Couch to gather& share foods and fellowship!
    Aida P.

Small restaurant in a strip mall off Evers and Wurzbach. Don't let the location fool you! Fresh food and nice ambiance! They've been there for 12 years! (How have I missed out?!) There's a huge couch that people can gather in groups and share food and fellowship! Such a great concept! Will definitely be back!!

This was one of my first ventures into Syrian cuisine. Came here for breakfast after a morning hike and was blown away by the food. I'll be honest, my boyfriend ordered everything for us, but I enjoyed every bite from every plate. Staff was courteous and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet, friendly, and intimate. I'm looking forward to going back!

The food here is delicious! Definitely a place to go when you need a good home cooked meal. The atmosphere is quaint and there are loud groups at times but overall a really good business to support.

Food and service here is AMAZING!!!! You have to come here. The Turkish coffee is to die for. Authentic atmosphere & food. They made me feel so welcome and comfortable. We had Mandi chicken with cucumber/mint/yogurt salad, rice, mandi lamb, chicken schwarma & falafels. Can't recommend it highly enough. My son ordered out gyros previously and recommended it to me. I'll definitely eat here again and again!!!! Baba Ganoush looks fantastic. I'm trying it next time.

So let's start by saying. This is not a typical place to eat. If you are looking for service, this is not the place for you. So it took around 5 min for the person behind the counter to bring us menus & he just left them on the corner of the table. No smile, no Hi, no I'll be right back.... after 15-20 min the person from behind the counter (I believe the owner) showed up again to take our order. Took our order and left. Brought our drinks In 2-5 min. Soda cans only that didn't bother me (if you have any preference). Food didn't come together. We got our appetizers first tho. (2.5 stars) Atmosphere is quite, it almost looks like a hang out place for guys. Small place 25-30 max pushing. The only problem I will say, that if you have some ignorant customer who would make you uncomfortable. (3 stars) Food. So this is something that I was impressed. Appetizer were hot & tasted great. (Pita bread was in zip lock bag lol, was warm and not soggy. Don't have a problem with that as long as they were not microwaved) (so 4.5 stars on bread) I got my food in 10-15 min, took another 10-15 min for rest. Food was not warm but hot after 30 when everyone got their food my rice and chicken were still hot. Every thing tasted great. My family loved the food even my 5 year old loved it. (5 stars on food) ***7/16/19*** update Went with family for breakfast great experience. Food was fresh. Had a chance to chat with the owner. We had ordered the Breakfast Platter. Loved the tea. So will I come back to this place yes. Did i love the food yes. Service i can deal with. Now if I don't want to deal with the service make a pickup order.

I was not planning to review this because I was being selfish and I wanted this secret gem all to myself. Yeah, don't blame me. Being the first to review is a big deal and honestly during my to San Antonio, this is the only place I wanted to go. In fact, it was the only i place I went, (for breakfast at least). For ten dollars per person, you and your party will get a traditional arabic breakfast. Everything you can think of and more. Hummus, foul, olives, fresh pita and other dishes people might not know by name but rather by taste. The hot tea and this healthy yet filling breakfast is the perfect thing first thing in the morning. Too bad it opens at 10 am and not earlier. SORRY EARLY BIRDS! It's not the fanciest breakfast place in town but probably the most fresh, filling and bang for our buck you can find in Texas. I seriously want to transfer to UTSA from UT just so I can live in San Antonio and come here every day. The fact that there are nothing but arabs at this great arabic place just shows that it's authentic and tasty. I should mention it's closed on Mondays!

Parking: They have a dedicated parking lot, but make sure to get your parking validated. The validation is only good for 90 minutes. There's also street parking available. Ambiance: can sit inside, bar or outside. In summer, rec inside table. Bar seating looks a bit uncomfortable. The tall chairs we sat on indoors were also a bit uncomfortable with slight harsh lighting. But, overall- great great experience. Service: Impeccable. Everyones so helpful & attentive. Refilling waters. Refolding napkins. New utensils. Food: I'm still thinking about how good the food was! Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared without feeling like "healthy food." Highlights: Saag -- one of my favorites Chaat -- so flavorful Hummus -- really good Tetela -- definitely a standout Vegan brownie -- surprisingly delicious and a must-try Happy Hour: This is where Pharm Table really shines. 5-6 PM, Wednesday-Sunday. Ginger shot was a great touch!! The trio of dips is $24, and there are other bites for only $9. For the quality and portions, it's an absolute steal. Great option for a casual date night or grabbing drinks and snacks with friends. Spent around $90 for 2 people. Overall: Loved the food and especially loved that the menu is healthy without sacrificing flavor. Add in the happy hour prices and it's an easy place to recommend. Would definitely come back!

A great first date dinner place.

I have to agree with some of the other posters about things changing. It could be the prices of food, but that shouldn't ever mess with the quality of your product. With that stated it was still a decent gyro, but I've had much better, and much larger for what I paid! A lukewarm gyro, fries & a bottle of water - plus tip ran me over $20. Will I be back next year, probably not, we have a gyro place on base, & there are great Indian places across town. I hope they work on the items people are pointing out. If you're at a competing restaurant and the waitress tells you to go to another restaurant, you know you better go check it out! She was not wrong. Torchy's tacos has to be in my top five Taco places of all time. It is one of those places that just screams quality. It definitely has a cool vibe, and even better food and service. This particular torches had a very upscale field to it. Now. The last time I was at a torches was 2018. Since then they have obviously grown in popularity as more establishments had popped up. This particular one definitely had an upscale vibe but a down-to-earth feel. I ordered my favorite taco which is the Matador, off of the secret menu. Don't be afraid to ask for the secret menu at the Cash register. Register they will give it to you. I had the Matador which was a beef brisket taco in a corn tortilla with a layer of cheese and then a flour tortilla on the outside of that. And do not forget to get the queso and chips. Those will change your life. This is one of those places you'll only run into once or twice in a lifetime. The food is so good, and the place is so cool, they need to be everywhere. A torchy's tacos in Las Vegas, as it would go over like gangbusters. Torches, if you are listening, please come to Las Vegas. Vegas. I will even work as a bus boy for free to help get that thing off the ground. These tacos are that good. Bottom line? What can I say that I have? An already said? These tacos are absolutely wonderful, the chips and queso are to die for pretty much everything on the menu will change your life. If you ever ever out Texas way, go check out torchy's and prepare for a cosmic event to happen in your life.

The breading actually has flavor, not just crunch. They serve it with a spicy ranch that has a nice kick, plus pickles on top that add a little tang and balance everything out. The mac and cheese was bold. Very seasoned, definitely not bland. It leans more on the saucy side than thick and creamy, with a roux-style texture. For me, it was flavorful but slightly on the salty side. Overall: Really good lunch and absolutely worth trying, especially if you're at the Pearl and want something quick but satisfying. Bonus points for being Black- and woman-owned. Would I come back? Yes. Those tenders alone are enough to run it back.
