This was my first time doing float therapy and it really was a cool experience! I received a session as a Christmas gift and I was very eager to use it. You can book a session online or call the center. I did have a bit of an issue trying to figure out how to book with my credit so I ended up having to call for assistance. The employee was very helpful and I was able to easily book after speaking with her. I booked one day prior to going and there was a lot of availability. What stood out about the center is that they have different floating options. I wasn't quite ready for the pod, so I chose the floating cabin. There is also an option for something that is similar to a small pool. The center is located in the Old Town Virginia area. There is plenty of parking and a sign to let you know where to enter the building (go down the step). The place is very clean and serene. Upon checking in, there is a beautiful lounge with magazines, tea, and water. The room with the cabin was a nice size. Along with the cabin, there was a shower and an area with a robe and towel. They provide earplugs and petroleum jelly for any cuts. The floating experience was amazing and peaceful! Imagine just floating under the stars in peace and quiet for an hour. The cabin was spacious. You could fit two people in it. I like that they provide a detailed video of how to float on their website. The only thing I would bring to your attention is that I had to wait about 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to start my session. There was someone scheduled before me in the cabin and they were not done by the time I checked in. Not sure how the scheduling works. So just be prepared for a possible wait. Overall, I would definitely come back for another float session!

This was a Christmas gift last year and I have been enjoying it ever since. Yesterday, my husband and me did individual floats in the float pod and tranquility pod. I have floated in both and although there are minor differences both were great. We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after our floats. Each room has a shower, towels and a robe. We enjoyed quiet time and tea in the reflection room and got the best night sleep. Staff is great and facility is clean.

This place was just what I needed! It was so relaxing. The staff was friendly. It was my first float and I appreciated the tour, with explanation of the different equipment and float experiences. Loved the relaxing tea room afterward as well.

Man oh man was this exactly what I needed! My wife bought me an amazing package for my birthday and I had been looking forward to visiting Synergy for quite some time. They have plenty of on-site, private parking so no worries of hunting down spaces in Old Town. As this was my first time there was paperwork. Luckily I was able to fill it out ahead of time and get that out of the way. Upon arrival all I had to do was get the intro and off I went! I was given a grand tour of the place by a very knowledgeable staff member. My wife bought me 30 minutes in the infrared sauna and a 60 minute float. Synergy is extremely clean and very well maintained. Once you come out from the back there is a calm room at the front to decompress and gather yourself. It was nice to just sit and relax a little after all of that self-care. Do yourself a favor and have a float!

I really like this place. The own does a good job explaining float therapy. The entire experience is very relaxing. Just make to sure to cover your hair really good because it can be hard to get the salt out of it when you are done with your session.

This place is amazing first of all, When you park in the designated parking spot that says 1240 you have to proceed downstairs of the sign that you see synergy float spa. That's where you enter. Then once you get inside there is a beautiful waterfall oasis that awaits you. Now I haven't tried any of the other services yet but I did try the infrared spa and I have to say that that is the most comforting way to fall asleep if you're having those issues. Even if you're an active gym member there's no better way than having your own personal I sauna to listen to music and decompress for the week. I definitely recommend anybody come here whether it's for a bridal party, a great deep experience or if your solo just a place for you to chill and reset your battery to start over again.

Synergy Float center is a new addition to Old Towne. I've been to other float spas, but this is the first that impressed me from start to finish. Everything from the owner, staff, the amenities, layout to even the decor was efficient and thoughtful. The process: My husband made a last minute reservation for a float session. Jawad was very helpful and polite. He answered all our questions and explained the different options. I elected for a float and hubby went for the magnetic resonance therapy. First star earned. The location: The center is nested the north part of Old Towne Alexandria. Parking is clearly marked and free. Big plus. The entrance is down a set of stairs, right across from parking spaces. Second star earned. The center: Chris, the owner greeted us. He was warm and inviting. Given this being our first time, we asked for a tour. Chris was thorough in explaining each of the different services and our schedule sessions. The establishment was clean, well organized and relaxing. Third star earned. The experience: I have floated in pods before, this was a first time in a cabin sized one. The room contained a shower with complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner. Center also provided a towel, robe, a small basket with ear plugs, petroleum jelly, and even a little bottle to help with clogged ears. Inside the floating cabin was a small towel and a water bottle in the case you get water in your eyes. Fourth star earned. The finale: When I finished with the session, I made my way to a little station to quickly blow dry my hair and then to the relaxation room. While watching the waterfall installation, I enjoyed a delicious cup of loose leaf tea, and wrote a little note in the guest book. Quick note, there are little tea bags, small scoops, honey and stevia for the tea. Fifth star earned. Additional notes: Synergy is a veteran owned business and is involved with Pathways for Veterans by providing an environment for veterans to work through their mental and physical wounds.

No salt on the floor, no soothing deemed lights, nothing attached to the bucket of water for my feet - NOTHING!!!!! You sit in a small cold room, similar to a basic waiting room. You're asked to remove your shoes and socks. A lady comes in and pours water into a bucket and tells you to let her know if the water is warm enough. The water becomes cold really quickly. There's nothing in the water except a sprinkle of maybe tea (???), not sure.  However there is no aromatherapy of any kind.  She then flips a switch and says something should be coming out of the wall, I'm thinking this is the salt, but nothing ever comes out - just an annoying humming sound. So I'm just sitting there in this ice cold room, with my feet in this now ice cold water, just waiting for my Groupon purchase to happened.  At least 40 minutes pass by and she opens the door - doesn't say a word to me - at this point she's giving a couple a tour of the facility.  I'm now waiting for my second portion of my purchase, which was a 30 minute Salt Box Session for One (the first portion of my purchase was a 30 minute Aromatherapy Foot Bath for one). Back to my horrific adventure. About 10 more minutes pass and she walks in and says, "hey, are you staying with us all day?".  I explain that I didn't know what to expect with this particular portion of the purchase, but I'm not at all fond of my feet sitting in cold water.  So I'll make a mental note to not purchase this again. I also notified her that she opened the door, never said a word to me in regards to next steps.  I then ask, nevertheless, are we now going into another room for the Salt Box session? She says this experience was both the foot bath and the Salt Box session combined in one 30 minute session. I say "You must be kidding me.... the Groupon purchase stated "One 30 Minute Aromatherapy Foot Soak and One 30 Minute Salt Box Session for one person". The bottom line, I sat in this cold room, with my feet in this cold water, for 40 minutes, never saw even a speck of salt?  Are you kidding me right now????"... I ask her about the picture in the ad, explaining that's what "I" paid for, she responds, "oh no - that's another room and another cost".  At this point, I just put on my shoes and socks and prepare to leave (remember she never told me next steps).  To add "salt" to my wound, (pun intended) after I put my socks and shoes on and was heading out the door, she attempt's to hand me a 20% off coupon to use towards my next visit.  LADY!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW???? Bottom line, BUYER BEWARE...

Note: again, this was my experience and my very first time at this salon but NOT my first time getting lashes. Pros: Crystal was professional, courteous. Salon was clean. Cons: Lash extension poorly applied. I got my eyelash extensions on Saturday, and I had to have the lashes removed the very next day by a different eyelash salon. I arrived on time for my appointment. In fact, I arrived fifteen minutes early but waited in my car because the salon asks that you not arrive until five minutes before your appointment. No problem...just pointing out there was no need to rush the process. I requested Classic Full Set and received part Classic, part Hybrid. That wasn't a problem. The issue was that my lashes were clumped/glued together. I couldn't even brush them using a spooly because they were so stuck and stiff. Lashes grow at different rates. If they are glued together, this could damage the cuticle, causing severe lash loss. To those who've never had lashes, looking at my eyelashes, you might have said they seemed fine. When I looked in the mirror after Crystal was done, I too, thought they looked fine, but as I drove home, I noticed my right outer corner had more lashes than my left and my eye started to droop a little. The more I blinked the worse it became. The lashes were so poorly applied, the professional who removed them ask, "When did you get these lashes put on?" I said, "Yesterday." She was shocked and went on to say the lashes seemed dry/old and probably shouldn't have been used in the first place. Two, she said there was far too much glue applied. Three, some of the extensions were glued to my top lid with my natural lash, which only happens when you place the extension too close to the base of the natural lash. There was even glue on my bottom lid...Crazy! It took her three soaks with lash remover and two lash baths of my natural lashes before she could carefully, slowly, pick away the glue and separate all of my natural lashes...took TWO hours to remove. Removing lash extensions typically only takes about 30 minutes. The lady was so patient, and in the end, asked that I wait a while before getting lashes because my natural lashes were in bad shape after the ordeal.
