Herb Grilled Branzino and Roast Free-Range Chicken

T Bar was great! The service was prompt and friendly, the ambiance was chill, but vibrant, and the food was delicious! The branzino was seasoned really well and my husband said his chicken was too. The burrata was creamy and tasty as well. We definitely plan to return!

Apparently, we were on a hunt for the best steak in the city and I think we accomplished it. T Bar was just a short walk from our hotel and looked rather swanky so we decided to give it a go for our last meal on the city. We ordered a strip, fries and green beans to share. The steak was brilliantly cooked and the sides accompanied the steak perfectly. Overall, it was a great way to end our NYC adventure!

Ambiance (5/5): The inside is a split level and opens into the back mezzanine and also has an upstairs. The decorations are ornate. It was a bit dark but cozy and not too loud that you can hear each other. Service (5/5): The service is wonderful; coat checks in the front. Kind and attentive staff. Timing of dishes were great. Water glasses were refilled often. Took a little time getting the bill paid but overall, great service. Food (4/5): We came here for restaurant week ($60 3-course meal) and asked to order everything as family style. By doing so, the staff was kind enough to provide us each plates and we helped ourselves when the dishes came. Table bread: They were soft and filled with olives but was super olive-forward Crispy Sushi (5/5): This was my favorite of the 3 appetizers. The spicy tuna was nicely seasoned and texture of the crispy rice was a unique bite. Tartare (4/5): The tuna was very fresh and lightly seasoned with soy and sesame. My only qualm was that it came with 2 pieces of bread. Angel Wings (4/5): This was such a unique presentation to your typical wings. The meat was tender but I felt that the tamarind glaze a bit too forward. Nevertheless, still good. Filet Mignon (+$25) (4/5): It was cooked perfectly to our requested medium-rare. They also kindly provided each of the 3 sauces (béarnaise being my favorite). I had wished that they seasoned the filet some more as it was pretty bland without the sauces. The mashed potatoes were smooth and had a slight butter taste. Chicken Milanese (4/5): While the exterior breading was done to a perfect crunch, the breading lacked flavor besides the butter it was fried in. Perhaps, the salad atop the chicken could have been dressed with something to balance out the tastes. Burger (4/5): The burger was beautifully seasoned and cooked to a medium as requested. The fries were cooked well done also as requested! The crunch was lovely but it lacked some flavor. The pickle was hardly pickled and more like a cucumber with some salt. The added cheese gave the burger a more savory finish. Banana Parfait (5/5): This was the star amongst the desserts (and probably of all the dishes!) Caramelized bananas are atop a bed of vanilla ice cream and caramel crust. The warmed bite was a welcomed balance to all the flavors. Strawberry Sundae (4/5): This was not overly sweet and the strawberry ice cream and flavors came through. The soft cream and cake was lovely. Molten Chocolate Cake (3/5): The cake was almost too bitter and not very sweet but was very rich. Perhaps the lack of flour compromised the texture.

We came here for a holiday meal and we had a lovely dinner at the T Bar. There are two floors at the restaurant which is an upgrade from their old location which was just one floor. It was a lively evening as there were many other families at the spot and the bar on the first floor was full. They have a good selection of appetizers. We got the pizza flatbread which we were able to choose between zucchini and margarita (we got a pizza with half and half). We also got a chicken soup and octopus as appetizers. The chicken soup my sister commented was delightful and the octopus was nice and tender. There also was olive bread and olive oil instead of normal bread and butter which we enjoyed with our appetizers before our entrees. For entrees, we all got a seafood dish. Even though T Bar is known to be a steakhouse, the fish we got was very good. We got two black sesame crusted tunas, branzino, and Chilean sea bass. I really enjoyed the Chilean sea bass and the branzino as they were warm and hearty dishes. The meaty branzino came with endives and capers and was very flavorful. The Chilean sea bass was laid on top of a bed of nicely cooked and seasoned bok choy. The tuna came on top of a bed of seaweed and was garnished with ginger. We also got three side dishes which were creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The creamed spinach and Mac and cheese were my favorite as they were both very rich. The mashed potatoes were also very good and creamy. Desserts were heavenly! (And I'm not usually a dessert girly) We got the banana parfait millefeuille with coconut and caramel sauce, a strawberry sundae shortcake with meringue, brandy and cream and a warm apple crisp that came with caramel drizzle and vanilla ice cream. The banana parfait was sooo amazing. The mille-feuille was delicious and crispy with nutty coconut flavors. There was vanilla ice cream in between the layers of crisp coconut cookie. And the caramelized bananas were delightful. The strawberry short cake was super moist and came with delicious strawberry ice cream and wonderfully sweet strawberries. There was also a crispy crunchy element with the meringue and there was also a big dollop of yummy whipped cream on top. The apple crisp was nice and warm but I would definitely rank the banana parfait and strawberry shortcake above the apple crisp. Overall we had a delicious meal with delightful desserts and the vibes were amazing for the evening. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food came out all at reasonable times.

Great spot for happy hour They have good deals on excellent drinks and food. The espresso martini is excellent. Tommy's Margarita is AMAZING! Tastes like the drink you would be having in your dreams at a beach side bar somewhere in the Caribbean. Whoever Tommy is, thank you very much for your Margarita recipe. The service here is excellent and the food is fabulous. Amazing atmosphere. A perfect date spot. Highly recommended.

Ah, T Bar, your old location was my favorite place to go with friends. We could always count on running into more friends, since pretty much everyone lived i the neighborhood, including my parents. I was crushed when you closed, and then thrilled to hear about your new location on 60th Street. Lisa and I met there, and obtained seats at the bar after a short wait for a second chair. The bartender who served us, a lovely young woman, was an absolute rock star. Wow. I had the Mezcal Mule to start. I usually just had a martini or V &T at the "old" T Bar, but the craft cocktails were SO tempting! Lisa had wine. We later shared the tuna tartare appetizer, which is TDF. SO yummy. And beautifully presented. We stayed for a while and imbibed a bit more. We didn't see anyone we knew, but the vibe is reminiscent of the old T Bar. Men in khakis and blazers, women in black leather pants. It's an elegant space. The bar has quite an impressive selection of tequila. I could easily try everything on the cocktail menu! There's seating in the bar area, and another dining area in the back. It's not open, like the old one. You go up a short flight. Very fun evening, and I look forward to returning.

Last night some friends and I ended up here for dinner. My friends had the sushi and fish.. I had watermelon/feta salad, which let me tell you was delicious! I had as a main chicken Milanese. It was a big portion! Took half home for left overs. I had a Moscow mule and it was a bit on the strong side and I have never seen it come in a tall glass. Usually they come in copper mugs. The atmosphere of this restaurant was nice. The only downside is that there are only two restrooms one upstairs and one on the main floor.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.
