When a friend recommended this place to me, I thought it's just another dessert place. It turns out...I was wrong. I got the Portuguese egg tart flavor egg waffle and oolong lemon tea. The egg waffle was just plain awesome . Compare to the same egg waffle that I got from another dessert place, the one here was crispy on the outside. The inside you can actually taste the caramelized portion of the egg tart, plus the egg waffle is not overly sweet. If there's anything that I would critique on, that would be to have more of the filling inside the egg waffle since it was half filled. The oolong lemon tea was great. It tasted like something I had in HK before. And I agree with the recommendation, it's best to drink it within 30 min. As far as service goes, it was awesome. The young male staff was very polite. We saw this spot on a reel showcasing their pineapple bun bubble waffles and had to check it out! The line was right at the door and the inside was pretty packed. The shop is small, so it's mostly an order-and-go situation. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for our order -- understandable since they only have two machines and each waffle has to be carefully "painted" with the pineapple bun crust. - Pineapple Bun (Bolobao) Bubble Waffle -- undeniably cute, like mini pineapple buns; loved the crust flavor, but the waffle itself was unfortunately on the dry side - Iced HK Milk Tea -- cool and refreshing; not as strong or silky as the Richmond food court versions, but still satisfying on a summer day Service was kind and respectful despite the long wait. Ambience is bustling with a cute, playful interior. They definitely need more waffle machines! This is the place that has the pineapple bun bubble waffle! This is my second time to come here. When the first time visit, the line up was crazy busy and we waited for the pineapple bun bbw for 1 hr. I guess now the rush is over but because they make their bbw when you order, expect to wait 10 mins. I ordered the Portuguese egg tart bbw and it tastes like you are eating many mini Portuguese egg tart!! They are so delicious and not so sweet. For drink, I have the red bean smoothie with milk. It is not so sweet therefore, no need to adjust sugar level. They have a limited time flavor now which is the black sesame x dry pork floss x salted egg York bbw. Omg i need to go back soon to try it before it is over ! Overall the store is clean and staff are friendly. It is a good stop to have a quick snack. read more

Great food and service. I walked it he door just at 11pm. Didn't realize that it was closing time. The person at the counter greeted me with a smile and happily took my orders: 3 bubble waffles, milk tea, 2 mochi's and the black sesame paste. I only realized that it was closing time because I took a photo of their office hours to update it in Yelp. My kids, nieces and nephews were ecstatic when I walked in the door to show them what I brought home. This is a great place for dessert and to hang out with family and friends. If you're a big group, you may consider doing take-out and enjoy your snacks and drinks some place else, to avoid the crowd. read more

Ok, we got here at 8 and they didn't have the famous pineapple bun egg waffle. Maybe this is good cuz then I can give a more fair review. I would say it's just OK. The egg waffles were nothing special. I would say that these aren't as good as at the egg waffle place in Crystal Mall. I also got almond soup with egg white. The egg white is pretty good, and the almond is ok but tasted a bit just out of a can. The part I really don't like though is that even for people who eat there they serve in plastic bowls. Serving boiling hot liquids in plastic is just a really bad idea as it leaks hella lots of microplastics. Other HK dessert places serve using real bowls. I'm usually not a bubble waffle fan because of the sweetness, but I wanted to check out the hype on the pineapple bun bubble waffle as I grew up with pineapple buns. I showed up on the grand opening day and the Pineapple bun waffle was sold out around 2pm. I went back again the next day to try my luck. I got here right after they opened around 12 noon, and already 10+ ppl lining up. However, the lineup went through quickly, and I got inside within 10 minutes. The dessert place is spacious and clean, had three tables and chairs for dine in customers. There were only one bubble waffle maker, hence the long wait. I ordered the pineapple bubble waffle, Oreo bubble waffle, lemon tea and HK milk tea. I was informed that it takes at least one hour to get the pineapple bubble waffles because of the backlog order on it. However, I was informed that it was ready for pick up after 30 minutes. So don't get turned away by the long wait, it could be shorter. The pineapple bubble waffle did not disappoint, it was crunchy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. The flavor is just how the pineapple bun tastes like, but smaller. The Oreo bubble waffle was pretty good and came out a lot faster. Lemon tea was pretty standard, and the HK milk tea was okay. I'm a little lactose but normally I'm okay when regular milk tea. However, this milk tea gave my stomachs a really bad cramp after. Not sure if it's the milk they use or it's the tea that's too strong. If you are not lactose, you might enjoy it more than me. I will come back when the hype is die down a bit, as the long lineup was too much. I'd be interested to try their other dessert items. read more

We went here just to try the bo-law eggettes and it was done really well. The manager or owner of the place checked the quality of the product and had the employee make a new one just so that it looked and would taste good. I can't guarantee that will be the case all the time but I sure hope this quality control continues. For the price, I wouldn't buy again but glad I tried it. Average, nothing too special but also wasn't bad. The cashier, however, was nice. She told us the available options. Since there wasn't anyone in line, she had time to talk. We came after having lunch, tried a drink, durian mochi, and a bubble waffle. The new hit thing is putting a 'pineapple crust' on top of the waffle, but it was just alright. Perhaps I had higher hopes seeing so many people rave on social media about this crust on a bubble waffle. New HK (Cantonese) dessert place in Blundell Centre. This place is just to the R of the Freshco entrance. (N side of strip mall) Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. Interior is pretty bare bones. There is a casual seating area on one side, and a few small tables on the other. Staff are friendly. The drinks are mostly of the syrup variety. Unfortunately there wasn't much real fruit (possibly none). Knock 1 star off. The honey grapefruit ginger tea I had was made from some sort of marmalade. My buddy ordered the ginger juice milk special but they couldn't make it. Apparently the main chef who normally makes it was out, and the other staff were unable to make it properly despite several tries. Maybe 30 minutes after our order, the waitress came and apologized, and gave us a free mango mochi to share. To be fair, the place is new, so they're probably still working out the kinks. The mango mochi was pretty tasty. Nice and gooey. Maybe I'll be back in the future. read more

Came here after dinner one night to try their pineapple bun egg waffle but they sold out :( Tried their portuguese tart egg waffle instead. Crispy egg waffle with warm egg custard, so delicious! We also tried the trending "duck poop" oolong lime iced tea; it had strong flavors but you couldn't adjust sweet/ice levels so I'd really have to try it at a diff place to see if I like the drink. I came back around 3pm the next afternoon and got to try their pineapple bun egg waffle. Not that worth the hype and the custard egg waffle was way better. Overall, a decent spot for egg waffles and I'd come back to try their other flavors next time I'm in town! read more

We came here to try out the pineapple bun bubble waffle during their opening. It was a long wait and we were in a bit of a rush so we only went for the special. It was fascinating watching them individually put the little bolo hats on each bubble. I don't know what I expected but it made sense why it patience was needed and completely justified the price given how much work it took. Staff were really friendly given how stressed I'm sure they were and they were great in maintaining the quality throughout. When it came to the actual bubble waffle it tasted like a bunch of mini bolo baos - sweet crumbly tops, crisp out bubbles with soft chewy insides. The tricky thing about eating these on the go were not letting the tops fall off when you peeled them apart. Would I go back for this again? Maybe! Although I would return to try some of their other unique flavours - portuguese egg tart, dry pork floss, salted egg yolk!
