This is a wonderful dental office! As a person who absolutely dreads going to the dentist, I can honestly say that Dr. Sami and his wife, Dr. Hovasapian, are the best and most caring dental health providers I have come across in a very long time. I had a dental emergency in early April and was in a lot of pain. My dentist was not available on an emergency basis, so I found Dr. Sami online, called his office after hours and left a message. Dr. Sami called me back within an hour and gave me an appointment for the next day. He did a very thorough exam and explained that I had a fractured molar. He discussed my options with me in detail and was very patient with all of my questions. When the molar was extracted, it was complicated by the fact that the tooth was partially fused to the jawbone. Throughout the lengthy procedure, Dr. Sami took excellent care to be as gentle as possible. When I contacted them a week after the extraction because I was still in some pain, they got back to me immediately and saw me promptly. They explained what was going on (my gum had not yet grown in over a small part of the bone, which meant the exposed nerve was causing the pain). They gave me a revised recovery timeline and advised continuing with Tylenol. Throughout, I found both Dr. Sami and Dr. Hovasapian to be highly professional and intelligent, kind, patient with my questions, and warm. Also, their office is spotless, nicely appointed, and they play soothing spa music (which helps keep me calm!). It's located conveniently in downtown Montrose with off-the-street parking. Since my experience with Sygma Dental in April, I have decided to switch dentists and will be going to Sygma for all my ongoing dental work. He also went above and beyond to connect me with a trusted root canal specialist and personally followed up with him to ensure everything went smoothly. I couldn't have made a better choice. Dr. Sami is not just a dentist he's an exceptional prosthodontist who takes immense pride in his work and truly cares about his patients' well-being. I can't praise Dr. Sami enough! My grandparents were in need of new dentures and we came to Dr. Sami. His team took detailed imaging of their teeth and analyzed their dentures thoroughly. Dr. Sami said that he wanted to try to re-line and re-mold their old dentures and avoid the costs of doing new ones. So we had weekly visits where he made adjustments to the dentures and he was able to remold them successfully.
