I ordered two items. The sampler platter is a really good appetizer. It gives you a sample of three different items. But to counter the fried food, I ordered a grilled chicken salad. There wasn't very much chicken. I'm not even sure there was any dressing on it. I had to use my own. The container was full, but it was packed with iceberg lettuce. It was my family's first time getting Thai food and it was delicious! I ordered the See Iew with tofu and light sauce and I've been itching to eat it again ever since! I'm not a huge fan of sauce and they put the PERFECT amount of the sweet soya sauce! They were very fast in completing the order too! For a whole family of 7 ordering all different things, it only took about 30 minutes to fulfill the order for pickup! Our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Love that they have so many gluten free options. The apps are amazing and it's so nice to be able to have so many choices. The curries are great. I love their red snapper curry dish. Also love the fact they serve brown rice. My daughter loves getting the cheesy noodles. The service is good and the decor is very normal Thai restaurant. This was a great find not far from us. I've really been enjoying a lot of different Thai Curry lately and so I've been actively looking for new places. I ordered take out from this place and it will be our go to for the foreseeable future. Where I love a good curry my wife is a fan of the Pad Thai. She had the signature Pad Thai and I had the Vegetable Curry. Both were very delicious and generously portioned ( I had it for dinner and lunch the next day). One thing that stood out was that their "mild" spice truly lived up to what I consider mild. I don't mind medium spice but I've too often had the misfortune of getting something that I asked for mild and it came with five alarm fire level of spice. At least for this order they got it made to order and I'll keep coming back as long as they keep that right. The staff was friendly and efficient. They didn't see my order immediately but a quick trip to the kitchen returned with my order ready. SCS definitely doesn't lack Chinese / Asian / Thai cuisine options. However, Sy Thai is definitely one of the best. Sy Thai Shores has been a Saint Clair Shores staple since the 90's. It's taken me until recently to give it a try. I love the countless options that are offered. Everything is so rich in flavor too! My boyfriend enjoyed the Sesame Chicken entree. The rice was plentiful and the chicken was a perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. It came with fresh veggies, too. I opted for one of the Thai dishes, Tofu Pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly soft and the spice level was unreal. I got medium spice and it was amazing! The tofu was tender too! So much food to share for everyone and leftovers for days! Don't forget to order the crab cheese (Sy Thai's version of crab rangoons) because they are large bits of fried perfection. AMAZING! Can't wait to try more options soon! read more

I ordered crispy rolls and they were inedible because were burnt like they were heated too long in The microwave. The plum sauce was poured all over them. Yuk. The fried rice was still white rice with no flavor. The pad Thai was the same a big clump of noodles without any flavor. The Tom Yum was ok. I have the utmost respect for food servers, but they are barely trying here. No shrimp chips; they were unapologetically out. This place has gone so far downhill since Covid, it's in the earth! Every single thing is different. No shrimp chips are served when you sit down anymore, all the sauces taste different, spring rolls are completely changed, staff is unkind. I found not only a pineapple in my meal but a cashew too - both not supposed to be there. If I was allergic to nuts, I could've died. Just based on what I got and what I paid for it I'd say you'll get a good meal at a fair price here. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but if I'm in the area it's a good choice for Thai. Parking in front and back, and it's free. Dining area is clean and very nice. Storefront is unassuming and EASILY missed, so pay close attention, it's just kinda there in the middle of a strip mall with nothing standing out that easily identifies it (other than their sigh, but it looks similar to all the others in the strip mall).
