T&C shirts. these bring back memories.. it was all the rave back in the days.. perhaps xx-yrs ago? sorry it is so long ago.... omg! like middle school i thought the service was really over the top. the kids here were so courteous i was really surprise. i was looking for the old school gorilla designs. the guy there said they cant sell those since they dont own the design and even recommended where to find them. no biggie, found a couple i like. essentially, this was shopping therapy for the hawaiian airline debacle. had to stay a couple extra days and shopping always gives me instant euphoria... spending money on stuff mindlessly.. its always fun until the monthly credit card bill comes... hey, buy 1 get 1 50% off. so 2 shirts for ~$40

I came here to get a new Hydro Flask. There weren't too many left. They had a lot of the ones with the T&C Designs on it, but I just wanted a plain one. It turns out that they were running a special on the plain flasks. It came with a free skin. That would explain the depleted inventory. I always buy the skin to protect the bottle, so I was super happy to get a free skin. The skins were also limited. They only had green, pink, purple and gray left. An associate came by and asked if I needed any help. I asked about the promotion and he told me about the skins that would fit my bottle. I wanted a black skin, but he said that they were out. He told me that they had four colors left, right behind the register and that I could take a look. I appreciated that, so that I didn't have to waste my time looking for a black one that they didn't have. Check out was fast and easy. They rang my bottle and free skin. They had me sign the back of the receipt acknowledging that the bottle was in perfect condition. I was on my way after that.

Long line of customers waiting to get in!

T&C is a popular store on the second floor of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It is locally owned which makes me happy to patronize it! Besides their unique t-shirts, they have all sorts of merchandise! My daughters especially like their T&C designed Yeti Thermos! The designs are so pretty with flowers and yet local ones with spam musubi and honus (turtles) ! Whenever they come home for the holidays, they buy new ones even though their old ones (last years) are still good! Also, they're reasonably priced. Support local if you want Yeti and get it beautifully decorated! Shout out to Amysthe who is Awesome! She has excellent Customer Service because she knows how to make a customer happy! Mahalo, Amysthe!

Things are still shut down, but Koa board Sports will let you do in-store shopping. All you have to do is call the number, and within a few minutes they will open the shop for you. I needed to buy a new fin for my longboard, and they have an excellent assortment of used fins at reasonable prices. Picked up a used 10 inch fin for $40 and it was just what I needed for my 9' 9" longboard! They also have a good selection of newer fins from different manufacturers, but the used fin was exactly what I wanted, so no need buy new. I came by another time and picked up a leash, and another time they opened up so that I could look through their rash guards. So yes, a little humbug to have to call the number and wait a couple of minutes for them to come down and open the shop, but they are still making themselves available to their customers. Parking is easy, just park right in front of the shop. You won't find a better selection in the Waikiki area.

Middle of the day on a Thursday. So I called, made an appointment for Saturday afternoon. No dice. I came back on Monday....no answer to the phone. Left message. No call back. Called again Tuesday, "I can't talk now, I'll call you back".....no return call. I tried again Thursday late morning, no answer. Thought I would walk over just for the heck of it, sometimes when you roll the dice you win. I got there and the proprietor was letting in another lady and her daughter into the store. I told them I had tried calling, scheduling, and was having a really hard time getting in to BUY things. She told me I could not come in...."Appointment Only". Are you kidding me? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! - They have a great selection, but did not want to sell any of it ; )

Both times were busy with at least ten of us packed in the small store. I saw mostly Japanese tourists during the first time there and mistakenly assumed this store primarily appealed to the Japanese clientele, but the second time I'd visited had Haole and local customers besides Japanese, which proved me wrong. Snoopy is universal, for sure. I did notice that an employee who spoke fluent Japanese was present during both times I had visited. I visited the store twice because there were too many customers blocking my view of the area of the store that had their tees during the first time that I had went and I just couldn't take a good look at the assortment on my limited time there. I took a couple photos of all of their tees and later looked at them on my phone to decide which one to look for during my second visit. Besides short sleeve tees, they mostly had tote bags. Other than those items, the remainder consisted of one style of slippers, minimal selection of long sleeve tops, and then some accessories such as keychains, stickers, magnets, pens, pancake mix and some stuffed Snoopy's. It's not going to be a wide assortment beyond that. I've been to the Snoopy store in Yokohama, Japan, a few months back and although I admit that comparing the two stores is like night and day in terms of size and selection, and not at all a fair comparison - however, primarily because I happened to go there first, I was ultimately underwhelmed at this store as it was significantly tiny, cramped and not too many items to choose from. Had I not gone to the Snoopy store in Japan, first, then I'm sure this Snoopy's Surf Shop in HI would have elicited more excitement. The only other Snoopy store besides this that I'd been to for stores located in the U.S. is the Snoopy's Galleria & Gift Shop in Santa Rosa, CA, next to the Charles M. Schulz Museum, back in 2016 (definitely worth checking out if you are a lover of Snoopy and Peanuts). It'd be awesome if the Campbell Ave location could move to a bigger location nearby in Honolulu, eventually, and carry more items - though I can understand that at the same time, maybe they just want to keep things small and limited. I haven't been to their Hale'iwa location on Kam Hwy, but from photos, the location there appears a bit more spacious than the Campbell Ave one. The employees during both times that I had stopped by were nice and helpful and answered the questions that I had. I purchased a couple of tees during my two times there. They were about $29-$35 each, so not on the cheap end, but I can see and feel that they are good quality, in terms of the cotton used. I originally purchased my first tee from their online store, earlier this year and wear it quite often and that one washes well. Their online selection of tees is completely different than what you can find in their retail stores and even more limited of a selection - they definitely have a much better selection at their retail stores. Although this store doesn't have a large assortment of items, I was still happy to go out of my way to check the place out and I'd 100% recommend it to any Snoopy and Peanuts fans out there during your time in HI.

This one is located near Waikiki and has some unique designs for this area of Oahu. However, the only reason I am giving them four stars is because after visiting the one in Haleiwa, there's a huge difference in size, service and designs. Since this one is closer to the largest tourist area I really thought it would be bigger and have even more amazing designs, however it was so small and with the amount of people shopping at the store it was a little hard to shop around. I had already seen many of the items they had in store at the other location so I didn't spend too much time there. It's definitely worth checking out if you love Snoopy!
