I'd like to acknowledge the exceptional work provided by System Pavers for the new artificial turf installed in my backyard. First, I'd like to thank Kelly Kasper, sales consultant. Kelly did a great job explaining the artificial turf installation process, turf type options, costs and financing. He also suggested that it would be possible to integrate my existing paver area to the left of the new lawn installation to tie it all together. Secondly, I'd like to acknowledge the project manager, Ryan and his construction lead Jose. The demolition, ground prep and installation of the new turf went very well. They kept me informed daily and let me know if any issues had come up. One example was what to do with the existing sprinkler system. I had two options which was to cap all of the water lines or keep one or two open for a drip system along the peripheral of the backyard. Initially, I wasn't sure which option was best and landed on keeping two. During the final turf installation a nail cracked the PVC water line. Both Ryan and Jose responded promptly to fix the issue and test both lines to ensure it was fixed. In summary, I am extremely happy with the results and the great customer service provided by all of the team members assigned to my project. Pam was our designer and she did everything in her power to ensure we were aware of every option possible. She knew understood our vision and was able to narrow our idea down and meet oud budget. She also help us coordinate with external vendors outside of the scope. Octavio was our PM and he has been responsive regardless of the time or day of the week. He's prompt, clear, and makes sure to communicate challenges. We had an issue with potential foundation and he brought out an engineering immediately to ensure no delay of project and prevent detrimental damage to our foundation. The teams come up with great resolutions constantly and really want to ensure the customers satisfaction. There are times we requested change orders and they swiftly made the changes. We couldn't be happier with our new paver stone driveway! Not only did this company do a fantastic job, but they've restored our faith in humanity. We've always had flooding issues with our driveway, and a few years ago, we let a con man talk us into digging up our concrete driveway and replacing it with blacktop. It was a disaster, with some of the worst workmanship you could imagine, and it introduced a host of new issues. We were really reluctant to trust anyone to fix all of these problems. Enter Team System Pavers! Lidiana came in and came up with a vision (which I could tell she found challenging, but was undaunted). She broke down every part, and explained exactly how to address every single issue. And she made sure that we felt 100% good with our decision. When Ryan, our project manager came on, I knew we were in good hands. Again, he explained each step, and what we could expect. And the foreman, Ben, and his team were quick, professional, and provided a great level of craftsmanship! Now, this job didn't go off without a hitch; there were a few hiccups along the way. That's to be expected in any sort of job like this. What impressed me is that when I brought these matters up, Ryan apologized for the miscommunication, and they made it right immediately. The communication was excellent, and they made sure we were happy with everything before I signed off. Could we have gotten a new driveway for cheaper? Probably; especially if we would have gone with cement again. But could we have gotten a better, more professional, and pleasant team or a more beautiful driveway that fixed all of our problems? I had System Pavers (SP) install pavers and grout selected areas with polymorphic sand over the past several years. Recently cracks had begun in a number of areas and I called SP for assistance. The remediation work was overseen by Oscar Maciel of SP's maintenance department. Oscar came to my house, walked through each area I had concerns about, took extensive video footage to guide the staff member who would be conducting the fixes, and explained carefully what was entailed in the repairs. He told me when to expect a repair person would be on-site and ensured I had no remaining questions. I appreciated Oscar's clear communications, careful assessment of the scope of necessary work, and follow-up. Reinforced my previous evaluation of SP and its staff as customer-oriented and technically skilled. The repair work was done by Manuel (sorry I don't have a last name). Manuel had to reset a number of the pavers and I noticed he used a level to ensure water ran off the walkways at a gentle slope. He is clearly very experienced and skillful and any SP client will be well-served by his involvement in your project. read more

They installed a putting green in a 17'x17' space in my yard. The project took just 3 days start to finish. They installed a "mow strip" of 6" wide pavers around it. They went the extra mile to demo concrete blocks and the existing paver concrete boarder that were in the way, and moved a French drain line and clean-out and replaced an underground irrigation line at no extra cost. I am very happy with the result. The green looks great and feels right. My only slightly negative comment, and it is a small one is that the green is a bit slow, but perhaps that's good for such a small space. The sales, and project manager were knowledgeable, polite, prompt, and friendly. I received a pretty significant discount because I was referred by an another customer. The System Paver's price with this discount was competitive with a Heavenly Greens quote without the paver boarder. read more

System Pavers put in a new driveway, porch and pool deck for me plus redid all my exterior lighting back in 2015. They did a pretty good job, although one crew tried to hide some waste on my property, which I discovered and they eventually removed it. I've needed some minor repairs since then and it's been difficult to get them to take care of that, but now it seems they can't be bothered. I wrote them an email on March 5th about the repair. No one replied. On March 11th I called customer service and explained about the email and lack of reply and was assured that someone would get back to me within 3-5 business days. Six business days later, on March 20th, I called again and the customer service person transferred me to the "repair department" adding "you may need to leave a message." He was correct, and I did, explaining once again about the need for a repair, and what steps I had gone through already. On March 21st, I called customer service again and re-explained what had gone on over the last 2+ weeks. The agent said she could see my request in their system and would send an email to the repair department manager with a notation that it was "urgent" to contact me. She added "hopefully" they would call me back that day. I guess System Pavers' customer service is based upon a HOPE that someone will actually provide some service, because it must be pretty poor when the customer service rep HOPES someone will actually do their job. I mean, come on, how can you ignore a prior customer for over two weeks who spent about $250K on a driveway, porch and pool deck, plus outdoor lighting who just is looking for a return email or phone call? I think the whole episode calls into question what must be occurring at System Pavers. The "system" appears to be broken, that's for sure. read more

Amazing sales and service experience! Right off the bat, we were well taken care of by Ian, who was on top of things and was there to answer any questions we had. We discussed many designs and he gave us a great rate for our back yard. Once we had a good plan in place, we met the build team. Octavio ensured everything was proceeding as planned and met us daily to check in and give us updates. The team had to deal with tricky rebar, roots and existing irrigation system, but they took care of everything. There was a bad batch of pavers and they changed them out without hesitation. They accommodated every request we had with sprinklers, footer locations etc and finished the job within a week. One small note, I'd request if they could have the crew switch to electric tools, the gas motor on those were way louder than the task they were performing (cutting, compacting, demolishing). I hired SP to build retaining walls and install pavers in my front yard (~2000sqft). The final product looks good but overall it was a stressful process with lots of finger pointing and communication issues. Ricardo (PM) and Maria (Designer) were primary point of contacts. Highlights: - Design: I gave Maria the design I wanted and she gave me lots of great feedback. She's been in the industry for years and very knowledgeable. I changed the designs multiple times and she was very patient in working with me. - Crews: Gonsalo, Alex & Antonio were friendly to work with. Gonsalo was the main crew on site. He constantly asked for how I liked things to be done when it came to edge cases and where possible tried to figure out the best solutions. It was great working with him. - Retaining wall change: in early chats Maria quoted me for 18" high. I asked if that was enough as the slope looked quite steep. She confirmed. Later on I decided to raise it to 22" (I paid extra for this). But when Ricardo & the crews started work, it turned out we needed up to 30" and they did it for me at no extra cost. - Help with plumbing & fence crews: I asked Ricardo to move debris out of the way so that my plumber could do their work and he agreed to do that on short notice. Gonsalo also agreed to delay laying down french drain pipes so that fence posts can be installed first. - Wall near fence: Ricardo noticed my existing fence & backyard are higher than my front yard so he suggested I install a small wall around it to make it look nicer. I appreciated that! - Cleanliness: crews always clean up at the end of every workday. Lowlights: - Communication: communicating was difficult. Many conversations & requests quickly became tense with finger pointing. Some requests although were fulfilled, the paths to get there were stressful. I was often put in "at fault" position and faced with statements such as "this was not in our original contract", "our specs said X inches, not Y", "We are not done yet", etc. It was significantly stressful when many changes/requests were made out to be such a big ordeal with lots of messaging back and forth. - Multi-Parties Management: SP is good at what they do, aka pavers/hardscaping. However my project involved much more including tree planting, fencing, irrigation & plumbing. SP didn't do these so I had to hire 3rd parties and manage them myself, for things such as: track construction progress to know when to install fence and trees; figure out any plumbing/cleanout improvements I should do before laying pavers on top. Ricardo was helpful in answering my questions but I had to know what to ask to get the information I needed to pass to the other companies to make sure things go smoothly. And that was very stressful. - Change Costs: when I had to revert some changes, the costs were very steep. For example, originally we agreed to build a 36" walk way and 36" entrance. In preview visit, I decided to reduce them to 30" to make room for planters. That night my wife and I decided to stick to the original design. Next morning (less than 24h later), I asked them to revert to our original specs but they said the orders have been sent and they charged me $6k to make the changes. After negotiation we brought it down to $4k. So I basically went back to where I was with $4k more added to the project. They did tell me that changes would be costly and I did expect change fee but I don't think the amount they charged me was reasonable, especially when the change was made in less than 24h and for the same materials as in original specs. Note: the price was not reduced when I took them out. Downspout Drains: Ricardo asked if I wanted to install downspout drains but I didn't understand why it was important so I just said no for simplicity sake (again communication wasn't pleasant). Turns out it was a mistake. Not blaming SP on my decision by a reminder that it's crucial to work with someone you can talk to. - Timing: the whole project took 2 months which I think is long. It was rainy season and crews didn't work on weekends (makes sense). However for the remaining days there were usually only 1 or 2 persons working until later in the project. Overall, it was not as pleasant experience as I expected. Final product was great and our family loves it! But the process to get there was so stressful. So if your project is straightforward, eg. just install pavers on a clean/flat surface or you don't anticipate making changes once the construction started then I would recommend SP. However if it involves landscaping, fencing, irrigation, plumbing, etc. you might be better off with a more rounded company or be prepared to step up and manage all of this yourself. Or if there are elements that you are unsure at the start or have changes later on, keep in mind they may come with big costs and difficult conversations. read more

We found this company at the Santa Clara convention home show and scheduled an appointment to discuss a large wood deck project. A sales rep came out and measured the proposed deck and scheduled a follow up appointment with a designer to present a plan and estimate In two weeks, He returned with another sales rep and they told us their company does not work with wood and cannot build us a pergola. They spent 2 hours trying to convince is to change our design to pavers and stonework. What a waste of time. read more

This company did a beautiful job with my driveway and backyard. Their employees were very efficient, do a clean job, and various members of the company were responsive in communication. I do feel the initial consultation/designer was a bit hasty and was eager to sell the product right away. He designed his own draft on the spot, adding pavers to areas around the house we did not initially have in mind. As a result, I was not able to shop around for competitive bids, nor did I have sufficient time to contemplate alternative designs for the hardscape. 2 years later, we are still pleased with the quality of work and look of the pavers. Customer service is top notch. The only downside is the exorbitant price we paid for this job, compared to other estimates we got after the fact, which in part falls on us. The salesman did his job selling it. We still have sections of our backyard we need to complete, but will probably explore all possible promos and discounts before settling on the first figure they quote us next time around! read more

It's pretty high-pressure sales and there's like 1 million discounts to try to get you thinking you got a great deal. I have been on the fence about this review which is the reason for the delayed review. This company has stellar lead people which I would have given 5+ stars alone. What dragged this review down was the work crew's sullen attitude. I had contacted several yard design companies. One of which we hired but terminated the contract because company departmental interface took an unreasonable amount of time for questions and design modifications. Next we found this terrific person, Scott at Systems Pavers. It was shocking and impressive how completely different the methods between the previous company and System Pavers. Scott (the design consult) showed up with pen and graph paper in hand and completed our design within a half hour opposed to the other company taking a week. It was wonderful to have such a personable consultant work precisely with our ideas and budget. In contrast the other company thought our budget was a suggestion and was not hesitant to go 20-30K over our budget; almost like talking 2 different languages. So it was a no brainer when SP's showed up, gave us a quote & actually found a hole in their schedule to squeeze us in. Next stage was meeting such a nice, competent Project Manager, Cesar who headed the crew. All was well and the job was going smoothly until the last couple of weeks. The crew would miss appointments/deadlines etc. I don't quite understand what happened and the Project Manager, Cesar was apologetic and baffled as well. Little things that needed to be done was not getting done, there was some damage around the pool that was not fixed (& still not fixed.) It was a real headache especially since the leads were so great to deal with. Maybe I should of held off with pizzas and lemonade for lunches till the job was done. As soon as I have the final photos, I will update this review. Please note this review is only for the planning, budgeting, and initial paver layer (pre the sealing and light installation). I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. 1. Anthony is a world-class design professional and Adrien is an exceptional project manager and problem-solver. A) Anthony took the time to really understand what we needed and the problems we were trying to solve. He did not try to upsell us into things we didn't need or weren't looking for, but he did make excellent recommendations that improved our overall design and vision. He also came to our initial conversation having done his homework. In full disclosure, we were thinking about doing this project next year because of his thorough preparation we decided to put the work in motion right away. B) Despite very wet ground remaining from the days of storms (under the original terrible cement and pavers) and a day of rain, they kept the project to budget and are scheduled to deliver EARLY. Seriously, when does it ever happen with any construction projects? When we hit an unforeseen snag with drainage, Adrian proactively addressed the issue right away, and found us a solution that kept us in budget. C) A word on the crew. So professional, so fast, and strong beyond belief. I have never seen concrete and pavers, rolled in and out with such efficiency. The work is not complete yet and it is already looking amazing. It makes me feel like we should've done this five years ago- especially, given that the paving project solves both our water runoff problem and poor landscaping choices created by previous owners of the house . We recently re-roofed and the shingle delivery semi-truck placed their crane's outrigger on our paver walkway. The weight of the semi created a noticeable depression/trip hazard on the walkway. My first call was to Javier Rodriguez who was the foreman that oversaw our paver project back in 2022. Javier promptly returned my email and stopped by to inspect the damage and provided me with a quote for the repair. The repair was completed in a day, and you can't even tell a repair was even made--it looks just like the original installation. System Pavers helped us convert a narrow single car driveway into a space that can accommodate two cars parked in tandem. It was a pleasure to work with Nate Gildersleeve (Design Consultant), he understood what we were trying to do and created a design that worked out perfectly for us. Nate is easy to talk to and gives sound advice. Bailey Andes (Project Manger) was able to make the design a reality and work around some last minute complications. The installation crew did an awesome job! The workmanship quality is high, very high....no half-ass anything, its completely professional. I can say this was the best home improvement experience I've had....no drama, no chasing after contractors, and excellent end product. System Pavers even brings along their own portable bathroom, the crew doesn't have to come inside to use the bathroom so you don't even have to be home during the work. The work was completed faster than I expected. The bobcat jack hammered the concrete in one day, day two the excavation was done and the base layer was being applied. The pavers were 80% on day four. Day 6 everything was done and they left everything clean and tidy. I have no idea how they work so fast, I wish I was onsite to watch. One nit pick I have is their customer portal's e-mail system doesn't work right. Recommend calling or texting people directly. We're trying to figure out what to do with the backyard. If we decide to go with pavers, System Pavers will be at the top of our list of people to consider. If the quote is more than you expected, I implore you, don't give up on them. Ask if there's a slow period (fall/winter) where they can accommodate you or if there's a promotion on free demolition of the hardtop. I've seen other paver installations before and this is the best I've seen. Its the little things they do that will make the difference; the use of polymeric sand to minimize weeds from taking hold in the cracks, the positioning of different paver shapes to break long runs into shorter ones to make it more visually appealing, how the bricks are laid out for the retaining wall, etc. These guys even recut my existing flag stone pavers to fit the new transition space between the old existing pathway and the new driveway, I wasn't expecting that. I was impressed.....that's completeness, that's taking pride in one's work, that's craftsmanship! read more

Our team was Pamela (Design), Javier (Project Manager) and Javier (Lead of the crew?). Everything from beginning to end was 11/10. The initial consult that primarily included discussing our needs along with measurements was done with Pamela. Our backyard was a mess as it was unattended to for a couple years, and we really just wanted something minimal to maintain. She was wonderful to make suggestions and we generally were onboard to follow her lead. After the consultation, she quickly followed up with a quote and sent some sample designs. Once the contract was signed, the preview with Javier was scheduled pretty quickly. The walkthrough was pretty straightforward and we felt really informed and Javier expressed his support before, during and after the project. The crew themselves who worked on our project was amazing. They came early in the morning and we could see our backyard transform before our eyes. I believe it took 1.5 weeks (including weekend) from demolition to completion. It looked like incredibly hard work but they were professional and finished the work at blazing speed.
