I would say the food is good and probably a great place to get pick up lunch orders. But I had Catered lunch for a corporate event here through ez-cater and maybe that was one of the reasons my review/rating is less than perfect. I ordered a variety of subs, and sides to serve 12 people. Our order included: - Chicken with fresh mozzarella - Italian meats/cheese - Marinated vegetable with fresh mozzarella sub - fruit salad - Caesar salad - cookies All of the food items tasted good and everyone was happy with the selection. The bread used was particularly delicious. There was plenty of food left over, and I could have easily ordered 30-40% less for the number of people, but the way the orders are described, it's hard to tell how many people each sub feeds (ie: what is considered a serving size, how many pieces are included per sub). A few things to note/areas for improvement (reminder: this was through ex-cater): 1- They do not offer any drinks through ez-cater. This is a miss. I would have loved to order a variety of drinks to accompany our lunch. And when I tried to call the deli directly, noone ever answered the phone. 2- The cookies were small and hard, not a "bakery style" cookie I was expecting. More like a chips ahoy. 3- They charge $3.75/person for "utensils" which were delivered as a handful of unwrapped plastic forks. No napkins, plates, knives or spoons. I paid about $40 for a dozen plastic forks, which was insane. Overall the food quality was very good. However, the inability to order drinks and getting priced gauged for plastic forks are detractors. I'd come again for an in person order, unless they charge $3.75 for a fork, then I'll pass. read more

This deli is a great local spot with really good people working there. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and they take the time to make sure your order is right. Even when it's busy they stay patient, keep things moving, and you can tell they care about the customers. It has that neighborhood feel where the staff actually remember people and treat everyone well. Their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches are excellent and always cooked fresh. It's a great place to stop in the morning for a quick, solid breakfast. They also have a strong lunch menu with plenty of sandwich options and custom combinations. Everything is made the way you ask and the portions are generous. Overall it's just a reliable deli with great staff, great breakfast, and a really good lunch selection. This little deli is a real gem, and well worth the effort to find. The owner/cook Alfredo makes delicious hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches and dishes using quality ingredients. Place was jumping with people getting their deli to go, as I was, and it seems like your regular deli to choose from. Everything has been very standard and average, however the buffalo chicken wrap with grilled chicken I got sucked. Chicken was old, dry, overcooked, and messed up my stomach later in the day. I haven't been to Syosset in a little bit. Don't know why, I love it. But my younger brother needed help and before I do anything, I need breakfast. So when I saw a deli named "Syosset Deli" I thought how fitting. Parking was a breeze, the lot is spacious. I had trouble locating the deli, that's because it's in a building. But I'm not one to back down from a challenge. Once you get into the building however, the deli is clear to see. Now I always try to be honest in my reviews, the deli is small. It's also not modernized or new. It looks like a deli from the nineties. But that's okay. I made my way over to the lady; who I might add was incredible! She engaged me with conversation the minute I walked over. We joked and talked while my breakfast was being made. She asked twice what I wanted on my hungryman and it came out perfect. I saw her almost squeeze it like a panini and thought that was interesting. I asked if they had Apple Pay and she said yes, so that was another plus. The first plus however, was the food. My sandwich was incredible! It was kept together perfectly and had the right amount of condiments on it. She wasn't scared of cheese so she put it on. The bread was soft even though she pressed it. I was completely shocked, surprised, impressed and happy, all at the same time. This place was great! A true hidden gem. Trust me, if you have to move furniture and are in Syosset, I suggest you give them a try. Just don't go expecting to sit down and eat. read more

I would give this place 4 stars for the food. It's always fresh. The menu has a nice selection of wraps, sandwhiches, salads, even lettuce wraps and breakfast. My fav so far is the Baja turkey wrap, i add cheddar cheese, it has lettuce, bacon, avocado.... it's just yummy, can personalize it to what i want. So far it's been consistent, i've ordered with my coworkers 4 times now. Everything has always been delicious. The chicken noodle soup is very good, you'll have to call and ask the soup of the day usually 1 or 2. I like this deli a lot but i'm disappointed with the service. We have several orders with different credit cards most places if they want our business when the whole order is $80-$100 anyway in total accept our cards with no problems. This is why i'm giving 3 stars, i know it's a lot of work to take all these cards but the customer is always right? right? just saying, we like this deli but we get penalized for this. They complain that it's too much and too time consuming and blame that on the fact that it takes over 1-1.5 hours to deliver even if we call in advance to our lunch break. They have made us felt this way the last 3 times we ordered. Very discouraging and now i'm not sure if we will continue ordering from here. I like it it's just sad we are not praised for being good customers who order often. :/ read more

My coworker called in an order and waited a little over two hours for delivery. When she called to ask for an update on the food she was told "If you could please have all your orders faxed over by nine" - who knows what they want to eat for lunch at 9AM & also who still uses a fax machine? Food was cold and soggy by the time it was delivered. The people on the phone and the delivery man were all very nice & the potato salad was decent but just overall very strange and disorganized how they run their business. read more

Decided to try the place for lunch since I was in area. First off, the place is extremely hard to find. It's tucked in the office building and the deli sign is kind of small. I got the worst salad. I ordered one of the salads on special. First, it was squished into a little plastic container, so everything g was smooshed, I asked for it chopped and it wasn't. Will never give them my money again! We have given this deli chance after chance because the food is decent, the prices are reasonable, and they're close but we have had enough. I have never been to any deli that screws up every single order! There's always something not done correctly or things missing. Today the bacon on the sandwich was like rubber, when it was asked to be crispy and well done and there was no syrup for the french toast. When we called we asked if they could bring it since they are literally 1 minute away and we couldn't leave again, he said yes...that was almost 2 hours ago and nothing. Great lunch option. This place has never disappointed us. My office orders frequently from here. Their prices are great, Ice tea is perfect and meal specials are great.
