Yummy donuts! We love buying a dozen when we vacation nearby. Good service. Accepts credit/debit

Ate one before the pic lol

Right next to Starbucks, so perfect to get my Americano and some donuts. The shop is small and quaint. Never super busy. Donuts here are really good and fluffy. Just good ol fashioned donuts. Glazed, maple, chocolate, sprinkles, no sprinkles. Just minus one star because some days there are slim pickings. Even at 7am. [Review 1/100 for 2018]

Nice place the donuts are good but I have to go next time to try this place and I saw this pic with two donuts.

Under the parchment is a maple bar and a chocolate bar.

Really good doughnuts. Never super greasy like some other places. The people who work here are always nice. I like cream filled doughnuts and if they are out they will add cream to a chocolate bar for me. I stopped by today at around 6 am and grabbed a half dozen.

My husband and I dropped by randomly looking for food on our way to Indian Wells and the cinnamon crunch donut that I ordered was really good! It was very light and fluffy, and just overall delicious! My husband ordered a bacon bagel sandwich and said it was also quite good. Drop by if you're in the area in search of a quick breakfast!

Wowzers!! Beautiful donuts, hand decorated, and obviously done with love and precision. Had a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. Omg. It was AMAZING!! And it was gigantic! So great!!

    Great selection

It's very hard to find good French donuts, but Swiss Donuts delivers. They have an amazing variety of donuts etc. And they also have wonderful coffee. This place rocks!

Good donuts. Fresh if you go early. No more needs to be said really. Two stores on Monterey.

I went in to buy donuts for my co-workers. How are we almost in 2014 and some businesses still only take cash?

It is decorated in gorgeous pinks/greens/blacks. It's so beautiful that you don't know what to look at. Jennifer checked in on our table and went above and beyond by even letting us try their mouth watering key lime pie (I am not a key lime fan and thought it was fantastic)!! What really stood out though was the service. We weren't even talking to our waiter at the time and didn't realize he was within earshot, but my friend had mentioned how good the potatoes looked and that she wished she had ordered them. A few minutes later, Sal surprised us by bringing them out to the table. It was such an unexpected, thoughtful gesture that completely made the experience. Great food and a beautiful setting, but that level of attentiveness is what really sets this place apart. Sal turned a great brunch into one we'll remember.

Unlike so many other parts of trips out here - the oppressive heat, dodging careening buggies driven by seemingly lost and possibly inebriated golfers, and the discovery of sand in eyes / nose / shoes / liver - it's a tradition that sits very well with me. I'd even go as far as saying that the food here makes all of the above worthwhile. The restaurant has a car park to the rear and limited street parking in front. The interior has a lovely ambiance, quietly refined by subtle lighting and a gentle arboreal theme. I've seen it busy and our party has also had the place to ourselves on late visits, but I'd definitely recommend a reservation just in case especially with a larger party. The staff provide attentive and genuinely caring service, and the portion sizes are substantial and easily justify the more-than-reasonable cost. The food itself though is the reason this place is always a highlight reel spot for me. Every dish is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. My personal go-to is the perfectly seasoned and healthy Harvest Salad, usually with an added protein (the blackened chicken adds a real flavor kick and the variety in texture that I love in great food). Fortunately my partner happily defaults to the opulent and delightful Lobster Lasagna, as I'd be loath to miss out on a bite or three of that too. Appetizer-wise, I'm yet to regret any soup-of-the-day choice. The Zucchini last night was... well... yep, perfect is no overstatement. Sweet Basil is an absolute gem, and a must-visit for any visitor here. The only even remotely negative things I can think to mention is to be aware of the rather early closing time for at least part of the year.

We had the Grilled Portabello Mushroom topped with melted Gruyère, roasted tomatoes, garlic aioli. Very yummy that melted on top. The service was pleasant and attentive.

Amazing food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere!…read more We ate at Rockwood during our stay at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert, and honestly, this place is amazing! I will say, the hostesses and waitstaff gave us two completely different experiences. The hostesses were a little standoffish and didn't really give us that warm, welcoming greeting you'd expect. Once we were seated, the service was completely different. Our first experience was dining in the main dining area with the whole family, and our waiter, Gerardo, was absolutely wonderful! This was actually our second time having him serve us, and he was just as attentive and friendly as the first time. We had traveled about 2 1/2 hours to get there, and by the time I sat down, I was STARVING. I asked if they had a banana because I needed something to hold me over while we waited for our food, and Gerardo brought me one right away. Now that's service! And the food did not disappoint. The tuna tartare was AMAZING. My husband had the green chile burrito and loved it. I ordered the burger and fries, and let's just say I devoured it! My daughter had the shrimp tacos and said they were amazing as well. We also came back for a second dining experience, after my husband played a round of golf, this time at the bar area, and I actually loved the atmosphere even more. It was calm, quiet, and just a really nice place to unwind. Our food came out quickly, and it was the perfect way to relax after a busy day. Overall, Rockwood is definitely a place I'd come back to. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the service from people like Gerardo really made our experience memorable. Just work on that first impression at the host stand, and it would be pretty much perfect!
