Swizzler is so good! I remember when they were just a small food truck serving hot dogs at Capitol South. Some of my happiest memories of working on the Hill and seeing this truck pop by -- that was before they even made burgers! I can confirm that their burgers are quite tasty and their fries are really good. Not sure what type of oil they took them in, but I think it's what makes them so much better! I wish they served their specialty hot dogs at the brick and mortar location but I think they've only done that a few times. read more

Better than Five Guys. Better than In-N-Out. I just got back from LA, and I didn't think the crown for America's best fast food burger was in doubt (Team In-N-Out here). Then Swizzler blew my mind. The bacon jalapeno cheeseburger is a smart, classy revelation of consistently perfectly prepared delicious double beef patties (grass fed, who does that!?), melty American cheese (good riddance, Five Guys' barely melted afterthought), actual good bacon (again shame on you Five Guys!) and an assortment of sophisticated little touches like candied jalapeno, arugula and sliced AND diced pickles. This burger fits the classic mold but has serious personality - the incisive flavors and golden mouthfeel are like no other fast casual burger. I pity anyone who hasn't tried one yet. P.S. the shakes are golden too! Don't get the Washingtonian burger though, too fussy without delivering the knockout punch. read more

Worst stand in Nats Park by far. Everything is pre-made and the employees sit there on their phones and hope you won't ask for help. And they're sure to be rude if you do. My toddler loved the Burnie Mac hot dog with mac and cheese. My wife built her own cheeseburger. The parmesan truffle fries were okay. They have a variety of sauces but none were super flavorful. Also, I met Jesse in store a few weeks ago, as I have been back multiple times since my initial review and he's so down to earth. I'm a young African American woman that works around the SE location and no one, especially business owners converse with me. Everyone is usually rushing or overwhelmed. Swizzler was a fantastic treat when I was looking for a quick bite, specifically a good hotdog, in Navy Yard. I ordered the Burnie Mac, a 100% grass-fed dog topped with homemade mac & cheese, toasted bread crumbs, and sweet + spicy zzq sauce. It was delicious! They had a few booths for seating inside and of course you could carry your dogs to eat in a grassy area nearby if you wanted to. I enjoy the Swizzler! It is very chill. The ladies who work here are so sweet and funny. And the food is good. They have crispy fries, and that's the way fries ought to be! We loved everything about this place! Their signature sauce is so so so good. We came here for a super late dinner. I wasn't that hungry, so I just got some fries and a milkshake. Just finished my food. The burger was good. Nothing spectacular or mind blowing. I ordered the #1, Signature Cheeseburger, that came with fries and a drink. I asked the waitress, "does bacon come on it?" and she replied, "no but you can add it". I said, "ok, add bacon". I DIDN'T GET BACON! I wasn't charged for it, but I wanted bacon!! After a Washington Nationals game, while walking back to the Metro station, we found Swizzler. Swizzler has a simple menu of various types of cheeseburgers and crispy chicken sandwiches (they also have a veggie burger). You can make a cheeseburger or crispy chicken sandwich a meal which means the addition of their Golden Spudz (house-cut fries sprinkled with sea salt) and a drink. My family had the crispy chicken sandwich meal and I had the signature cheeseburger (100% grass-fed beef double-patty smash burger with cheese, griddled onions, pickles + signature sauce on a fresh-baked potato bun) meal. The fries come with a variety of sauces. The sandwiches and fries were excellent. Swizzler is a perfect place to get a pre or post game cheeseburger or crispy chicken sandwich. Service was good. You don't often get a burger + fries + drink for less than $18 in DC, so the price is right. The quality of the food, too, was great. Perfect greasy spoon for burgers and fries. It's super close to Nationals park and the Navy Yard, right off the green line Metro, so perfect for a quick bite. They only have around 5 burger options, but I liked the simplicity. Their currently featured burger is a bacon jalapeño burger, which looked good, but I opted for the classic cheeseburger. Their fries were super crispy and salty, and they provide a special sauce as well. The burgers are super delicious and filling, and are a great value for your money. They also have a variety of sodas, as well as a veggie burger for those going meatless. They don't have a ton of dining space, but we were able to find a table just fine. I really like this place. I've eaten here twice. The burger is nicely done. I did a double patty cheeseburger. It was cooked to order and steaming hot. The fries are nice and crispy and well seasoned. I didn't really need ketchup. I've also had the chicken sandwich here and a chocolate milkshake. The milkshakes are thick and you will need a spoon to eat it as the straws they have are so thin it's hard to even drink a soda. I will say the milkshake is not as creamy as I was hoping and had large chunks of ice in it. The chicken sandwich is nicely seasoned but mine was far overcooked and chewy. If you eat here, stick with the burger and fries. Both times I went to the place in Navy Yard and it was tidy and the service was courteous and helpful. read more

First time trying this truck - not just hot dogs but also cheeseburgers. Ordering online is the best way to go, super easy, all you have to do is pay online and pick a time for pick up. My order of the Swizz Stack Meal was ready at exactly the time I specified, no wait at all.
