    Have been trying to resolve a billing error that was not my fault for over two months now. Cannot…read moreget beyond the call center. Was promised my account would be "recalled" from collection agency, but agency says they never got recall, so there's still an open account under my name. Asked to speak with a supervisor at Physician's Billing after I was told to call back in 15 days. I finally got somebody. During my explanation I was disconnected and not called back.

I was…read moreinstantly greeted with animosity and a condescending tone, and he continually yelled at me through the entire conversation. I repeatedly asked him to stop yelling at me, which only made him yell louder so as to be louder than me. I finally just let him finish his ranting and then asked, "Are you done yelling at me now?" ... to which he answered, "Yes." I then thanked him for admitting that he was yelling at me, to which he offered not dispute. I then asked him his name, he told me John P., but refused to give me his entire name (I got it from my physician's office), and he told me that he was the owner. He asked why I was asking (he yelled it actually) and I told him that he had the worst customer service that I had ever had and I wanted to speak with someone else (which was when he told me that he owner the business). He said that he had been dealing with "people like me" for 22 years and that I was just trying to get out of paying a bill. I told him that he had no idea who I was...or what "kind" of person I am, that I was just trying to get information, at that time, he hung up on me. At this point I have refused to have any dealings with him, or any physician that does business with him. I called the physician's office that I went to, and informed them of all of this so that they would know how their patients are being treated by their billing service. I strongly recommend that businesses do not use the Physician's Billing Service in Napa, California, and that consumers do NOT do business with any office that uses Physician's Billing Service, for your own good...you may end up having a question...and you will pay dearly for it!

On the date of the incident, I visited this business to send a standard document envelope from Napa, California to Santa Monica, California. I explicitly requested the most economical ground shipping option with tracking. Instead, I was informed of the following: That USPS tracking was not available for my shipment; That I was required to use FedEx tracking instead; That the cost to ship a standard envelope would be $47. This pricing and explanation appeared inconsistent with standard USPS ground shipping services. Based on my prior experience using independent mail centers in Benicia and Glen Cove, similar shipments typically cost approximately $5-$13 and include tracking as part of the service. After leaving the business, I independently verified the issue: A USPS representative confirmed that the quoted price was not consistent with USPS Ground Advantage pricing; Independent mail centers in Benicia and Glen Cove confirmed that USPS tracking is normally included and that the $47 charge was significantly above standard rates; I later completed the same shipment at a different mail center in Glen Cove for approximately $13 using USPS Ground service with tracking included. This suggests the possibility that I was either misinformed about available shipping options or directed toward a significantly more expensive service than what I requested. The behavior I experienced may potentially fall under deceptive shipping or misrepresentation practices involving mail services, including situations where customers are: Told USPS services are unavailable when they are actually standard options; Directed toward higher-cost carriers without clear justification; Given inconsistent or misleading information about tracking requirements. I am also concerned about the potential impact on vulnerable individuals. While in the business, I observed elderly individuals and individuals who may have limited English proficiency, who could be more susceptible to unclear or misleading pricing practices. When I questioned the pricing and declined to proceed, I was met with a dismissive response, including the phrase "Welcome to Napa," delivered in a condescending tone. This interaction gave the impression that such pricing and treatment may be considered normal in Napa, which is deeply concerning as a consumer and community member.

He answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed or like we were just another client. You can tell he loves what he does and wants educate his clients well on the tax law. WE WILL NEVER USE TURBO TAX EVER AGAIN AFTER TAX ACE, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU! We will be loyal customers forever! When they tried to charge me more the in last year I used them, even after she indicated the rate would remain the same, I questioned it. I was told that her time was too valuable not to charge the new rate. Fine, but then don't indicate the rate would remain unchanged. Even so, I tried contacting them last year to re-engage and received no reply. It's too bad because I can bring them good business, esp. since they have relocated again to a closer location to my home. I'll keep looking. Edit: as for the absurd comment that I ever spoke to her staff in a disrespectful manner, that simply did not occur. I stand by my review and will keep looking.
