I recently rejoined after ducking out just before COVID became a major problem in 2020. I do…read moreappreciate the gym and generally get a good workout. I joined for the classes, but there are some inconsistencies with the quality there. Pros: -Amar's Zumba class on Saturdays. Her routines are high energy, and her song selection is perfect, so you get a good workout. She's excellent, so it's understandable why the class is always packed! -Annette's Tuesday evening Body Works Plus Abs. She is very intense with the repeating intervals with no breaks in between, but you leave feeling accomplished! Cons: -Some of the classes are slow, and you feel as though you did nothing afterwards. I overheard other members with the same sentiment. For example, the Monday/Wednesday evening Zumba is too low energy. I felt like I hadn't done anything. Same with the Friday morning Zumba instructor. Cycle instructor on Monday is not intense enough, and they play the same 5 songs over and over (some of which are pretty lame). -Annette is leaving, so that Tuesday evening class will have major shoes to fill. The only thing I want to change about that class is the music- it's cheesy remixes that are not inspiring at all! - This past Thursday, I waited 20 minutes after start time with 5 other people for the Body Works instructor to show up. She never did. I remember her from when I used to come in pre-COVID. She is a good instructor who is not too intense, but she often showed up late. A 20 min. wait is ridiculous, though. The gym should have better communication with the instructors. "No one called in" is not good enough- call them! -Also, I echo what others have said about Victor. He is pushy as hell. I told him multiple times I wasn't interested in signing anyone up for a guest pass. He continued. The fool should just be glad I'M signing up for a membership! Overall, the gym is fine, I just wish there was a better selection for classes. I just want to get what I pay for. I typically come in at least 3 times a week.

It…read morelooks like a nice facility but once you get in you see that management has zero interest in maintaining equipment and their employees are equally disinterested in helping the people that pay their checks. Tonight I went in and went to use a calf machine, and there was no pen to load the weights on it, I went to the front desk and the young man there said oh yeah we know about that you gotta talk to the manager tomorrow or maintenance and I said, "don't you want to write a note down about the machine number? He goes "huh...". So I went over to the sales guy that was still there and asked him if he could do anything about it and he said "I don't care. I'm just a sales guy." He went on to say "If you want to get anything done, you need to take time off and come back to the gym between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to talk to the manager. He would even take note. This is terrible Customer Service. Terrible maintenance, and it makes me completely regret that I signed up with these guys just over a month ago. I'm now on the hunt to find something much better than this. Unless there is a serious change in their attitude about equipment maintenance, I discourage anyone from signing up here.

I moved away to Round Rock area and came back almost 2 years later and the same friendly staff are present and ready to great me. All of which I made the trainer aware of prior to signing the contract. After just two sessions of the trainer not respecting my physical limitations, my back locked up and sent me to the emergency room. This episode continued into three weeks of excruciating pain and limited mobility. The emergency room trip took place in December, I have not been back to the gym since. Upon reviewing my contract, I saw there is a "Cancellation Policy No Fee" clause stating, "if by reason of death or permanent disability, the customer is unable to continue the Agreement, Buyer or Buyer's estate shall be relieved from the obligations of the contract, and if buyer has prepaid any sum, the unused portion shall be promptly refunded. Legitimate doctor's office note and verification of permanent disability/permanent inability to participate in the activities or death of customer is required." I have provided official letters from my VA primary care physician, VA chiropractor, as well as my VA verification letter of my permanent and total 100% disability status for review of medical termination. The elevate fitness contact "Jon Nelson" has rejected all documents as insufficient, claiming to need further specification of physical restrictions and duration of restrictions -- other than the permanent 100% disability and restriction from anything heavier than five lbs or any activity that worsens my chronic conditions...? I have asked to speak to someone above him, as well as attempting to put in my official 30 day cancellation request -- both with no response. At this point, I could not in good faith recommend the personal training services here to anyone under any circumstances. There is a clear lack of care or concern for the actual health and long term wellbeing of their clients. Their only notable concern is profit with no regard to conducting ethical business.

They have some very professional obstacles. The people running it did a great job working with the kids, showing them how to complete each obstacle, as well as the adults who participated. It wasn't really my thing, but everyone who participated seemed to have a blast. They have some event rooms where we had cake and pizza for the birthday party. For you adults, there's also a brewery across the parking lot. (hint hint- drop the kids off, go have a beer!)

Fast forward to now, where there is a Ninja Warrior gym I'm the area where all the has been and wanna he's can go and learn, and practice, and grow. The head coach has been on the actual show more than 10 times and I'm proud to call him and his amazing partner friends, and he has built a business around something he is passionate about. He's been a gymnastics coach since we've been young and so he's someone who loves it, not just says it, not just does it. I've seen 2 competitions here so far, multiple birthday parties, and have seen the customer experiences take place first hand. It's incredible how people feel about how well it's organized, how much care goes into everything, and mom's and dad's can trust their kids to improve, spend energy, and in a safe environment that has that cool #spiderman flare to it. There is sufficient parking, occasional good trucks, it's located right off I35, and neighboring a brewery... What more can most people ask than to have a beer and good food in the hot Texas sun while their kids run around and play next door with other kids who aren't even missing their phones or their video games! #ianofaustin approved, excellent local business for fitness activities for children and adults

They really stress the "having fun" part of it and don't tolerate bickering and uber-competitiveness. The karaoke leagues started out as just a singing competition but they have quickly evolved into mini theatrical productions. You get to go out there, make new friends, and do things that you've always loved doing! People in karaoke really enjoy singing, dancing, and even dressing up! We all root for each other and it's a very supportive environment, you don't have to be a great singer to have fun. Whether it's RC Fowlers or Common Interest, they're both super fun places to sing. In Common Interest, we all have this big room just for the clan and we are grouped up in 3. It makes really fun to be teamed up and there are different themes every week. Volleyball at Hanovers on Friday and Saturday can't get any better, you get to enjoy drinks, chill back, and play some sand volleyball all in one place! Another cool part in all of these activities is that you don't even have to have a full team, you can just signup by yourself and you'll be placed with new people. That's pretty awesome if you're new in town or just want to make more friends! This is a must-join clan, you get to socialize with new people while also having fun playing volleyball, karaoking, bowling, and so many other activities.
