What a little gem!!!!!! First off lemme start by saying they have SIDES! Lemme explain they have a more casual dining area and on the opposite side they have a beautiful classy more elegant side. The menu is the same so don't worry about that. They offer sushi, hotpot, Korean Asian blend. I came with my daughter for a quick bite while waiting on laundry. We got the beef ramen and shrimp tempura. Both were just amazing!! The ambiance is great but I have to say if you are epileptic beware there are some flashing lights. The staff was friendly and what I thought was really cool is that they have private group rooms where you can dine and do karaoke!!!! If you have 6 guests or more you don't have to pay for the room. It's an all inclusive Asian experience! I will definitely be back. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I don't usually leave reviews, but I think it's important to share our experience. We arrived around 5pm as the only customers in the restaurant, yet still waited about ten minutes before anyone acknowledged or seated us. My husband ordered from the all-you-can-eat sushi menu, and I ordered a shrimp entrée. My meal was mostly rice with only two small pieces of overcooked shrimp that were rubbery and lacked flavor. We were eating our own meals without any issue, but when my husband offered me half of a single piece of his sushi to try, the staff yelled at us across the restaurant and then came over to reprimand us about their no-sharing policy. I completely understand restaurants have rules, but the delivery was startling, unnecessary, and uncomfortable, especially given that we had each ordered our own meals and were the only diners there. The service did not improve from there. The waitress hovered directly at our table, watching us eat instead of checking in normally, which felt intrusive rather than attentive. My plate was also removed before I was finished and without being asked. Shortly after leaving, both my husband and I became sick to our stomachs, which only confirmed our concerns about the food quality. Considering the price, the poor quality of the food, and the uncomfortable service, we will not be returning. read more

The good is that the food can be delicious and it's made fresh. We were looking for a different restaurant, but this one is what we found in the huge box building with the single-room tax office upstairs and bowling alley around the corner. We received tasty miso soup and a smile upon sitting down, and with a taste for salmon in Alaska ordered the salmon plate. The gyoza had no clear meat filling so we passed on that tasting, and the spring rolls were a bit too crisp to enjoy the filling. White rice scoop was standard and the spicy salmon roll a bit mushy. We struggled with the salmon. We had to send both platters back as the fish was raw, save for the edges. The second try - which took longer than the first - resulted in two smoking platters -smoking like I couldn't see across the table and we fanned the acrid smell away from us. The sauce was burnt to a crisp. The salmon was edible but the glaze had the texture of crude oil and stuck to any piece of fish that I flaked off the filet. Upon removing the salmon, which was cooked through, the glazed top was hard and crunchy - and tasty cold the next morning - yet not appetizing, so we packed up to leave. The staff was kind enough to recognize their error and didn't charge extra for the salmon roll. Next time we'll enjoy the soup and look to eat at Seoul Gate restaurant (which may be the same, but we'll give it try). read more

"A polite 2/5" as my brother said. Dined in on a Wednesday evening after a drive from Denali National Park for a party of 6. It was a little difficult finding the restaurant as it seems the building has other businesses inside? We were seated right away. Vegetable Tempura- tempura sauce was a little salty and the tempura itself was thicker than I'm used to Shrimp Fried Rice- was average and what you expected Chirashi- fresh and authentic, bowl is a little small but the fish seemed fresh Unagidon- rice wasn't sticky, avocado was hard, unagi was good but the sauce overpowered it, and the egg seemed to help "fill" up the bowl Spider Roll- basic, expected soft shell crab Salmon Tempura Roll- really couldn't taste or see the salmon, tasted like an upgraded Cali roll Chicken Katsu Plate- the salad was good, light! They charged extra and didn't speak good English so they were able to scam us. The chef was staring at us awkwardly and it creeped me out. The server had an attitude and didn't explain how the pricing system worked. When you buy food you should be able to do whatever you want with it but the tried to charge us an extra $20 for sharing food. They should try speak English instead they use their little knowledge of English to attempt to scam us. The only good part was the Lego Batman movie was playing. read more

What a fun place to get good Korean food and sushi. The restaurant is divided into two sections, one side serves Korean and the other side serves sushi. We had Korean. It is located in a building that looks a little rundown, and the sign outside this little faded, but when you go inside it's comfortable and warm. It's right around the corner of the building from Arctic bowl. The servings are decent. I got the hot stone bibimbap. If you're really hungry, you'll be able to finish it. My friend noticed that repeatedly her sushi came missing ingredients, to the point sometimes she couldn't even tell if she got the rolls she ordered. I had ordered the curry rice ramen and they forgot to make it, so I asked if they could check on it. We realized it wasn't fresh ramen but a cup of noodles kind of container cause we saw them bring it into the kitchen after I asked where the dish was. It was just cheap ramen in a broth with no veggies or anything, even though their image makes it looks like a legitimate ramen dish on the menu. If I can save one family wasting their money here, my job is done. We had all you can eat Sushi at $45.99 per person. All you get is 8 Sushi orders and the rest is rolls. After our 8 Sushi orders, full of rice with thinly cut of fish, I ordered a Rainbow roll and a spicy tuna hand roll. They were so huge and full of rice. Fish were sliced so thin and it was spread a-crossed diagonally. I never seen anything like this. Of course, they remind you " We will change extra if you waste food". No pictures were taken because I was so mad at this point. Now, we are not local and here on vacation. Not sure if this is normal here in inland of Alaska, but this was totally ridiculous. Literally in the basement of a bowling alley, the sign "all you can eat sushi" caught our attention. $25 all you can eat, this includes all cut rolls, hand rolls, and specialty rolls. Like most all you can eat sushi joints, you can't take leftovers. I had an Alaska roll, a New Mexico roll, and a 911 roll. All were very good. My co-worker had a couple of spicy tuna hand rolls and loved them. You also get Miso soup to start with. Will go back if ever in Fairbanks again. read more

We were not too sure when we saw the outside and looked into the door, but we went inside and down the stairs and through a slightly creepy hallway and found a truly amazing restaurant. Very neat and clean and very nice ambiance with fish tank and all. We did the regular buffet and were really impressed with the quality of food and taste. After finishing our meal and asking for the check the waitress stated to my friend to "hurry up and eat". The food? It was decent. My friend got the all you can eat sushi, which for the price seemed like a good deal, and did look yummy. I got a easy crunch roll. Not bad, not spectacular, it did the job though. I would have preferred the soy sauce not already be poured on the roll before I got it, but it wasn't an obnoxious amount and didn't ruin the meal.. It has a nice atmosphere, even though you have to walk down stairs to get to it. This place is a hit or miss. When the young waitress is there, she tries her best and does an amazing job! If she isn't, you will probably not be "waited" on and wait a while even for water. We just walked out after not being acknowledged/greeted for OVER 5 min. They have bells to announce customers walking in/out (it went off fours times...the 2 employ's saw us clear as day).
