Definitely one of the most carefully crafted yoga studios I have ever been to. You sort of feel like you've been transported to somewhere in Southeast Asia. I love that there are heat lamps, blankets, and other accessories for use during the class. Although, the space is epic I didn't really find enjoyment in the class. It was supposed to be a relaxing low impact yoga class focusing on slow movements but I didn't really feel that at all. The instructor was nice but I found her transitions were confusing and sometimes didn't make sense. She wasn't really saying the name of the poses either. To me the instructions felt like I was taking a Pilates class. We were also holding the poses in my opinion way too long to the point I was actually feeling pain. And some poses were really advanced and didn't make me feel relaxed at all. I personally do not like it when there are lyrics in the music when I do yoga. Although it was more mellow indie songs I found it extremely hard to focus and it was kind of loud too. I would prefer just non lyrical relaxing music. At least for the part where we just sit/lay down towards the end. In summary, I don't think I would come back. I am used to donation based yoga around San Diego. If you want more traditional yoga I would just stick to the free classes around town.

A business shows their values through their priorities. When I called and tried to book a class today I could only get an AI chat bot. It didn't understand that I was trying to book 1 of 2 available classes today. Then it couldn't find my account in the system. When someone called back later, he acted like I should've known that I could've just come in. Well maybe if someone answered or the website said that, I wouldn't have booked a class with a studio that answered my call. When the guy on the phone tried to offer assistance, another person who I didn't know was on the line started asking for my personal information. At this point I didn't even feel comfortable disclosing my name, and I don't feel welcomed or comfortable coming back to this studio. Sad because I had some really important emotional breakthroughs here. But I guess they don't even know I exist or have my account in their records so I don't know... I'm disappointed in South Park Yoga. And I do not want to support business that use AI like this. It's lazy, anti-human, anti-spirit, goes against everything I agree with and honestly, yoga is supposed to be about Purpose, Process, Soul, Intention, Grounding, REAL LIFE. What does it say about a yoga studio that uses AI? The soul is gone. Or it's AI generated now. Brad and Marilyn: I didn't know you were both on the line until you started talking over each other. It was uncomfortable. And yes it is a replacement for human connection when this is the result. And how was I supposed to know I could text a phone number? He provides modifications and allows you to go at your pace that you are comfortable with, all while encouraging you to push yourself to the best of your abilities. His playlist is also amazing with music that will get you flowing! I was dripping in sweat after his workout, which is a great indicator to how amazing the sets were! Yoga box in Hillcrest is always clean, organized, and has the most friendly staff. They provide mats and towels (free for first time) and $2 thereafter. The room is heated to around 90 degrees and it feels like a warm hug whilst you are working out. Occasionally, the instructors will open the doors to allow fresh air in during the classes. They have cold filtered water as well as a bathroom inside the studio. They have weights and blocks for you to use depending on what class you're taking. There is free parking, but it's shared with other establishments in the plaza, so make sure to get there early enough to secure your spot. They recommend you come 10 Minutes earlier than your scheduled class to settle in. That feeling you get after finishing a tough workout does wonders for the soul! If you have stuff, there are some little cubby spaces available. It wasn't super hard to find parking; it took us maybe 5 minutes to park (street parking) and then we walked about 2 blocks. The only downside was how many people were in the class. It was super crowded, but they did a good job spacing everyone out so that you still had your own little area without bumping into anyone. The studio itself was very clean and had a calming, relaxing vibe that made it easy to unwind. Overall, it was a refreshing experience. If I was not moving to Chicago, I would definitely sign up for the membership.

I'd say that's the only thing to plan ahead for as they mentioned there's $4 validated parking in the lot beneath the building & only street parking so just make sure to plan ahead & give yourself enough time to park and make it into class on time.
