Jon is an expert who you can trust to give you the best advice as well as fair advice. I recently asked him to replace a diamond on my wedding band, and he told me all he needed to do was rotate the diamond. He could have easily told me it needed replacement, which would have cost me way more, and I would have had no idea. He is honest and dang good at his job.

I began researching jewelers in the area to resize my engagement ring and found TDC on Yelp. When I called, the first thing Jon did was talk me through the process of resizing a ring based on the metal type and style. He was very informative and kind. I called a couple of other places and immediately knew Jon was the go-to person. I took my ring in a few days later. The building did through me off (it's a big office building, when I expected a stand-alone store. Just FYI incase you think you're in the wrong place.) Inside of the store had a great atmosphere and Jon again was super helpful! The ring was ready in 4 days and when we picked it up, he also helped us look through some wedding band ideas for my fiancé. We may go back to get his band from TDC. If not, we know we have a jeweler we can trust for future needs. Thanks for a great experience, Jon!

Although we did not know it at the time, the person who helped us broke two of the four screws that hold the back of the watch on. The person then handed us a small plastic bag containing the parts that used to be the watch. She said we would have to send the watch somewhere to be fixed. We then wrote a review of the incident on Yelp. A representative of Timothy Grant Jewelry called and asked us to bring back the bag of watch parts for repair. We came back with the bag and Timothy Grant Jewelry "repaired" the watch and asked us to take down the Yelp review, which we did. We paid for the new battery and left the establishment. This month the watch needed a new battery. We took the watch to a reputable jeweler. When he opened the watch to replace the battery, he told us that 2 of the 4 screws that hold the back to the watch are broken and the heads of the screws were glued in to present the appearance that the watch is whole. We then attempted to communicate with Timothy Grant Jewelry to resolve our issue. There has to date been no response from Timothy Grant Jewelry. We have had three negative experiences, first he broke the screws that held our watch together and handed us a bag of parts that used to be our watch, second he claimed he fixed the watch but fooled us with a fake repair by gluing the heads of screws to the watch, third he would to respond to us in any way to resolve the issue.

I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this about my engagement ring, but after years of…read morefrustration, I feel other customers deserve to know what my experience has been. My engagement ring has now been repaired four separate times because the same stone continues to fall out. After the most recent repair, the stone stayed in place for only two weeks before falling out again. At this point, it's obvious that the underlying problem isn't being fixed. The employees at the Schaumburg location have always been kind, courteous, and have genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, they're limited because warranty decisions are handled by a third party. The Vernon Hills location, on the other hand, has been incredibly disappointing. Most of my questions were met with, "I don't know," and I left feeling like no one was interested in finding a real solution. What was especially discouraging was having the manager tell me that this particular stone is simply going to continue falling out forever. I couldn't believe that the proposed solution to an engagement ring was to accept that it will repeatedly fail instead of permanently fixing the underlying issue. I was told my ring is a Verragio design and that it's "delicate." I was also told that Rodgers & Holland no longer carries Verragio. If a setting is known to be delicate enough to require repeated repairs, customers deserve a permanent solution--not the same repair over and over again. An engagement ring should last a lifetime, not require constant trips back to the jeweler. I was told the warranty will continue covering repairs until the total repair cost reaches the value of the ring. When I asked how close I was to that limit, no one could give me an answer. How am I supposed to make informed decisions when the company can't tell me where I stand? I was repeatedly encouraged to attend one of the "Restyle" events, but the buyback program felt misleading. While they'll offer credit toward a new purchase, you're expected to spend roughly double the value to qualify. Why would I invest even more money with a company that hasn't been able to properly repair the ring I already purchased? At this point, I've completely lost confidence that this ring will ever be repaired correctly. In my opinion, it needs to be sent back to Verragio for a true factory repair or replaced entirely. Resetting the same stone again and again is not a solution. What makes this even more frustrating is that every time I pick up my ring, I'm told it meets "factory standards." Yet I can clearly see that replacement stones don't always match the originals. Some have appeared smaller or noticeably warmer in color. They may look fine under the jewelry store lights, but once I get home, the differences are obvious. An engagement ring is one of the most sentimental and expensive purchases most people will ever make. Instead of enjoying mine, I've spent years worrying about when the next stone will fall out. After years of repairs, countless trips to the store, and hearing "I don't know" more times than I can count, I've completely lost faith in Rodgers & Holland. A company selling luxury jewelry shouldn't normalize a ring that repeatedly loses stones or tell customers that's simply something they'll have to live with. Save yourself the frustration, the wasted time, and the disappointment. There are jewelers who actually stand behind the quality of what they sell. Rodgers & Holland has proven to me that it is not one of them.

I came in with my…read moreboyfriend's mother to look at engagement rings, which should have been an exciting and special moment. When I told the sales associate that I was looking for engagement rings for myself, she simply pointed to a section and said they were "over there." That section turned out to be entirely lab-grown diamonds. When I politely asked if they had any natural diamond rings to view, her attitude immediately changed. She responded in a dismissive tone saying you "get more for your money with lab-grown diamonds." I explained that I understood but still had a personal preference for a natural diamond. Instead of being helpful, she seemed irritated and said they could only show us the ring setting and then the diamond separately. We agreed to see them. My boyfriend's mother, who is elderly and speaks English as a second language, was trying her best to understand whether the diamonds were "real" or "fake." Rather than responding with patience or kindness, the associate became visibly annoyed and spoke to her in a condescending tone, saying, "This is a real diamond, it's just made differently than a natural diamond." The way she spoke to my boyfriend's mother was completely unacceptable. Jewelry shopping--especially for engagement rings--should feel welcoming and respectful, not uncomfortable or belittling. Between the dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism, we quickly realized this store did not value our business and chose to leave. I would not recommend this location if you're looking for respectful customer service or guidance during such an important purchase.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience- Jared Store #567 in Vernon Hills, IL…read more I visited Jared today to have a diamond replaced in my wedding band for the second time, as well as to have my Pandora bracelets cleaned. I have been a loyal Jared customer and have purchased both of my wedding bands from Jared. In total, I have spent more than $30,000 with the company, which is a significant investment for me. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was extremely disappointing. The associate I spoke with, who was of Asian descent and wearing a blue suit, refused to clean my Pandora bracelets (I sincerely hope she was not the store manager!) She told me that she could sell me a jewelry-cleaning product but could not clean the bracelets in the store, despite the fact that I purchased one of my Pandora bracelets from Jared. I then offered a reasonable alternative. I asked if she could simply remove the charms from the bracelet so that the bracelet itself could be cleaned. The bracelet was not even half full of charms, and all of the charms were Pandora charms. Despite my willingness to make the process easier, she still refused to assist me. What made the experience even more concerning was that when I asked the associate for her name, she refused to provide it. I found this extremely unprofessional and unsettling, particularly given the way I felt I was being treated throughout the interaction. As a customer who has made a substantial investment in Jared, I expected to be treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity. Instead, I left the store feeling dismissed and unwelcome. As a woman of color, I was particularly disappointed because I had hoped my experience with this establishment would reflect an environment where every customer is treated equally and respectfully. I understand that there may be company policies regarding cleaning Pandora jewelry, and I would have been willing to accept a simple explanation of those policies. What I found unacceptable was the manner in which I was treated and the refusal to provide basic customer service. I sincerely hope Jared management reviews this interaction and addresses the situation appropriately. Loyal customers should feel valued, respected, and comfortable when visiting a store where they have invested their hard-earned money. Unfortunately, I did not feel that way during my visit today.

5 STARS IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH…read more First off the service from everyone is amazing. I've been going to this location since before Bay Area Diamond Company took over. The prior owners set a really high bar on customer service. I wasn't sure if the new owners would be able to meet the expectations the prior owners had set. I don't know how they do it, but they EXCEED the prior customer service even. I'm not one that is great with "Hallmark" holidays, but I know they are important to my wife. Bri from Bay Area Diamond Company ensured that I was able to surprise my wife with an amazing gift this y ear for Valentine's Day! My wife was in for her free inspection and jewelry cleaning in January. My wife was browsing and Bri secretly messaged me my wife's favorite selection. That alone was incredibly valuable, BUT Bri did even better. Bri helped encourage me to come in by providing very friendly reminders that Valentine's Day was fast approaching. I was swamped with work, so Bri continued to help further by offering to drop off the gift (along with the free dozen roses from their promo) at my work, so there were absolutely no excuses to not completely WOW my wife. Needless to say, my wife was blown away when she received the gift. She couldn't figure out how I knew her favorite selection. :) I had to reveal that Bri was my secret weapon. Thanks Bri for saving the day!
