The solar panel installed by Synergy Power at my home still works great and I truly enjoy the energy savings of going solar. I also received a personalized gift from Synergy Power before Christmas Eve to value me as one of their customers, what a surprise! It's just another example to show how they care about their customers and are willing to go above and beyond. Keep up the great work, Synergy team! My review on 05/29/22 (not sure why Yelp blocked it) : I normally don't write a review for any merchandise or service, but I think Synergy power is totally worth my compliment for their transparent price, prompt communication, on-time, and professional installation, and after-sales follow-up. The quotation from Synergy Power is not the cheapest, but I think it's the best value for the quality of solar panels that they used and the professional service that they provided. I was initially very impressed with this company but since then have had a change of heart after seeing how things have played out. After having a very expensive system installed on our home, we were hit with a large true up bill by PGE. There was a lot of back and forth with Synergy during this time and a lot of misdirection on their part. When it was all said and done they said that the system was performing great and producing what they quoted it would produce. The problem is that clients like me don't know anything about how much power is needed or going to be produced. We want our power usage covered and that's what I had asked for upfront. We do not use a lot of electricity especially according the size of our house and our family size. Im not kidding when I say we cannot turn on the heat in the winter or the AC in the summer unless we want a huge true up bill. Before that first year, I again hired Synergy to install solar on a small apartment complex we own. The communication from start to finish was really poor and we never knew what was going on and when. I had to reach out several times to ask if our solar was even on yet or not. During the installation process they would come and go randomly and since it was an investment property I didn't see there comings and goings. They would even communicate directly with the renters and ask to be let into the different units. They didn't tell me that. Apparently they put a electrical panel in one of the renter's units and the breaker to the solar got turned off. It was off for months when I was hit with a huge true up bill of over $4,000. When I reached out to Synergy they were very dismissive and condescending. They were quick to throw the blame on me and say its the home owner's responsibility to make sure the solar is on and working. I had no idea this was even a thing. They had mentioned having an app that I could install on my phone but never was it mentioned how life and death important this app is to monitor regularly. I watch the solar closely on my own house through the PGE website which is updated every couple of days. But I had not been monitoring the rental property. When I told the owner Eric about all the issues I have encountered and how it all looked from my perspective he said that I signed away my rights when I signed all their disclosures up front. I am not an attorney so I can't say for sure if legally their disclosures protect them and their actions from any recourse but an owner that hides behind his disclosures and doesn't make issues right with his customers is NOT someone I want to do business with or refer others too. They tried to get as much business as they could before laws were updated and changed and their sole focus was on selling and not service. As a business owner myself I can understand trying to strike while the iron is hot and generate as much business as possible but then you have to know that there will be service issues and things that you will have to take care of to make things right. Even if the owner Eric is protected by his disclosures legally; morally and ethically he has an obligation to make things right. Use extreme caution with these guys before deciding to work with them. My business partner really wanted to use his own solar company and I pushed Synergy on him and that has created a rift between us now with what has happened. read more

Also, all the coordination, scheduling in between the processes were seamless. Eric is not just a sales person, but an expert and educator that wants to help you with what you need. We had been thinking about going solar after moving into a new home that was all electric, and seeing our PGE bills rise in the summer with all the AC usage. We were at the Home and Garden show when we found Synergy Power. Their rep Greg R. took our info, along with our PGE usage and set up a date for him to come show us what we could possibly be saving. He came by a couple evenings later, and after chatting for a while about it we decided to go for it. The rest of it has been even easier. The office team was always there to answer any random questions we had, and the site install team was there when they said they would be, and kept us up to date on the progress. They take care of it all, so we didn't have to look into anything like permits, installers, etc. No messes left behind and the install was done in a day. PG&E just approved my system installed by Synergy. Every step of the process was smooth. Nicole in sales was great and super responsive answering all my Emails same day. Rich did a super job managing the plans and permitting. Jasons crew installed the panels in a single day and wiring only took a couple additional hours. I have an older home and working out the critical loads and splitting out the circuits was a JOB. These guys are Smart and work really hard! Having said all that the homeowner should do their own homework and learn about what kind of system (grid tie, battery storage, backup generator) before you reach out to a Solar company. I spent weeks researching and I still had questions. Be aware the rated generating capacity for panels and the amount of electricity your system will generate will not be the same. My advice is to pad your system by about 10% and seriously consider Battery storage. Do this while you can still get the tax credit! you won't regret it. read more

As in the past, we use YELP to see reviews from other customers/members for various projects. So, when we decided to go SOLAR we did the same. We sought out 3 companies with 4 plus star ratings, inclusive of Your Energy Solutions, which our neighbors recommended/used. We settled on Synergy do to their five star reviews, quick, clear responses and immediate descriptions of the procedures, along with the setting up of appointments. We Facetimed/Zoomed with Nicole who showed us what the project would entail and look like, she answered all our questions. Synergy had our panels delivered and installed within 3 days, 22 panels. The technicians were not only efficient, but took the time to tell us exactly what was transpiring. I apologize for not knowing all their names. Synergys pricing was similar to Your Energy Solutions, but they use a different product (and truthfully not nearly as responsive ). The 3rd bid was quite a bit lower but lacked a large amount of 4-5 star reviews. Although we decided not to put the battery reserve in until we were sure we were happy with the Solar system, when we do, Synergy will at the top of our list. We have no negative comments and to date very happy with our experience. We had a really great experience overall so far. Passed inspections on Friday and waiting for PG&E to approve our system. Things that stand out to me is how smooth the process has been and their employees. There is a program called Syndy that follows a ten step process of completing the project with regular emails about where your project is. Rich who managed the project and our foreman, Phil were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating throughout. In the end, the workers are the most important since the work they do are the finished project. I was impressed how clean they left the project. One unusual and exceptional issue was they talked me out of purchasing more. I wanted to use a heat pump for my pool, but the owner actually discouraged me because of the inefficiency. The sales person, Dave, called the owner out of the blue to ask him and place him in a 3 way conversation with me. It was impressive how pleasant the owner was considering the interruption. I chose this company since it had a nice small company feeling maintaining high quality coupled with the size and capability of a large company in terms of warranty. read more

I did my homework before deciding on Synergy Power. They weren't one of my original choices, but circumstances led me to them and it turned out to be a blessing. I worked with a couple of companies initially getting quotes and having conversations through EnergySage. Then opted to go with Tesla, which on the surface appeared to be a better option and the most reasonable. Then we ran into last minute design issues, hardware compatibility issues with my new one year old roof (added cost for a new roof basically), and the week before installation deciding they had to downsize the system (which then only provided 67% of my needs). I found out because of a change to the contract cost triggered an auto notification to me, and they never called me to discuss it. So i turned to Synergy Power as a last minute option through a referral and they were for us, the right choice. Besides the referral and checking out their Yelp reviews, their pricing was competitive and financing was reasonable and easy. For the equipment they offered options for both the panels and battery but I went with their recommendations and not disappointed at all with the choices. We've even had some awful weather in the past 30 days so i know the roof isn't leaking and so far it looks like we're sending more to the grid than we're using, and it's not even summer! The real selling point for me were the people and how professional and caring they were. Once we got the quote which was fast and made the decision, they were like a well-oiled machine and moved quickly. And customer service is everything to me. From Mike in Sales never pressuring me, giving me options and being available throughout the process including post sales...he was just here yesterday, Rebekah handling all my paperwork and helping me with the oddest requests for taxes, Rich for keeping me in the loop constantly on the design, delivery, scheduling, and staying on top of permits and PG&E, the installers like Phil who were fantastic, courteous, very efficient and quick, and lastly the electrical team who did a very clean job, caring about my preferences, and educating me. They filed all the documents and applications within days, allowing me to sign online so no paper going back and forth. They were constantly communicating from the office. I contacted them through Yelp and they were the most responsive of all of the companies I reached out to and were flexible in scheduling a time that worked for me. We had a knowledgeable and professional technician, Jason, who went out of his way to explain the issues that existed with our existing solar system, even recommending that we did not go ahead with cleaning of the panels as we had initially thought we needed. Because of an unfortunate previous experience with a different solar company, I took a long time researching Synergy Power. What a difference! From the first interview (which answered all my questions without being pushy,) through the planning process, installation, and follow-up afterwards--the Synergy team could not have been more professional or more quick to respond. The solar equipment was just what I wanted, but even more important, the service response was immediate and thorough. I work in a service industry, and Synergy is what service should be, but often is not. I was amazed that they responded to all my questions same day. They fixed anything that needed adjusting within 24 hours. When looking for a company to provide and install solar on our home it seemed that there were more solar companies that Starbucks or McDonalds in California. And that's just the greater SF bay area. After weeding out at least 40 companies i was down to three. We listened to the sales pitch and the proposals and Synergy Power was hands down company we wanted to partner with for our project. Fast forward to installation day. A crew of 4 (Donelle, Hunter, Wyatt and Johnny) arrived on time, worked hard, took in some of what i would like to see and worked magic! This is one of only two companies that was willing to also provide me a interconnect for my whole home back up generator. Yes there was a fee for the extra work but it was VERY REASONABLE! From my prior working years i am very fussy not only about things being installed correctly but also how the job looks when complete. Donelle, Hunter, Wyatt and Johnny hit the ball out of the park.
