The good is their donuts are really good, the not so good is how much the prices have jumped. So just stop going there.

We noticed this place a couple mornings ago when we ate at the Belgian restaurant next door. We came back to get donuts for my son. The place is Cambodian owned and the owner knows the Donut King (see the Hulu documentary). The place is in need of an update and has probably been in business in a couple decades. Unfortunately the place was dimly lit which didn't give out much energy. The owner wasn't particularly friendly or enthusiastic. There was a standard array of donuts that appeared bland and boring in need of more color. My son liked the glazed donuts and voted 3 stars. read more

I picked up a little over a dozen donuts for an event and came here because it had good reviews. They did not disappoint, the donuts were fresh and many folks at the event said they were the best donuts they had dried in the palm springs area. The owners were helpful picking out donuts. This place used to have really nice donuts but something was definitely off this time and I wonder if the management is new? I almost thought it was closed at 7:30 am on a weekday as the place was dark inside but it was open. Everybody knows that good donuts have a nice, shiny and fresh looking chocolate or maple coating but not these donuts. I struggled to pick one that looked decent and opted for the cinnamon glazed and was shocked it was $3.90 for ONE donut. I paid because I felt weird leaving but knew I wasn't going to eat it. I walked over to the Albertsons in the same plaza and for $1.49 each I got beautiful and tasty chocolate glazed with pretty Thanksgiving color jimmies and a nice cake donut--all very fresh. I won't be stopping into swiss Donuts again and it's too bad but again, $3.90 for a donut?! Wow. read more

Absolutely my favorite donut stop in Palm Desert. They have the best selection of French donuts in town. They are so light and airy. And they come in a variety of options: glazed, chocolate, maple, etc. The glazed donuts are delicious, too. And the cinnamon rolls are big and tasty and just pure heaven. The place wasn't hard to find with a lot of parking. It was mid-morning by the time we came by and unfortunately there was not a big selection. I know it doesn't seem like a busy area especially during the time of year but I was expecting to have at least a few of the basic donut flavors. The donuts were okay. They didn't taste fresh or as fluffy as the other reviews have noted. I am a little disappointed about that since I L O V E donuts. The woman who helped us seemed straightforward and wasn't super friendly. Because of the lack of selection, we just ended up getting a half dozen and leaving. They have a lot of seating inside and one table outdoors. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be to sit inside though. I might have to look around the area for some better donuts. read more

First time here this morning & the parking lot was a bit of a hassle to try to get out of as most exits are right turn only. Service could be friendlier as I almost felt unwelcome when I entered. Not a big selection. I actually went in for a breakfast sandwich but I guess they don't offer those anymore. Only thing they had premade was a ham and cheese croissant. I opted for the bear claw myself. It's pretty good, not much filling and not super sweet which I like. Not sure if I will be back. I have been wanting to come and drop by this donut shop and today, we did. I was so surprised to see a very well kept and updated donut shop and it was just so refreshing especially here in the desert. The kids got some boba, which they said tasted fresh and the boba has that good chewy texture; just the way they like it! About my choice, I got a chocolate cake donut topped with almonds and I must say, I enjoyed it very much! It was perfect with my black coffee! And when it comes to service, Ken and Janet are the best! They talked with us for a while, too, and we had a nice time chatting with these great people. BEST DONUTS IN THE DESERT! We were in town for a week and visited 3 times. The apple fritter and glazed buttermilk are easily the BEST we've ever had! I usually go here right when they open in the morning. Each time I've gone here, their donuts have been delicious and fresh. The lady who works there is always pleasant and kind. The donuts are the standard $.99 cents, unless you get one of the larger, top shelf ones. I usually get the chocolate custard filled and the crullers. I think their Hwy 111 location is a little bit more expensive? I've been to that location once and I think I paid 1.10$ per donut, but I can't be sure. read more

I liked these and would go back. They were inexpensive as well. I purchased a plain glazed and a cinnamon-flavored roll. Both were pretty good, but were more "light" or "bready" than those I prefer from my southern upbring on the Shipley's chain (my benchmark). They also were a little light on the glazing, and I like sugar. read more

If you need a quick donut fix, this place will do, but they don't seem to go the extra mile. I think sometimes things are not as fresh as you'd like them to be. I've eaten at this doughnut shop once and the doughnuts were amazing! However, I've visited numerous times after and they always seem to be closed. No matter the time of day. Decent donuts located only a few miles in from the highway. I had a maple glazed donut and a coconut glazed donut with a coffee to start my day. Maple is a flavor that I've never gravitated towards unless it was on my waffle, pancake or French toast. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this donut tasted. The coconut, not so much, because it was kind of bland aside from the shreds of coconut over the top of the donut. And the coffee was simple, but complimented the donuts well. Now my number one local Donut Shop! I was blown away by the selection and the donuts were delicious. For every 6 donuts you buy, you get one free, so I ended up with 14 donuts!
