I went here to upgrade my phone (or buy -since there are no more upgrades) and change my plan. I quoted everything out online beforehand, just to make sure that I knew what I wanted/could afford. When I walked in a nice girl named Chelsea greeted me, but then informed me that the prices online do not apply in store- then told me that it's only a few dollars more in store. So she kept processing the changes. Uhh. the phone was 150$ cheaper online, while the plan was 7$ cheaper online. That adds up. So I told her to stop everything and she got a little huffy, and kept trying to tell me the price was almost the same. In the end i walked out, bought the cheaper phone/plan online. And then picked it up same day in store. I get that they work off of commission,but don't try to do the old school bait and switch. Just have one price. read more

BEWARE, all associates are liars, they con you into free equipment so they can charge a connection fee. Additionally, when I checked my bill they added a cell phone number to my account that i didn't even have. The BBB should investigate and shut this location down as it is filled with scam artists. I can not begin to explain the hastle of 5 hours on the phone with verizon due to the lack of employees communication they gave me a new line, I was unaware of, they told me the galaxy phones were buy one get one half they told me that the next bill would be all the discounts, never happened!!! So stay away from this store, they will cost you more than they are worth. Verizon only tells you they are not an authorized Verizon store go to Mt. Hope Road in Rockaway, that's there answer, the fraud that was created is not there problem they don't care. Verizon Administration/Managers don't care as long as they are making money so The employee is right, complain to Verizon, and they just say, the customer is wrong!! I previously had some major issues with my phone and decided to make an appointment at this retailer for help. Upon my arrival, I was seated and began working with a member of the staff. I clearly explained what the issues were, as well as making it clear that I already did every troubleshooting option that was possible. The store was fairly empty and about five other staff members came and crowded the desk, wanting me to explain the issue again. This was pretty uncomfortable and rather unnecessary, so I wasn't too impressed with the store. You would think with the number of people crowding me, one would have had a suggestion on how to fix the phone's issue. The recommendation was, of course, to push me to purchase a brand-new phone. This would have been the next model and naturally, at full price. This was probably one of the most unhelpful experiences I've had when dealing with a phone. read more

Do not go to this store. They are con artists. Items that were returned.... A refund was posted to my account .. I saw it in pending and then it was reversed. Slimy sales associate slipped a case and screen protector on my phone that I did not request while I left as he was transferring data. I had no idea what he did. Horrible unethical people work in that store. They are independent dealers .. no recourse from Verizon. I am a Senior Citizen and they scammed me with accessories. WIRELESS ZONE in Morris Plains, NJ is charging customers with hidden fees. I bought a new phone and was forced into a new plan and they charged me with a VERIZON SET UP & GO fee of $49.99 without telling me. It took over 3 hours and I still left without my phone "SET-UP & GO". I could have done it myself for free. JOSEPH B did not give me a receipt and I did not sign anything authorizing that charge. The people working there are incompetent. I should bill THEM for my wasted time. The manager MIKE called me to discuss this issue and he said it was a STANDARD CHARGE. I explained to him that had I been informed of this charge I would have declined and set up my new phone for free, on my own. When he finally called me back to discuss this charge, he talked over me the whole time and started giving me ridiculous metaphors like getting my car serviced. He also had the audacity to being up a transaction regarding my husband's upgrade from 2016! I informed him that it is 2023 and I was going to dispute the charge on my credit card and file a complaint about his store. His answer verbatim...GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. He is a millennial without a clue. He ultimately hung up on me (so profession as a "manager"). I would advise anyone to avoid this toxic store and instead go to a reputable VERIZON store. read more

Deceptive con artists. I upgraded my phone and few weeks ago and was talked into a hot spot device by telling me it was "part of the plan." When I got my first bill with the new phone, turns out this device carrie another phone line and number and adds close to $70 per month on my bill. Verizon is now taking the device back. (not the store!) I was also told the the USB wire for the iPhone twelve was a new size and I needed to also purchase a new charging block. Turns out I could have used my existing chargers because the connection on the iPhone 12 is the same as previous models. BEWARE of this place. The guy who I dealt with is very nice and clearly knows how to manipulate by making you feel like he is working in your best interest. HE IS NOT! My advice - just deal directly with Verizon or Apple if it's an iPhone. Stay away from 3rd party dealers like this. read more

[TLDR: Don't be taken advantage of by this shady man and his business! The salesman was trying to sell me a brand new iPhone when the issue I was having is well known to be repaired by Apple free of charge and got agitated when I decided to leave the store instead of buying a new phone.] If I could leave zero stars I would! I have an iPhone 7 that has the "No Service" issue due to a motherboard issue that is well documented on the internet. Prior to entering the store I did not know about this issue or that Apple will repair free of charge any affected iPhone 7's. The salesman at the store told me that my phone was shot and that I must buy a new one due to, as he said, "the world wide motherboard issue affecting iPhone 7s". The man then tried to sell me a brand new phone with all sorts of odd fees that I've never encountered before. Since the man was aware of "the world wide motherboard issue" it is logical that he was also aware that Apple repairs the affected phones free of charge, indicating that he was trying to take advantage of the situation and was not conducting business in good faith. The man then got agitated when I decided to leave the store instead of buying a new phone right then. iPhones are expensive - this man was going to try to get me to pay at minimum $600, which is not an insignificant amount of money, instead of informing me that Apple is replacing the affected phones for free. read more

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES: message from store that the phone they sold me two years ago was being recalled; bring it in for FREE replacement. i went in and learned the replacement phone they offer costs more, so I would be taking on another two years of monthly payments! A true recall would swap phone for a comparable model. They are obviously trying to dupe people into buying an upgrade. I walked, checked online and find no evidence of the phone recall. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! Horrible experience here last month. Ended up paying almost $100 in "generic" fee's. My sister and I both had upgrades and both got the new Iphone7. She went to a location by our house, and I went to this location which is by my job. My sister's total was $55 and mine was $145. My sister's bill was actually lowered to $65 per month, and mine was raised to $75 per month. I called Verizon and this store to ask about the charges. Verizon claims this store is not affiliated with them and they are not responsible for the miscellaneous fees. I spoke to an employee at the store, and he stated my receipt is just "generic" and that the amount I paid "is not really on the receipt." I ended up paying $40 for an "early upgrade" (even though I had waited the 24 months for my upgrade), $25 SIM activation, $30 new phone activation, and $22 to close my old phone account out and upgrade. Will never go back and have already told my office about the experience. Needless to say, they will be experiencing a lot less business. read more
