The hostess were a little weird making it awkward. The three of them acted like it was their first day and had little experience. The waiter was nice. I noticed everyone had bread but us and the waiter said he forgot. Then he came back and said the bread was stale and was going to bring us a fresh one. We didn't get the bread until we were done with our food. The food was less than average. I ordered the jack Daniels steak but it lacked seasoning. My mom had the burger though and said that was good. Really not impressed at. The only thing saving them was the waiter was nice. read more

My experience was mediocre. The food was standard. Our server, Ben really knew the menu and gave some great recommendations. When asked for certain items it took way too long and I had to ask another server and she forgot twice and then Ben remembered. Went on a Friday afternoon and the bartender had the whole bar area which was slightly crowded. She was a good server, brought water often but when we asked the host to turn down the music that abruptly turned up, she replied, "I guess I can see what I can do." They eventually turned it down. The appetizers are average, especially for the price. The only thing to go here for are wings and a beer, even though the beer is even slightly over priced. Overall, not impressed. read more

I love Syberg's. When they opened the O'Fallon location, I was super excited! I'm a huge fan of their food. My favorites are the Mahi sandwich, the fried fish sandwich and the chicken philly. Everything I've ever gotten was good and the service has always been great too. The only complaint I have is their pizza crust is always burnt on the bottom. I've never reviewed a restaurant on Yelp before, but in the case of Syberg's, I've created an account specifically for giving this place a bad review. My girlfriend and I went here together on a Sunday afternoon, and we were both pretty displeased. To start, we got the shark chunks appetizer with the Cajun seasoning. They were actually pretty good, but way overpriced at $9.99. It was a small amount, they were probably a dollar a chunk. They're served with fresh fruit on the side which seems like a strange combination to me, and we didn't care for that. For our actual meals, I got the fish sandwich and she got the steak sandwich. My fish sandwich was about eight dollars and was literally just a fried piece of fish on a bun with crinkle cut fries that probably came frozen in a bag. I could have made the dish at home, easily. It was supposed to come with tartar sauce, but I had to ask for it and I was charged fifty cents for that. In fact, any sauces we ordered cost us an additional fifty cents that we were not aware of initially. As for her steak sandwich, she said the steak had no seasoning and came with the same crinkle cut fries. The steak sandwich cost almost thirteen dollars. She also didn't care for the ranch dressing which was strangely sweet tasting. The service was alright. You could tell our waitress didn't really want to be there, but she took care of us. The food didn't come out super quick, but didn't take forever either. My bill ended up coming to $40, not including the tip. This was my biggest issue with the place, it is simply way overpriced for the quality of the food. We could have eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings for half the price, and we would have enjoyed that much better. In conclusion, we will never eat there again, and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

My family went for the first time tonight. The service was very good. The server knew the menu, bar special was good and they had a kid's menu. However, the food was not that great. I realize they are known for wings and shark - maybe that's all they should serve. I had a salad that was terrible. The salad size is very large, but it needs to be edible. My husband thought the wings were decent, but has had better. The appetizer menu looked pretty good. I would go again to meet up for a quick drink before the movies, but I would not go for an actual dinner when there are so many other places in the area that are better. There are plenty of TVs for those that like to watch sports and it was clean. And it wasn't super loud so you could actually talk and hear those you were with. read more

We went for happy hour last night for half price appetizers and drink specials. We have had numerous happy hours there. We were not informed until our bill arrived that they changed the appetizers on the half price deal. There were drink specials online when we asked at the bar we were told they were not actually doing them. We spoke with the manager, Doug. He was not interested in our concerns nor did he apologize. When we asked about the change in appetizers we were given 2 different answers. We were also told the changes were posted all over the restaurant, they were not. We will not be visiting them again. This was our second time dining at Syberg's. The first time was just okay, however, the original wings were really good. The second time we went we were expecting okay food at an okay price....nothing special was expected based on our first dine. Once again, the wings were good. However, the rest of the food was sub-par. Why people stand in line for this food, really confuses me. One of our party ordered the fish and chips, and it came out nearly burnt crisp. The manager did the right thing and comp'ed the meal, but we could not all eat together. The bread came out hard as a rock, and they readily replaced it. The gumbo is like tomato soup with sausage and seafood mixed in. For service, we were never even asked for an ice tea refill. Syberg's made everything right, but the mistakes in serving and service should have never happened in the first place. read more

My husband had the chicken provolone and he didn't eat it and he usually will eat anything. O'Fallon, IL I have several compliments to hand out here. I worked with Carly (Mgr) to plan my Retirement/60th Birthday Party. Carly was awesome to work with, very knowledgeable and I didn't have to worry about anything. On the day of the party, Sarah (Mgr) was very accommodating and helpful, once again I didn't have to worry about anything. Your management staff at this location are all friendly and so very helpful! Now for the biggest compliment...Ashlie our server was beyond awesome, she was right on target with everything, keeping up with everyone's drink orders and asking if there was anything I needed, kept me informed as well as offering a helping hand. This is the first party that I have been the hostess of and was actually able to enjoy the party and mingle. My guests thought very highly of Ashlie and kept commenting on how great she was even after the party was over!! The management staff and Ashlie are truly great assets to Syberg's. Waitress at Arnold location made a minor billing mistake ($7) - no big deal - corrected all but $3 - manager adamantly refused to correct. A $50 bill that should have netted the waitress a $10 tip resulted in a $4 tip and a poor review on Yelp. The manager, not the waitress, should be ashamed. Now I get to tell everyone I work with about the poor experience I had at Syberg's Arnold. That's a poor management decision. Next time, eat the $3 and keep a customer. read more

I was so excited to hear Syberg's was coming to Illinois! My husband & I ate here tonight & we were not disappointed! We had the Appetizer Platter which has their wings, Sygon's, mozzarella sticks, toasted ravioli & potato skins. Everything on it was so amazing, the Sygon's especially! I had the Pasta Con Broccoli & it too was good. The sauce was a little runny, but nothing to complain about. My husband had their Salmon & he's still raving about it! I had a couple bites of it & I have to say it's some of the best salmon I've ever had! Way better than Joe's Crab Shack! The atmosphere is awesome too! I worked in the building when it was Lone Star Steakhouse & the building on the inside & out really look great! Katrina was our server & she did one amazing job! You could tell she really loved her job & enjoyed being there & making sure we had a great time. She was so sweet & always smiling! We had an hour wait before we were seated & in that time one of the owners (can't remember his name) introduced himself to us & made small talk with us. I thought that was really nice he did that. It showed that even though they were extremely busy, he cared enough about his guests to introduce himself & welcome us to their new restaurant. Make sure you stop by & eat there!
