Get to a week later, I call back about the part because I need it replaced. "Oh, $, we never got that ordered. I was mowing my lawn when he called me and..." Oh boy. Not good. Let's review: * Immediately refunded my deposit * Continued investigation and found they DID get it ordered * Did not demand a new deposit * Continued tracking the package, even though it seemed to be lost - well beyond the expected Tuesday-Wednesday timeframe. * It arrived while I was at work, really didn't have time to fix it. But he called me up to let me know and we worked out a time - he personally promised to set that time aside for me. I showed up, he confirmed it was the right screen, we went through some tests - it was glitchy - then he rebooted and it seems to have unglitched. As I now touch my screen to confirm, Device Surgeon got it done. They fought the mail, they put the customer first, and navigated a tricky situation successfully. I honestly didn't think there was any chance of saving it. Super nice guy great service and they seriously saved me from losing a ton of important stuff. We went back to the store twice, not realizing both units were gone. We went the first time for our Router replacement, got it hooked up and running, before realizing the Cablebox also needed to be replaced. Called up Verizon again, and they were able to order us replacements to pick up at this location both times. (They offered to ship it to us for free, but we preferred to pick them up same day to get our WiFi working ASAP to be able to work from home.) Both visits were quick, and the employees in store (and on the phone) were incredibly kind and helpful. Amazing and efficient customer service! The store was clean and convenient to get to for us. We did not have to pay for these replacements because they were covered by Verizon policies.
