I just got an amazing tattoo from Howard - he's a real gifted artist, and a true professional. He enticed me with a great art deposit of $45, did the design to a 'T' then worked with my finicky schedule to be accommodating and efficient. His shop is clean and comforting with neat artwork all over the walls. He quoted a very fair price, and stuck to it. After 90 minutes, the end product of a tattoo I've dreamt years of getting was seriously worth the time and money. I would highly recommend T-Man Tattoo to anyone exploring inking for the first time. Howard is amazing -- creative, accurate, strangely quick for how beautiful his work is... Dave is awesome, too -- talented, funny, I can't say enough good things. They are true artists. My friends came into town and the three of us got tattoos together, one of us with Dave and two of us with Howard. Howard worked on me and my friend. The work is impeccable and gorgeous. I came in to get matching tattoos with a friend. Our artist overbooked himself and rushed quickly through our tattoos. Howard is the man behind my "da mihi basia millie, mea ......" side of the foot tattoo and I LOVE it!!!! Sure, perhaps I could have left my sons dads name off of the end, but hey - that's life! Everyone seems to love this tattoo of mine and they always ask what it says. I tell them it says "kiss me with a million kisses" and I stop right there and never let them get close enough to see whose name is after "my" mea :) Although I am proud of every inch of it. I walked into the shop Howard was at prior to this one here in Studio City (several years ago) and he was very helpful and gave me exactly what I wanted. I've been happy with it since day 1. Now that I'm ready to be selfish and stop donating blood for 12 months, it's time I pay him another visit for my 6th tattoo - a side piece I've been wanting forever! I went here today to have my nose pierced and I was super nervous, but had done my research and this shop consistently came up as one of the best in the area. Howard did my piercing and he was so sweet and laid-back, making sure that I was comfortable with the placement of the piercing and helping me to relax. Howard is great! I went in 1 week ago to get a tattoo on my lower back and came out with a work of art! Seriously - I made an appointment, showed up with what I thought was the perfect design and Howard took it to the next level and made it unique! The shop is clean, so are the tools of the trade, and it's in the perfect spot on Ventura Blvd - right at the pedestrian crosswalk across the street from Chin Chin. My birthday is rapidly approaching and I needed to get a tattoo to commemorate the occasion. After I bit of research I came across T-Man...and I am so glad I did. I came in with an solid idea, but knew I wanted to expand upon it. Howard took one look, gave some suggestions and we were underway. During the session he was great conversation and had a few minor tweaks he made to the design along the way. This was by no means my first tattoo, but I've never worked with a tattoo artist so dedicated to their craft that were continually thinking about refining as they went along. So many stop thinking about the artistry the moment needle touches skin. OK, Its my birthday, and me and the soon to be Mrs. wanted each others names on us. Drove down ventura blvd. and stopped in 2 places and were turned off by both shops. Walked in here, met Howard and felt this was the place, and It was !!! He does great work at a fair price. He will listen to what you want and give suggestions if you need. No rush or pressure here. I have known Jared for a long time, so of course, he was the first person I went to when getting pierced. My boyfriend got his lip, and I got my septum. My boyfriend is fearless and is good with pain, so that one went nice and smoothly. THen when it was my turn, to get my septum pierced, I was scared, and im not good with pain. Jared helped me through it, and eased it, by every other second saying, "are you okay dear" I would recccommend jared to anyone!!!! read more

These guys are great! I went here to get my ears re-pierced, as they had closed up years ago. The place was very clean and sterile. Jared worked with me and was nothing but helpful. He changed his gloves often and used a different sterile needle for each ear. I also had a belly-button piercing that was starting to close up (I had lost my ring and just never got around to buying another) that Jared helped me with. I bought another ring from him, and he used his tools to help open it up a little and put the ring in. And not only were the guys here professional, they were also fun to talk to and kept my mind at ease. I would recommend this place to all my friends. read more

I went into to have more lettering added on to a tattoo on my arm. It is a very special tattoo for my dad who has passed away. I also wanted to have the same font put on my other arm for my mother. T-man is the man... He also put a tattoo behind my ear. He did such a spectacular job. I will be going to him for my next tattoo. Finding the best tattoo artist is important. Howard is a true artist!! My entire life I've been saying I would never get a tattoo but a few weeks ago after watching my close friend get her first by Howard I started thinking about it. I started looking at pictures to get ideas and decided to go for it on my birthday. His place is totally up to health department standards and he made me feel so comfortable. I brought in a picture and then he put his own spin on it. The final artwork is beautiful and although I'm still in shock that I did it, I absolutely love it! The pain was next to nothing. Honestly I just sat there and relaxed for 90 minutes and felt maybe a few twinges. Even if you're not looking to get a tattoo it's worth it to pay a visit and see the amazing artwork he does. Meet the Business Owner: Howard T.

Teman arrived in Los Angeles to pursue his art career in 1984. By the age of 23, Teman was already one of the most sought-after rock n' roll t-shirt designers with the merchandising company Great Southern. There, Teman designed t-shirts for such acts as Cher, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Lynrd Skynrd, Cypress Hill, and designed a world tour t-shirt for The Scorpions, which became Great Southern's all time best seller. In the early '90s, Teman became renowned around Hollywood for his series of lithographs which reflect pop culture of the 20th and 21st centuries. These pieces contained uncanny likenesses of Hollywood film legends, rock stars, horror and sci-fi, comedy, sports, television, politicians, and infamous serial killers. I especially wanted to shout out Hernan for my navel piercing. He did a phenomenal job. He was communicative and completely open to my requests. It's been about three days now, and I'm honestly surprised by how little soreness and discomfort I've had. I'm a bigger guy with a stomach, so I was a little concerned about how a navel piercing would feel, especially since it's a high movement area. But after the first 12 hours, there is very little soreness, and I'm already noticing less discomfort when I move. I think a lot of that has to do with Hernan's skill and attention to placement. He checked the placement while I was standing, sitting, and laying down to see how my stomach and navel moved and sat in each position. That level of care really stood out to me and should be standard but isn't everywhere which is why I always go here. For any plus size person wondering if a navel piercing is possible or will heal well, it definitely will! It's more about your individual anatomy than your size, but having a knowledgeable piercer who understands anatomy of all sizes makes a huge difference. Everyone here is great. I wanted simple scribe on my neck and apparently traditional tattoo artists only do visible tattoos if you have more... and I have five. Sure that's fine, but with that came a mini lecture about what I'm deciding to put on my body. Telling me to wait a week without asking how long this has been on my mind. It went into as far as telling to consider how I'm profiled in society because of a neck tattoo. I'm a Black Queer Man living in America. Although well intended, I don't need someone at the peek of the social totem pole telling me about being "profiled" in this country. Again, really don't have an issue with refusing to do the service. I know it was well intended. But I don't need a tone deaf conversation when I'm calling to get a quote on a tattoo.

Vinnie was patient with my wife who had a very specific idea of what she wanted. He listened and adjusted and made sure it was exactly how she wanted it to be. The work is beautiful- we call them stickers because it looks like it's been applied that way. I had one piece that I threw his way after getting 3 and he showed me multiple ways to get it done- he's a true artist - he stretched it, showed me, and there were so many different ways for one little thing. T-Man Tattoos is the place to get tattoos in the Valley, and Hollywood. Howard always has a great positive energy, he's a great artist to begin with, and would always give professional feedback and guide you to your own special tattoo. It all comes from love with him, never pressure, and great customer service. I really enjoy to visit his great parole, see some new tattoos he just did, or his art, and plan on my next tattoo. Though I'm not into piercing he has it going on there as well. just cause its kinda sometimes cool, we do live in LA after-all, from time to time you can see/meet some celebs that come to get their tattoos at his shop. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I went to T-Man Tattoo about a year ago because it came highly recommended and for my first tattoo all I wanted was the best, and that is exactly what I got! Howie is an amazing artist and an awesome person. After talking him up to my boyfriend, Howie was the only artist we wanted to see for our tattoos when he came home on leave. Howie was very accommodating and patient. Since I am a very indecisive person, he drew up two different possibilities for me and let me decide. Howard at T-Man Tattoos is the ultimate artist. He has done 3 tattoos for my daughter and two for myself. One was a cover of a name and it came out so beautiful. All his work is really creative and beautiful. Anyone in the greater Los Angeles area needs to come and get tatted by the T-Man! Howard did my back piece, my right arm, my chest and neck. He created just what I wanted and it came out better then I even wanted. His shop can definitely distract you if you don't like pain, he has plenty of his art work on the wall and a Plasma TV for the Judge Judy fans. read more
