After an absolute clinic in poor customer service at ATT, coming to this store was a breath of fresh air. A younger lady helped me (I'm sorry I didn't get a name) and was extraordinarily easy to deal with. I canceled my ATT service and activated my phone with TMobile, but I needed to transfer my phone number. I came unprepared and had to wait for my wife to return with my old phone to get some information off of it. The employee was not annoyed and didn't even make me get back in line. Instead, she talked to me like a valued customer for the couple of minutes it took. Once we had all the devices needed, the transfer was done in less than ten minutes. She knew what she was doing on both iPhone and Samsung, and made the process so easy. I had additional questions about my plan and she answered them all and made it easy to understand. I've had multiple family members switch to TMobile and they had nothing but great things to say about this location as well. Ultimately, their service was better, plans were cheaper, and this is a much better customer experience. read more

The staff was very helpful with the trade-in phone that wouldn't power up. I was told that sometimes, when phones are sitting in storage for a while, then they're slow to power up. So, the attempt was made to power it up but it never turned on. So, the young man kindly sealed up my box for me, and even taped the shipping label on. Thanks so much for your help! read more

I've had a T-Mobile home Internet box for several years. I haven't used it for almost a year, then when I contacted T-Mobile to cancel the service and figure out how to get rid of this box, it took over an hour to deal with that. I also asked about maybe refunding some of my money since I haven't really used it, it was packed in a box and I forgot about it. Of course the agent never acknowledged the fact that I haven't really used it for almost a year. Avoid this store at all costs. My wife and I followed their instructions, used the carrier app, and got a clear $900 trade‑in value. The moment we got to the counter, the employee tried to drop it to $600 and argued with us instead of explaining anything. On top of that, they couldn't answer basic questions about the new phone. We had to look everything up ourselves because the employee offered zero help and plenty of attitude. My partner and I were having issues with getting the information from the 13 to the 17. We originally went to the store on Grossmont where we were going to have the information transferred. We ran into Fallon. She couldn't care less about good customer service. She was texting on her phone for the entire time we were there. She said we were all downloaded and when we got home no apps or contact were transferred. I thought i was going to have a weekend of downloading 100 apps. I called the store in Santee and spoke to Gabe who said to bring in the phones and they will fix the problem We went to the Santee store today and met with James. James did everything to get the information from the 13 to the 17. He was patient and genuinely cared about helping us. He was with us for a bout and hour and when we left the phones were perfect. James also helped with the transfer of the phone as it was really busy. My daughter is so happy, she has a pink phone with a pink case, so pretty. I'm not sure why this place isn't 4 stars plus... I came in around 6:30... And left before they closed with everything I needed, including adding another line me and getting another phone, changing one phone number to the new phone and getting a new number for my old phone. I had to go into the T-Mobile store to sort out a somewhat complicated issue with my mother-in-law's cell phone service. I typically avoid cell phone stores like I do car dealerships and the dentist! So, I was not looking forward to this. I checked in with the gentleman at the door and when I gave him a brief description of the reason for the visit, he said he was going to talk to the store manager and try to get me to the front of the line. There were at least two other parties ahead of me. After about five minutes, my name was called and I met with Mary. I believe she was the manager. She listened and quickly understood the issue and went right to work solving it. She was friendly, understanding, and professional. She took care of the initial problem and even helped with a couple of related lessor issues (downloading the T-Mobile app on my mother-in-law's phone, for example). I am not a T-Mobile customer myself, but if this is the kind of customer service I can expect locally, then I may give them some serious consideration in the future. I've been to this store twice in recent weeks. Both were good experiences. first, it seems like there's always a wait since there are more customers than employees, but they do have several employees. First visit was to get a purchase receipt for my 6-tear-old phone. corporate T-Mobile actually referred me to my local store for this. and while it wasn't easy, they came through. Second visit was to apply protective screens to my two new iPhones. I picked these phones up at T-Mobile's 5454 Grossmont Center Dr. store in La Mesa. Service there was horrible. They would not help transfer data from old phones to new phones nor apply protective screens. So I went to the Santee T-Mobile. There, I received all the assistance I asked for. Special shout out to Ray. others were helpful during my two visits, but I neglected to get their names. Bottom line: Santee T-Mobile GREAT. La Mesa T-Mobile HORRIBLE. read more

Went to get a phone for my dad that lives in Mexico 24/7. About a year ago I went to the T-Mobile store off mission gorge road and got helped out by a representative(can't think of their name) I explained to them that I need to get my dad a phone because this is the only way we can communicate due to not being able to see him for months at a time. Sometimes a year. This representative told me that it shouldn't be a problem to get him a phone which I then explained again that he lives in Mexico 24/7 and I want to make sure that this is something they can do. They then said that it's not an issue. So I got the phone. Tell me why 2 months later down the line my dad suddenly stops getting data on his phone. Only calls and texts. No images no gps no internet. Nothing. I called customer care at 611 and they couldn't figure it out. So finally after calling and talking to a couple different support members they mention that the reason they canceled the data and internet was because it's against their policy for customers to have the phones in Mexico for more than (X) amount of days. So I raised my concern to the customer help person and they told me that it's unfortunate but that's just their policy. Now due to not being able to get the phone so easily from my dad because of certain reasons I finally get the phone in possession. I finally have time to go to the T-Mobile store. Once there I walk in and am greeted by Juan. Apparently he's the manager there. He was going in lunch. No big deal. I waited for him to come back. At first he was very professional and listened to me. I voiced my concerns to him about said representative that sold me the phone and he takes him to the back. Once being in the back for a while manager Juan comes back out and basically starts telling me that there is no way his employee promised me that because apparently quote on quote " that's the first thing he trains his employees on. If as soon as a new customer mentions that the phone is permanently internationally used they automatically say they can not help us" so why is it that when I mentioned that this phone was to be used 24/7 in Mexico was I not told about this. The manager goes to the back and said representative comes up to me very defensive saying "why do you have my name in your mouth talking to my manager about me lying that I told you false information" Maybe because you did. I was very straight forward with the manager that if I would have known that if they would have told me that they couldn't do what I needed I would have kept my service with them and found a different alternative because I have been with T-Mobile for almost 13 years. it's not like I was unhappy with the phone plan. I was unhappy with the way I was treated and lied to by this employee. Then all of a sudden I have the manager, the employee that I was making a complaint about and another employee In front of me. I don't know if this was a tactic or whatever. But I'm sure it's all on camera. Customers around and all. I went in trying to make a complaint and basically got told too bad because I asked the manager " are tot able to help me out with this issue today or not" he legit said " this is something you're gonna have to figure out yourself" I asked for the district managers information and he said no. He said I needed to give him my phone email and information and only after he provided his side of the story to the district manager then they will contact me. 13 years of service with T-Mobile and 1 employee is all it took. 3 against myself? I came into the store with the intention of adding a line and buying a device. As I was going through questions with the associate, he was looking in every other direction, taking questions and comments from other associates for people "looking to buy", and didn't seem very interested in helping me other than pointing me to my app over and over again. I know I can probably figure out ordering and purchasing items online, but I was looking for the experience of buying a Christmas present at the store. Out of all the T-Mobile stores in east county, this one is my favorite. The store is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Only downside is there's always a wait. I wish they would have one employee available for quick customer needs like a screen protector change, make payments or buy accessories. I always seem to go there for something quick and have to wait awhile while people are purchasing new phones which can take quite a long time. T-Mobile online support could not help so I had to head over to the T-Mobile store in Santee. I arrived there just after opening and I was the third person in line. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I had to wait about 12 minutes for a sales rep to assist me. T-mobile service claims 5G speeds except where their towers don't work in Santee, CA, a suburb of San Diego. On my brand new iPhone 13 Pro, a $1200 phone for 5G, I get 16 Mbps download and 0.45 Mbps upload speeds on the T-Mobile 5G network, which sucks. T-mobile tech support verified their towers are being upgraded in Santee but have no expected date of completion. In consolation, they offered me a $13 one time credit on my two line account to compensate me for many months of crappy service. Whoopee!!! read more
