We have walked by this place for a while. A fave brew pub was here years ago but has been gone a while. The building was empty for a while too. Pedro's has been here since sometime after the pandemic was over. We have a lot of Mexican kitchens as well as Taos style food but I inky know if one other Tex Mex eatery in Boulder and one we have not had a good experience. Pedro's was actually good. Neither of us drinks Tequika but we both got something we liked. My husband loves Amber beers and he was able to get one here. I am forced into iced tea in these situations and Pedro's made a nice one for me. Our server was so friendly helpful and efficient. We had decided we'd give them a try by testing out their nachos with grilled chicken and for the two of us made an ample meal at such an early hour. At seating we were brought a good sized bowl of warm corn tortilla chips and a red salsa a step beyond many others we have had. Not bland a d nit hot and very refreshing. The nachos were good too with ample chicken and guac included. And a smooth queso too. The booth seating was pleasant and comfortable and in such good condition and I was at a good height , and did not feel dwarfed as in some other booth seatings here in Boulder. The decor was nice and exemplified the Tex Mex theme. It was also nice that the customer base was not solely CU students as many in Boulder are. Families from all walks of life in Boulder as well as students filmed the tables. Many seemed like regulars and yes, of course some were students and some probably tourists as downtown on a Saturday would predict. I'm sure we will be back again. read more

This was a lucky find. We actually walked past it and ended up coming back. We had been out hiking that day and were really hungry. My wife had a craving for traditional chips and salsa and a good Mexican meal......that is exactly what we got! THe place is pretty unassuming Alan long the Pearl Street area, but the service was super friendly, and the dishes were exceptionally well made and tasty. It is hard to stand out in CO as a stand-out mexican joint (there are soo many!) but this place is worthy. If you are in boulder, this is a great place to stop. I ordered the veggie tacos. I checked with my server that they were vegetarian. She assured me that everything was vegetarian. When my order came out, the beans were in a small bowl filled with dark liquid so I couldn't see the ingredients, but proceeded to put them in my tacos. I discovered large chunks of meat in the beans after I unfortunately spooned the beans into my tacos. When I told the waitress that there was in fact meat in the beans she apologized and said that they recently changed that item on the menu and did not know. For people who don't eat meat and haven't in over 35 years this is a big deal because it creates stomach issues. It was a far bigger deal than the "my bad" scenario the waitress and restaurant took. The restaurant needs to take a greater responsibility for their employees ignorance and make sure everyone knows what they are serving their customers. I would not recommend this restaurant. Tiny portions, bland taste and just not worth it whatsoever. This place seems like a reasonable option for Pearl St, but don't let their menu of exaggerated pictures and moderate prices fool you. For example, my son's kid burrito was larger than my burrito supreme. The large margherita was watered down and deceptively small. We spent $100 on lunch and regretted doing so. We felt ripped off. We will never return and feel obligated to spread the word on how bad this restaurant is. read more

Great place to drop in at the Pearl Street Mall on the way to Bands on the Bricks! Wonderful seats on the patio, too. Gabriela, our server was quick, friendly, and gave great recommendations for dinner (taco plate with 3 differ tacos was awesome!) - and - since my son is here to go to school, she was also a great Ambassador for CU Boulder, chatting with him about prospective majors, things to do on campus, etc. We recommend this place, and if you are lucky enough to have Gabriela as your server, tip her well! read more

Server at podium was not a very nice person. Went in looking to get some lunch and was met with cold attitude multiple times.

Don't order the nachos. Don't go during the week in between lunch/dinner or you'll see a waitress running around trying to help too many tables than she can handle. We too experienced the unenthusiastic hostess that made us feel unwelcome. read more

Got the birria tacos plate, food was decent but portions were very small, tacos very small and the rice was in a container that you would expect to get your salsa in. We live less than a block away from Pearl street so we have been to not only every restaurant on Pearl but every single Mexican restaurant (our fav food) within walking distance - and this is absolutely our favorite place by a long shot. The service, the drinks, the food, plus they have the best happy hour deals on Pearl by FAR! Cannot reccomend this place enough! 10s across the board. Phone did not eat first but did get a pic of the chorizo queso!! We decided on dining at Pedros because of its location after walking and shopping on Pearl St while visiting Boulder. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by an unenthused a young lady who asked our party of 3 whether we would like to sit inside or outside. Initially, we said inside, but within literally 5 seconds, we changed our minds and requested to sit outside because it was a beautiful evening. The young lady seemed perturbed that we changed our minds and inconvenienced her. She lead us to the outside patio and placed the menus at the table at the base of the entrance and headed back inside the restaurant. Seconds later a young waiter followed, and I asked if we could sit on the interior corner since there was other empty tables and seating and he said sure. Things obviously didnt start off well. Fast forward to ordering, the food and the service, all were mediocre at best. The young man was very inexperienced, and it showed. Simply asking for some additional salsa was acknowledged but never brought. No follow ups, no refills...even on water. Perhaps I am used to CA standards on size, but the portions were underwhelming. Flavors were ok. The best item was the birria taco which was quite flavorful. The shrimp burrito was ok, other tacos kinda sucked. The location of this place was great, the value was fine, but they have to make changes and do them quickly to survive amongst other Mexican Restaurants nearby. read more

Just had drinks and chips, which were really good. The waiter was very friendly and efficient. The place is nicely remodeled but a little formal. The patio had no seating, completely empty. Most people love sitting watching Pearl Street. Also the music was Spanish rap and was annoyingly loud. I could not enjoy a meal with that. Good luck! read more

We had a great taco Tuesday meal at Pedro's! We got tired of waiting for a table at another place on Pearl, so started looking for somewhere else to go and walked past Pedro's, checked out the menu, and went in. Got seated at a great table, no wait, which was good because we were hungry! Got some warm chips and a yummy mildly spicy salsa brought to us right away! We ordered guacamole, which was flavorful and some queso that was tasty, though not my favorite. We got the three street tacos for $8.99 special. Good variety and good portion size. We all got different kinds and liked the Al pastor the best. It's a cute place and we are very glad we stopped in. read more

Went for lunch and will never return. First, the young lady serving as host should not be in a customer service role. She did not greet me but just looked at me when I arrived. I said hello and asked for a table for one, and she silently led me to a table, placed the menu down with her back to me, and kept walking. I was taken aback by the rudeness. Fortunately, the server and other staff were much kinder and attentive. The food, though, was subpar. Rice was too salty and the shrimp was rubbery. Went just for margaritas and chips, salsa, pinto bean dip, and guacamole. It was just what we all wanted! None of us got an main course so cannot speak to that. But the chips were great, salsa nice and chunky and mild. The pinto bean dip was my favorite! Service was quick and friendly! Probably will be back to try the food. We had very attentive service, with multiple delightful people checking in with us while we enjoyed our delicious meal. We started with their complimentary chips and delicious homemade salsa and ordered a side of quest- piping hot and delicious. We had a burrito and chicken flautas for our entrees- portions were great size and not overwhelming and all the flavors were really tasty. Ordered food and waited over a hour and forty five minutes before deciding to leave. We asked for the bill and they charged us for two drinks we ordered but never received. I take my cousin whenever she in town, and my and my roommates parents loved it for parents weekend. Service is very quick, and the workers are very kind.
