    Pad Thai with chicken
    Angela J.

We came here just on a whim and it's such a cute lil spot. We started with the crab Rangoon which was pretty good. Could use a little more crab. Alone it was kinda bland but with the sauce it was actually very good. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. Honestly the flavor is very good but it was very unfortunate that the chicken and tofu came out very dry. Had it not been for that I would have given my dish an 8.5/10 but because of it unfortunately I can only give this a 6/10. My buddy got the pad kee ma ( drunken noodles) with chicken and again the chicken was very dry. It was also just kind of a bland flavor. Just a little disappointing. If they maybe added some garlic and a little more sauce I think it would have really elevated the dish. One thing I really like was it seemed like all the sauces were house made which is fantastic. I would still come back here to try some other food. But hopefully they can just get the meat to not be so dry.

"No views but good food" sign inside says it all. Tasty, hot food with lots of options and wonderful service at a family-run spot. Pad se ew was tasty, as was the mushroom beef and wonton soup. Many spice options if you prefer very little. Noodles were very Al dente and pad se ew sauce was a bit sweet. Great food for the price!

This is a family owned restaurant operated by a mother and son team. They are so friendly and attentive - 5 stars!! The menu offers an extensive option consistent of Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and American cuisine. Since the owners were Thai, we decided for stick with their Thai offerings. We got their Pad Thai, Khao Soon, & Green curry! Flavors were meh... way too sweet.

This review is specifically for vegan/vegetarians. The food was great and there are lots of options. The takeout menu has a vegan/veggie section so ask for that menu. We loved ever dish we got and the iced Thai tea was probably the best one I've ever had. The owner is also amazing and very sweet. We had so much fun talking to him! If I ever find myself back in Fairbanks I will definitely come back and recommend to all my friends who visit.

Yes Noodle Soup at Fairbanks, Alaska. Once you come in, the dining area is wide open and brightly lit from all the windows. It is clean. It is a family business. The host, hostess and all the people there are friendly, helpful and accommodating. They work efficiently as the foods come out fast. Foods are great. For my taste, the foods that I ordered were a bit on the sweet side. Even though I asked for more spicy, they are not spicy at all. Just add your own chopped chili or chili powder. Portions are great. Glad that I found this place.

    Loco moco with side salad

4.5. This place was great. We were in town visiting with a couple aging parents that are very picky. I was so glad to see that this restaurant had food choices like burgers, so I could order my favorite Thai dish khao soi and my husband got their special the loco moco. Everyone was very happy with their food choices. Parents got a burger that looked really good. They were very happy that they could order all three sides - french fries, onion rings, and a small side salad. My husband really loved the loco moco. They gave a huge portion of loco moco, and also provided a side salad. The salad wasn't just iceberg lettuce with a few carrots, this was actual nice dark leafy greens with tomatoes and cucumber. A very nice side salad indeed. With the loco moco it provided a very filling lunch. My khao soi was very delicious. Not very many places make it, so when I see it I have to order it. I also got a Thai iced green tea which was light, sweet, and hit the spot. The restaurant itself is very basic, but the food is great. Our server was very quick and very nice. I believe the owner even came over and offered us a blessing after the meal. At least that's what I assumed it was. I would definitely go back again.

    Pineapple fried rice w shrimp.

Can't say enough about this hidden gem, as soon as you enter you are greeted, the atmosphere is not fancy but what it lacks, (which isn't much), the staff and food more than make up for. I again had the coconut soup, mild was too spicy for this gal however it is still so scrumptious that I ate a lot of it! AND the server offered to make me another one- great customer service!! Next time I'll get no spice. hubby had the pineapple fried rice w shrimp. Oh man! Soooo delish and the pork egg rolls were light fresh a crispy. If you want a good meal, give this place a try!!! It won't let you down!

Service was attentive and the establishment was clean and inviting. The cashew chicken was good but not spicy even though I requested medium heat. The creamy Tom yum soup was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped. This spot is a solid 3.5.

The service was so nice and welcoming, clean tables, plates, silverware, and a very cutesy spot to eat at. I feel as if it would be better to have my soup on a colder day . The soup was amazing, it really satisfied what I've been craving and the sticky mango rice was amazing, the mango not being bitter was a good sign.

The food is always good. Service is also good. But they are pricey. I'd love to come more often if the prices are a little lower.

The staff in the restaurant were nice and we were able to get seated right away during dinner hours. The decor inside was very simple and casual. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

Ordered the Halibut Egg Rolls, Panang Curry with Halibut (which is not a normal menu item), Chu Chee Pla with Salmon, and Pad See Ew with Beef (which I have to order at every Thai restaurant I go to). I must say, this was up there with some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Not everything you see halibut in egg rolls, but I had to get it. the panang curry was up there with some of the best panang curry I've ever had, and it came with a fairly hefty portion of halibut. Chu chee pla was good, although it tasted a bit similar to the panang curry. Pad see ew was very good, and it was quite a huge portion as well. Staff here were very friendly despite being extremely slammed. There were only two people taking care of the entire restaurant and one cook in the back. Despite all that, the food came out at a fairly reasonable pace. Much kudos to them for working so hard. Really enjoyed my trip to Bahn Thai. I guess there really is elite Thai food up in Fairbanks!

We got the halibut egg rolls, which was freshly fried and a bit more refreshing than a regular one because of the halibut. The ginger fish dish comes with either halibut or salmon. We opted for salmon and it was overcooked but the ginger sauce was very good. Once we broke down the salmon to soak up the sauce, it was tastier to eat. There were 4 small pieces. We also appreciated the loads of vegetables that come with this dish - strange how much we appreciate veggies in AK. We wonder if the traditional Thai dishes are the way to go here, but our meal was still good.

Siam Square was not very good at all. It is located in an office-like space inside a building, and…read morethe interior was not well kept up. To top it off, the prices are quite expensive for what you get. The food really missed the mark. Pad Thai noodles were very mushy, and the sauce was way too sweet. Meatball Pho had a strange, slightly off taste that just didn't seem right. I'd skip the complex noodle soups and stickier noodle dishes in favor of a basic fried rice or a standard curry which might be a safer bet. (Check out the attached photos to see the space and the menu pics for pricing). Pro Tip: Because it's tucked away inside an office complex style building, it is a bit confusing to locate from the parking lot, but just follow the signs. To their credit, operating a Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in interior Alaska means higher ingredient import costs. Because delicate rice noodles, fresh bean sprouts, and specific herbs like Thai basil or cilantro cannot be grown locally during the harsh sub-zero winters, restaurants have to fly them in or transport them up via the Alaska Highway which explains the higher prices.

He thought the broth tasted good even though it was not the authentic kind. My mom loved her Pad Thai with tofu, while my sister enjoyed her Pad Z Ew with tofu. I ordered the Pa-Nang curry with chicken which came with rice and loved how it had a mild spice with a hint of coconut milk flavor but was tasty. I was also surprised at how generous the portions were considering the items were from their lunch menu. Important things to note: -I recommend dining in during the early afternoon because it did get busy at mid-afternoon. -Dine-in ends at 8:30pm but they will accept take out orders until they close at 9pm. -To enter the restaurant, you have to go through the Regency Court Mall first. -They are closed on Tuesdays Thank you to the staff at Siam Square for providing Thai food that resembles a home cooked meal.
