Located in a busy corner shopping plaza, I was so glad I came to this unassuming restaurant for Vietnamese food. I was bringing takeout to a friend's house so I ordered the noodle plates of pork and chicken along with an appetizer of fried egg rolls. While waiting, the owner gave me his signature boba drink on the house-it was refreshing and delicious, filled with jellies, chia seeds and grass jelly, definitely something I've had before when traveling in Vietnam. Dropped by and tried the steam shrimp spring roll and the pastrami viet sandwich! The shrimp spring roll I recommend. It's a very simple one. The shrimp was fresh and tasty. I recommend the peanut sauce not the t'an sauce for the rolls. I really enjoyed the pastrami sandwich with the viet toppings and sauces. The bread was crispy and fresh tasting! My husband got us the grill pork banh mi, pork spring rolls with spicy fish sauce and Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything is freshly made to order so he had to wait 20 minutes, but it was worth the wait. So good the bread was freshly baked and still warm when we ate it at home. They recommended the peanut sauce but unfortunately Im allergic so I couldn't try it, but the fish sauce was just as good with the spring rolls. I stopped by T'an Cafe today to check out this new spot near my home and I'm SO glad I did! I ordered two of their bánh mì sandwiches -- the grilled pork and the spam & eggs -- and both were absolutely delicious. Packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly toasted bread. I also tried the steamed shrimp spring rolls, and they were super fresh and light, with a tasty dipping sauce on the side. Everything was not only tasty but very affordable, which makes this place an easy go-to. I noticed they also sell pizza, which I didn't try this time, but the pictures they display on their TV looked amazing -- definitely something I'll be back for. Customer service was friendly and welcoming, and it feels good supporting a small business that clearly puts effort into quality and presentation. Ordered food for my son's party and it came out great. The owner was very helpful. I called when the restaurant was still closed, but to my surprise the owner called me back. I let them know that I wanted the sandwiches cut it half. We ordered the pork and chicken bahn mi. Soo soo good. The bread is soft and the sandwich is filled to the top. We also ordered grilled pork spring rolls, also so good with the peanut sauce. The owner also gave us some free drinks which I'm so grateful for, we got vietnamese coffee, thai tea and also this drink with chia seeds and jelly. I travel around LA and OC a lot for work and love banh mi so I get to try a lot of places, T'an is no joke one of, if not the best I've tried. $9 for the pork banh mi. It took a little while to come out (they grilled the pork fresh I think) and when it did I thought it looked a little on the smaller side, but damn the taste was phenomenal. It was loaded with tons of meat and the sauce they used on it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend it to anyone who likes banh mi! read more

Food and service was awesome! We didn't try the pizza but going to try it next time. We did have pork and chicken noddle plate with Spicy fish sauce, 5 wings same way and pastrami sandwich. This is coming from someone who's worked food service. They weren't even busy fam. They had like 2-3 dine-in customers that already had their sandwiches and like 2 online orders. Also, some of the tables were dirty. Had to clean ours with a napkin. Ambiance: 6/10 The interior design was pretty nice. It did feel quite empty inside. The arrangement of the tables is pretty sporadic. They could definitely convert the tables into booths with all the space they got, but it seems like they don't get a lot of foot traffic. Parking lot was quite small, but my friends and I had no issues finding a spot. TDLR: Sandwiches aren't worth the price. If you don't care about prices, have at it. I wouldn't come back here purely because our sandwiches took 30+ minutes to come out as dine-in customers. Parking lot is small but found no problem finding a spot.

It had a good bark on it and didn't feel dry at all. The bowl was filling and everything worked well together. The baked beans were a solid side, slightly sweet and hearty, and paired nicely with the brisket. The Sunkist was cold and refreshing and balanced out the meal. The spot itself is casual and easygoing, and the staff was friendly. Food came out hot and fresh without a long wait. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving a good brisket fix. Highly recommend.
