They really went above and beyond here. I went in to purchase a new phone and Jason, one of the representatives, noticed that I had been overpaying for my line. I had no idea and and wouldn't have known if it wasn't for him. He went ahead and filed a claim to see if it was possible for me to get some kind of credit. Afterwards I had a little trouble with the corporate office on the phone (not this branch, the 611 number) so I headed back to the store hoping they could help. They were all so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Ryan, the manager was awesome as well. This location has definitely redeemed my hope in T-Mobile, over the last year and a half TMo has become just like the rest of the cell phone carriers which are DOUCHEBAG MONEY SUCKERS! Every time I would call Customer Service I would get mixed answers each time and the run around which became such a headache on top of the headache I have every day LOL! I would become so frustrated each time I would have to call them -_- Even going to the Orange location the employees were NO help at all, they were just piranhas trying to sell you on everything under the moon and intentionally hike up your cell phone bill without informing you which really pisses off the customers that have been with this company for 10.5 years! So the cell phone gods have been on my side lately each time I've come to this location! I've had my old Android for 2 years and it was on its last leg and since my phone is considered OLD they don't carry it anymore much less batteries which I needed desperately, I contemplated even staying with T-Mobile since they were such douchebags but I wanted to get quotes for a new phone just to weigh my options and out of the depths of the pits rose up a wonderful employee named Saul came to the rescue and turned my frown upside down! He actually was able to convert me to an all touch phone! I was very heldbent on staying with phones that had physical keyboards but since its considered olds school they are dying like a rare breed! He guided me towards a Galaxy S5 and spent so much time with us over 1 1/2 hour showing me everything about the phone, the financing, setting up the phone with my information, just about everything he knew about and had an answer for! He broke down the pricing without breaking the bank, I even left with a pink case for my new S5, and with a smile on my face. Saul is such an awesome employee and has only been there for 2 months, I assumed he was the manager because he was so professional and so knowledgeable! I am so impressed with all of the staff, they all immediately greeted us and kept checking on us making sure that someone was going to help us. Unparalleled customer service. Really? From a cell phone store? Yes, really. The T-Mobile store on 17th and Santa Ana in Newport Beach is a well-oiled, knowledgeable machine with uniformly friendly staff eager to help. This place is always busy and yet they have "the only YOU" face down cold - they greet you walking in the door, put your name on a list and get to you quickly. They listen. Then they ask the questions that move you to resolution. In my case, it was the removal of a $10/month feature from my account. Giovanny G. accomplished in 5 minutes what T-Mobile's Customer Service/Billing Department couldn't do in over an hour the day before with 2 specialists working on it. Simultaneously he was helping another customer with a phone smashed to smithereens with a wet SIM card. Somehow he was able to harvest her old data - she was weeping with gratitude and relief when I left. Kudos to manager, Ryan Woods, for assembling such a talented, customer-facing team. I just left this T-Mobile location after having hands down the best customer service experience that I've ever had before. I was much over due for a new phone and had been putting off going in to T-Mobile because I've had such difficult experiences at other locations in the past and wasn't ready to put up a battle just to upgrade my phone. I was greeted by Gio and he was able to answer my initial question about pricing right off the bat. Right after speaking with him I knew that I wanted to upgrade right then and there. The store manager got me all situated and helped me select a case, screen protector, and a wireless charger to help go along with my new device. Flor then assisted me with the set up of the device and transferring all of my contacts, photos, and videos. Flor has to be the best sales associate that I've ever come in contact with. She was extremely personable and engaging and made it feel like the process was much shorter than it really was. She was very helpful, patient and answered all of my questions. I work in the customer service industry myself and it's so important to be able to connect with your customers and she did just that. She's the ideal employee for the customer service industry. I will definitely be going to this T-Mobile to handle everything involving my phone in the future just due to the amazing level of customer service that was received today. read more

Came in to get my temper glass replaced because I purchased one in the Irvine t mobile store. I was immediately added to the wait list and helped shortly after. Neil came to assist us as I explained that I had bought the temper glass from a store while he checked to see if I got warranty. Then told us that we would need to go to the website and submit the receipt. Afterwards he asked if I kept the receipt bc I would need it and then helped try to reprint it. But because I had gotten the screen protector from a chain store and not a corporate shop, he didn't have access. Throughout the entire process he was very helpful and patient. Came in today (around noon on a Monday) to jump from my crappy iPhone 5s to a glorious rose gold 6s plus. Was greeted and helped within moments of walking in, even though there were a good amount of clientele present. Customer service was on point; Sarah and Gambino both assisted me flawlessly and were super knowledgable and helpful. Even the other associates who weren't helping me out were noticeably knowledgable and clearly working as a team. Gabino was amazing. He got me from Verizon which I was paying $130 for 1 line and I switched my family of 4 over to T-Mobile for $140. He got my mom a free iPhone and even suspended my line until we made the full switch over and saved me a good amount of money. The worst cell phone carrier I have ever been with. No service any where I go. Got suckered in by Dianne and her lack of knowing the process of switching over from another carrier. Told us we could keep our devices and still qualify for the reimbursement program. That wasn't right. Called her on it and their solution was to spend more money. Had to pay my other carrier $700 out of my pocket because of her mess up. Now it will cost me another $1,500 to leave....it's worth it. read more

I've been to this location twice (once last year to upgrade my iPhone, today to ask for info about the iPhone 8), and honestly the workers are really great. I walked in quietly then was greeted warmly by one of the employees once he noticed I came in, and he was really helpful on what info he could provide for the time being on preordering the iPhone 8. It wasn't busy since it was near the end of the day, so the other employee chimed in with good humor about the iPhone 8 since the news came out just today. Upon leaving he asked if I was planning to drop by this Friday to preorder, and because of my experiences so far I'm definitely coming by. I've been here for the last 3 weeks to get this straightened out. I finally switched from AT&T and when we tried to get a new plan set up, they said that another customer had my ss card. I went through hell and back and finally we found out it was t-mobile's mistake, they inputted my social into the other person's account info. but they had his correct one. He had been a client for almost 2 years. So when that was all said and done and I had notified my banks, credit bureaus, etc. I came in to find out they can't run my credit because of the whole 62 days waiting period. So I caved in and got the no credit plan, until I go back and switch. I joke with the employees there because I feel like I'm a part time employee with how often I have been going in and the duration of each visit. I worked with David, who has more patience than I do. All of the employees there are really nice and very personable. David went above and beyond and gave me different options, and even told me that when I am ready to go back in and switch plans, he would be more than happy to help. Thank you David and the team for helping me through this long and arduous process. So glad I broke up with AT&T! read more

The rudest most disinterested manager ever!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!! They are dishonest. Only 10 days out for being able to upgrade but my phone was on it's last leg. The manager said in order to upgrade I would have to bump up my data plan by $15 even though I don't even come close to using what I was currently on? Gave me the bullshit excuse that it was an older data plan and I wasn't allowed to stay on it. Not true! We went to the Tmob laguna Niguel and the nicest most professional sales rep upgraded my gf's phone. I told him what happened and he immediately changed the data plan back to what I originally had. He then told me I had insurance on my phone....... Something I NEVER requested. F@ckn idiots just trying to up their commissions by adding things without the customers knowledge or permission? So immoral and dishonest. Unbelievable! I'm going to be contacting corporate about this. The manager and the female rep both need to be fired. read more

From the moment I first switched over, to every time I have added people to my line, or just went in for the simplest to most complex questions I have always been treated with the utmost customer care. And honestly I'm not one to go and look for exceptional customer service at a store and complain over the smallest thing. I simply go for what I need. But these awesome people make you want to come back over and over again. Today a chick by the name Flor was patient, awesome, knowledgeable, courteous, and the list goes on. This T-Mobile store has great customer service, of course, you get the right person. Luis (African American) was the best customer experience I had in a long time. Straight to the point and doesn't BS around. Told me what I needed to hear and was so good I stayed with T-Mobile and bought the Galaxy Note 2 in the process. Went again and dealt with two young ladies that were great, one was a assistant manager and the other a sales rep. Both were very accommodating and willing to help, and what do you know, bought the iPhone 5 for my girlfriend in the process. Great place to go. But like all places you go to, there are some people that look to not want to be there and not really willing to go above and beyond to help. I was in there yesterday 05/07/2013 and there was a line of people, a customer goes to another female sales rep and asked for assistance. The rep said "sorry, I'm about to be off". I figured, if your not off yet and there is a line of disgruntle people in line, it would not hurt the company that much to assist that person as opposed to having a official complaint. Still a good place to go, just hope you get the right person. read more

This entire company is arguably THE WORST CELL PHONE CARRIER I have ever had to deal with. From the in-store experiences through the customer service department all the way up to and including upper management. Nobody seems to know what they are doing! !! This used to be a great company, but they got huge and now they can't keep up with their own rapid growth. I would recommend a tuna fish can with a string attached before using T-Mobile as your cell phone carrier. BEWARE... BROKEN PROMISES, FAULTY EQUIPMENT, MISMANAGED ADMIN ISSUES, BILLING ERRORS... and the list goes on. I just spoke to a SUPERVISOR who told me for the 3rd day in a row that my order is NOT in process, after being guaranteed that I would absolutely, beyond the scintilla of any doubt, have the phone IN MY HANDS by 10 a.m. this morning.
