He even chatted with me about my experience in Japan, his experience in the states, and let me practice the very little of the language I still remember from high school (it's been a long while). But the food...if I lived here, I'd be a regular. And quite honestly, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. We ordered a few things, including the salmon teriyaki dinner. It came out sizzling (literally) but was still perfectly cooked. It wasn't dry or super fishy, just absolutely delicious served over a bed of vegetables with a side of steamed rice. We also ordered a few rolls which, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of because I was too busy actually enjoying my food.
