Other apartments in the area are cheaper with better appliances and even have colors on the walls, not here! I've been here a year and the two appliances are already breaking...the cheap vinyl they got for the floor is peeling/rising up, on an area that is right next to the wall, not even a traffic area.... The one bedroom is basically a studio apartment with a door to your bedroom. When you first walk in... boom, Everything is there, no extra spaces, no hallway,no extra walls.. nothing just a studio area.. so you pay 1,500 PLUS UTILITIES for a big studio!! Also given the area I don't understand why rent is so high, look up the crime rate for this area, the amount of times I've had to get on the floor due to gun shots...

And there was a deal with our apartment so of course we took it! But once we actually got into our apartment it was a lot of things wrong. I told them about everything which they fixed certain things but not the nitty gritty issues. I'll start off with the small stuff, microwave was broken and it took 4 phone calls to have them come fix it. The stove did not work properly, it would get too hot on the lowest setting causing my fire alarm to go off, it took them two months to actually listen to me and fix it because their maintenance team swore up and down that it was working properly! The refrigerator was getting wayyy too cold no matter what setting it was on, causing my food and drinks to freeze. I wasted a carton of eggs because they were frozen and wouldn't properly cook even after thawing them out. Now to the disgusting part of it all, the freezer had big eggs in it. Yes, eggs that come from a bug.. I do not know what kind of bug but the freezer was infested in it. The refrigerator had flies, ants, and nats inside of it. I complained but was told there wasn't much they could do, but due to me being homeless before I came here I had to suck it up and clean it out myself. The entire apartment was dirty and disgusting I had to get the carpet shampooed, and I had to do an entire deep cleaning prior to us brining out stuff in because it was just that dirty! The front office knew of everything but they couldn't do much and like I said after being homeless I had no room to really complain and get upset but due to the fact my car was stolen and the apartment won't do anything about it because it was stolen by them I might as well just write an honest review. After cleaning up my apartment it turned out nice so I can't complain about that. But I was lied to about the pool, I was told that the pool and gym was 24 hours just for me to move in and the apartment opens at 8am and closes at 10pm. I'm a night person which I told the leasing agent that so I explained how great it was that the pool was open 24 hours just to find out she lied. And the manager is completely a liar and terribly heartless. I thought this would be a great place to recommend for my friends but at this point it's not looking too great. From the beginning of my lease it wasn't too great but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Jessica and Brandy are extremely nice and caring when it came down to my situation but the manager? Terrible truly, he does not deserve to be in the position of higher power because obviously it has gotten to his head. It's sad because I really enjoyed the roommate style set up but it's just not good at all.... I moved here from San Diego and reserved the place before I had a change to see it in person…read more There are some definite pros and cons: Pros: Maintenance is FAST There is a security guard on site The pool is cleaned daily The gym is clean and has TVs on each machine They allow dogs and have outdoor clean up stations and the carpet hides any "accidents" well You can barely hear your neighbors even when they are loud (good for neighboring barking dogs too, which we are fortunate not to have). Cons: The apartments can be rather roughed up (cracks in appliances/light switches) There is no business center but the people at the front office will let you print from their computer, which can be awkward at times. There is no jacuzzi You can only pay rent with a check, a $10 cashier's check, or a $4 Moneygram unless you want to shell out $30 to pay online each month (wtf, who even has that option?) Overall, I have to say that the price for a 1 bedroom is fair; I would recommend looking at the individual unit before renting to see the state of the appliances but other than that everything else is pretty good!

Her support made a stressful process much smoother. However, I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 5 due to a few issues I experienced after moving in. The apartment was not cleaned at all before my arrival it was extremely dirty and even had visible mold in the dishwasher, which was pretty disappointing. I also had an uncomfortable experience with maintenance. I had made it very clear that they were not to enter my apartment unless I was present. Despite this, they came to the door, knocked, and even though I yelled out that I wasn't dressed and not ready for them to come in, they still entered anyway. As a teen, this was really upsetting and made me feel unsafe in my own space. Lastly, for about a week, my gate key fob wasn't working. I called multiple times for assistance and it took nearly a week before I was even provided with a temporary code to get in. That said, I haven't had any problems with noise or neighbors, which has been great. If the cleanliness and communication had been handled better, this would easily be a 5-star review.

For transparency the charge was for a bad check under $500. The case was closed over a decade ago and has never stopped me from renting prior to this. Folks this was intended to be a much higher "high rise" there were also suppose to be multiple building las on site, but do to the horrific recession in 2008 the owners lost funding and the building sat unfinished. Then in early 2009 the building and lands sold at auction the firm that owns the Echelon hired a few Managment companies and had a rough time at first but then they hired Stout and that's all it took. They got stuff back on track. The building aren't upgraded because they don't need to be, THEY WERE BUILT THIS WAY, the smallest unit was selling for $1.8 million. Take that into thought 1,200sq ft! That's Vegas money folks. There are only 62 units in the building in NO WAY is this a rental money making goldmine. Most of the units are 1 bedroom and 3 bedroom however there are three penthouses of 4 bedrooms and numerous studios as well as lavish two story studios. The units are all full of the most lavish amenities; there is floor to ceiling marble in the shower, we have a massive I MEAN MASSIVE Jacuzzi Brand soaking bathtubs and marble everywhere, we have beautiful shag carpet and the appliances and equipment is all high end. All the units all have massive utility closets with huge huge high efficiency quick heating hot water heaters and are peplumed and wired for in unit waters softeners, we have a trash compactor a wine fridge a MASSIVe chefs kitchen featuring all Bosch appliances, compete with a five burner marble counter mounted stove top also with a huge convection microwave double stacked full size Bosch automatic cleaning ovens, yes OVENS TWO!!!. The fixtures are all high end. People if you get the chance to call this home you should! My husband and I don't plan on leaving ever. We are on a higher floor we have an amazing Mountain View, all the units have massive sliding glass DOOR WALLS! Yes like entire walls that slide open to our 1,110 square foot wrap around balcony. You read that correctly 1,100! Our unit is a 3 bedrooms 3 baths with a full computer nook a walk in closet the size of most studio apartments lol and so much storage you will not have a hard time storing your things with a total of 2,100 square feet! As well all units include two secured and permanently assigned parking places in the underground garage. We have also huge storage rooms you can rent and we have two units that we were able to move all of our items in our offsite storage to our building and have it just downstairs in the basement eliminating the need to rent a van or truck to get stuff we need out of storage and it's saved us $100 a month. They building has a STAGGERING 17 DIFFERENT FLOOR PLANS, apartments don't offer that. Back to what I said these were suppose to be lavish high end high rise homes. I'm writing this because we sold our home and stepped away from the shackles of being a homeowner and we sold a multi million dollar home. Finding a place to meet or lifestyle and taste was ROUGH VERY VERY ROUGH even for Vegas, because we had to live in the NW it's just home to us and there wasn't anything like that up here. All I can say is if you're blessed enough to stomach the lease payment and you can get lucky enough to get a unit, also keep in mind it may mean you need to take a unit you didn't want and ask to get on the waiting list ASAP to get the unit you want. We did that and two months later we got our dream unit. If you want the best service that you can be pampered with and a home that you can make your own then Echelon is it. They have approved us to repaint. We also have painted other rooms and accent walls, we've been allowed to change and install some of our beautiful high end Swarovski light fixtures and chandeliers. The units are 100% fully wired, fully wired for Cox, DirecTV, Century Link, the units are all pre wired for an alarm, there are CAT5e plugs everywhere so you can hardwire your networked electronics allowing them the fastest most extreme connection. There is a massive commercial dish on site and every unit shares it so there is no ugly satellite dishes all over the place. Echelon is the EXCEPTION! You won't find many building or if you can even find one ever again like this. What we've discovered living here is most people don't leave because they aren't happy, the truth we've learned is that most move because it's expensive it is so let's not lie. But I'm telling you it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! It was intended to be sold as single units offering the finest amenities and the high life of NW Vegas and the surrounding so why not make it home!?
