Great donuts and service. Especially like glazed buttermilk, jelly donuts and apple fritter. Open early for commuters.

Yes this place is legit. I will walk this line to get something from TKB. 4/5 Service The line can look intimidating but moves rather quickly to order. Getting your food, we'll you have to wait. My party all got their food and ai was just standing there like a little kid waiting with anticipation. 5/5 Food I am just thinking of how warm the sandwich was. Went with the special of the day. I can still savor it, makes my mouth water. The Smoked Pastrami was delicious! Pastrami was tender, the garlic buttered french roll added a nice flavor along with the French fries. 5/5 Ambiance Seating in or outdoors. Lots of space even when it's busy. 5/5 Parking Spots are as available as the chips along the line inside. 6/5 Likelihood to Return I can't wait for work to send me to Indio again so I can try another one and walk the line to order. It was well after the lunch rush but it was pleasantly busy. Employees were friendly and checking on patrons, serving food and tending to empty tables. We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. I'm pretty tolerant of grumpy people (you know, sometimes there's a reason) but this just felt really icky -it was our intended destination after a hot drive from Phoenix and it did not sit well with us. We won't be returning. Food =10 Customer service = so disappointing 3

On a peak summer weekend evening, during one of the busiest tourist seasons of the year, this location had only two employees working. One person was responsible for scooping ice cream for a line of well over 30 customers (including many children), while the other was simultaneously trying to begin closing duties and keep the store clean. The wait for a single scoop of ice cream was nearly an hour. This isn't an employee problem. It's a management and staffing problem. Watching these young employees--who appeared to be high school or college-aged--do everything they could to remain kind, professional, and efficient while being set up to fail was genuinely upsetting. No employee should be expected to serve an entire packed store while also maintaining cleanliness and preparing for closing. At minimum, a rush like this should have had multiple employees dedicated to serving customers, with another person focused on cleaning and operational tasks. As a customer, I was less bothered by the wait than I was by watching two people shoulder an impossible workload. It also raised concerns about whether employees are realistically able to take their required breaks when staffing is this inadequate. Kayla and Ishmael deserve recognition, a substantial raise, and sincere appreciation for maintaining professionalism under circumstances that would overwhelm almost anyone. They represented your business far better than your management did. Management needs to do better. This level of understaffing is unacceptable, especially during predictable peak business hours. It's 2026--businesses know when their busiest seasons are. Proper staffing isn't a luxury; it's a basic responsibility to both employees and customers. To Kayla and Ishmael: if you're reading this, thank you for your hard work. You deserve to work for an employer that values your time, your well-being, and your effort.
