The customer service there is abysmal. They close at 6:30, we arrived at their door at 6:29 to find the door locked. Both of the workers were behind the counter and looked up and shook their head 'no'. Basically saying to us F you. I can understand if we got there after hours, but this was prior to the hours posted online and on their door. By far, my favorite UPS store in the area. While I live closer to two different UPS stores, I'd rather drive the extra distance and have the Lake Hiawatha store take care of all my shipping and printing needs. Unlike other stores, they do not charge a fee to tape up my packages and are always so willing and eager to provide top notch customer service. A major bonus to this location is they do have Sunday hours that makes it super easy to drop off packages 7 days a week. With a busy schedule, sometimes the only free time to send stuff out is on Sunday and by being opened, it makes it super easy. PJ, the owner strives for customer satisfaction and instills this upon his employees in that they are always awesome whenever I go. Oh.. forgot to mention.. in addition to shipping and printing, they are also my go to spot for my notary needs. Aside from great customer service, the store gives back to the community as well. As a former PTA president, PJ has been generous to the PTA and you can often see the UPS Store sponsoring local sporting teams. read more

The worst UPS store you can find, read the rest of Google reviews if you don't believe it. 1- that location has an owner P.J Thurkauf and 2 ladies (an old white and a tall African American) with the worst attitude and zero customer service knowledge and skills you can find any where. 2- They drop your packages on the floor in front of you, before you even leave the store. 3- don't reply to your greeting or to even "Thank you" 4- No respect or courtesy to customers, noticed this with me and with many others. 5- carless about numerous customers complains, they think since they are very busy with Amazon business then it won't matter loosing a few customers. I contacted the UPS customer service, BBB and in the process of contacting the Eastern regional office through my business to investigate them. hope one day to see them fired and those jobs are given to someone who deserve them. read more

I just went into this location and the very racist white lady didn't want to help me. I walked in said good morning to an empty store. She refused to respond just looked and me and rolled her eyes. I said it again and she proceeded to ask me why did I park like that. I didn't even notice the parking lines because the shop is empty and the street is empty. I told her no one is in the store or in the parking lot. She continues to say why did you park like that. I asked her what does it matter. She hesitated to come to the register to help me. Still didn't say good morning. And then said it again. So I asked her is it because I'm blk you feel the need to talk to me like that. She looks appalled and so I walked out with my package . Just wanted to say, although the UPS reps with the toll free number have given us such a difficult and confusing time with our parcels in many occasions, this recent one, Alice/Ally, from the local delivery center really came in the clutch to help us coordinate our package. We have dealt in previous times with Alice when we had issues with delivery, but we were dismissed right away and it wasn't too great. This time around, I'm so happy that this time we were met with understanding and actual help in our parceling issue. They could still stand a bit too listen to the issue first before assuming, but overall, Alice was proactive in calling us to hide us updates on our parcel. Hope this type of experience continues moving forward. Background: Receiving parcel, and UPS ETA moved from 1-2 to 4-5 to finally 6-7pm on a Monday. We took the day off from work as it's an expensive parcel, still parcel didn't arrive and we had an emergency to attend to past 7pm. When we came back, as anticipated, we received the missed info notice saying it will be at an access point. We were told by the access point associate that there is no parcel and offered explanation that as per the notice, it looks like it should be delivered to them in 2 days. called customer care, and they told us that the parcel should be at the access point. read more

I usually use the USPS for my mailings as it's almost always cheaper for what I'm mailing out, but I have had a number of occasions now when I've had to use this UPS to mail out larger packages or when I need a guaranteed overnight delivery. The staff here are really helpful and always seem to be friendly. There might be closer locations, but this place has my business. It's just on the other side of town and easy to get to. The management at this location is quite rude, the older lady who is often there is not helpful and several times had a major attitude with myself as well as customers in front of me in line. The staff could step it up and be nicer but instead they go off of how the manager behaves depending on the day. If being polite and valuing customers is important to you, avoid this location! When I walked in today a gentleman behind the counter was on the phone and the lady behind the counter was helping a customer. Another customer walked in right before me but was filling out his paperwork for what he was mailing and I was waiting in line. When the lady was ready for the next customer I stepped up and she said, "oh he was here before you." I said, "yes but he was filling out paperwork and I was before him in line and ready to be helped." But she took that customer who of course wasn't ready and didn't have the correct mailing envelope. Thankfully when the owner (who is so nice) was done with the phone call he helped me. He was very efficient and nice. The lady, needs to learn how to help customers efficiently and correctly. I frequent this location but will avoid being serviced by her!!! read more

We used the Lake Hiawatha store to create a welcome sign for our wedding and our save the date cards. The quality of everything was amazing! The owner PJ was able to take our invitation and make it into a huge sign which was also waterproof in case it rains. For our save the dates he helped Photoshop our pictures to make them flawless!
