    Pork banh mi

Support your local businesses!! Cause this place is DUMMY GOOD! Love love love that we have a Vietnamese restaurant in Bellflower, their food is so FRESH & healthy options available! $11 for a huge pork banh mi is hard to beat. The banh mi is packed with meat & fresh veggies. You literally see the owners in the back making the food, it doesn't get any more homemade than that

Located in a busy corner shopping plaza, I was so glad I came to this unassuming restaurant for Vietnamese food. I was bringing takeout to a friend's house so I ordered the noodle plates of pork and chicken along with an appetizer of fried egg rolls. While waiting, the owner gave me his signature boba drink on the house-it was refreshing and delicious, filled with jellies, chia seeds and grass jelly, definitely something I've had before when traveling in Vietnam. The noodle plates were huge, liked the fish sauce as it was not too sweet and the grilled pork were made well. My friends also really liked it too! Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Dropped by and tried the steam shrimp spring roll and the pastrami viet sandwich! The shrimp spring roll I recommend. It's a very simple one. The shrimp was fresh and tasty. I recommend the peanut sauce not the t'an sauce for the rolls. I really enjoyed the pastrami sandwich with the viet toppings and sauces. The bread was crispy and fresh tasting! I'm glad this is in the area as it's lacking viet sandwiches and they doing a good job doing a hybrid American-viet palate. Cannot wait to try their pizza and wings!!

First time here and it was so good! Staff was so nice and welcoming for being my first time. Tried the steamed shrimp spring rolls and the grilled chicken Banh Mi sandwich so delicious! Tasted so fresh and flavorful. Also got a Thai tea and it was so good plus they had crushed ice(plus) Will definitely recommend and come back couldn't wait to take a pic before taking bite of sandwich lol.

Their house special drink - so good!

Tried this unassuming Vietnamese/pizza place the other day and was really impressed. The Spam banh mi and pork vermicelli noodle was delicious! Definitely better than Lee's in terms of quality. Also make sure to order the House artichoke drink, so good! Will definitely stop by here more often when I'm in the mood for some quick Vietnamese to-gos.

Three spring rolls for $12 is a good deal! Enjoyed a refreshing chia seed Boba, as I waited. I want to try the Asian pastrami next!

Pork Banh Mi and Vietnamese Iced Coffee

My husband got us the grill pork banh mi, pork spring rolls with spicy fish sauce and Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything is freshly made to order so he had to wait 20 minutes, but it was worth the wait. So good the bread was freshly baked and still warm when we ate it at home. They recommended the peanut sauce but unfortunately Im allergic so I couldn't try it, but the fish sauce was just as good with the spring rolls. Will definitely come back when craving a banh mi.

The place was very clean. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, even after taking it to go. Service was good, friendly, efficient, and quick. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, a great takeout experience and I would definitely order from here again.

Right when you walk in you can smell how good the food is going to be. Welcomed in with such gentle smiles from the staff I told them it was my first time and they gave me a free drink too! I ordered their chicken bahn mi (been obsessed lately). I will be coming back to try their specialty pizza and wings to bring back to my grandparents. Thank you!!

Great service and great food. The lady at the register gave me her suggestions for food to try and went with the Vietnamese pastrami banh mi to try something different. The food was great and she also said since its my 1st time sellers would give me a free Thai tea. Def suggest going here and the rating is legit 5/5

First time here. And it was great. I'll be coming back often. I usually go out of my way towards Westminster / Little Saigon area and let me tell you this place in bellflower is just as good. Food was 10/10 and so was the Thai Tea. Very friendly staff too, that's always important.

It's the same Vietnamese coffee we all know and love, topped with a cookie butter cold foam and a light dusting of lotus cookie crumbs. My only wish? More crumbs! The coffee itself doesn't seem to have any added flavoring beyond the classic Vietnamese brew, so that first sip tastes nearly identical to the original. To really get the cookie butter experience, you'll want to stir that foam in well, once you do, it does add a nice flavor boost. Still, nothing that'll blow your mind. That said, I'd absolutely order it again, because let's be honest, Vietnamese coffee is a win no matter what. As for the location, it's decent. The tables could use some attention, and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell, though to be fair, there's a noticeable homeless population in the area outside, which may have been a factor. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered a regular size cookie crumble coffee for $6.99 and had it in hand within five minutes. Can't complain about that!

That was a good start. I ordered an OG Rice and Egg Roll combo. I chose sweet sausage and spicy sauce option for the OG Rice, which is supposed to have scrambled eggs, sausage, and mixed veggies in the fried rice. What I was given was a half pound of fried rice drenched in sriracha with a few peas and paper thin slices of penny sized sausage circle rounds. This was ridiculous. I took a few bites, dug around looking for the eggs, the veggies, and some actual pieces of sausage..and just tossed it. What a shame. How cheap can you be? seriously. This is such a disappointment and just shameful. I paid $17 for my meal and I was given a mound of rice and sriracha? Wow. The egg rolls were alright. small but crunchy shell, and the pork inside was decent. But it did not make up for the fried rice. The owner has been extremely sweet and reached out to me, so I will be happy to give Pho King another try!

I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.
