Employees will not even acknowledge you unless you are looking to buy a new phone so they can make commission. My experience: I came to this store with my mom because my phone was experiencing a glitch, after it died, it began to only charge to 1% and nothing further. After taking it to Best Buy who ran diagnostics, they informed me there was no damage to the phone and it was not my fault, but something in the internal system had just failed (basically a glitch) and it most likely wasn't recognizing the battery. My phone is barely 1 year old and has never had damage to it. So, my mom called verizon corporate and they said we could trade in this broken phone and they will provide a new one for free, all we had to do was bring my broken phone to a verizon store so they could call tech support and confirm the diagnosis themselves. This was all notated in our account. When we came into the store, the employee Ivan came up to help us. My mom explained the situation and all he asked was if we had a protection plan. We said no, and he said there was nothing he could do to help us. We were very confused and explained again how the agent we called at verizon corperate knew we did not have a protection plan either but insisted we could get a new phone. Ivan said he doesn't know why the agent would say that because if we didn't have protection there's nothing he could do. We asked him if he could just call tech support like the verizon corporate agent said they should do and he told us with an attitude there's no point in even calling tech support because i'm 100% not getting a new phone unless i buy a new one. he then refused to help us. My mom decided to call verizon corporate right there in the store and they let us use their telephone. of course, verizon corporate confirmed we could get a new phone, and since the store we were in was unhelpful, they would just ship the phone directly to our house in 2 days and we will ship the other one back. we were on the store's telephone for a good hour and a half and not once did a single employee check on us, come over to ask anything, or even offer us a chair. at one point while i was on the phone my mom went over to the manager to complain about the employee ivan, the manager didn't say much and afterwards, there was no other customers in the store, and all the employees, including the manager and ivan, were sitting down chilling, hanging out and laughing. again, not once did anybody ask if we needed help and the manager did not send ivan over to apologize for lying to us. Had we listened to him and not called corporate again, we would be stuck paying $1,000 for a new phone. He lied and said there was no way we could get a new phone and refused to help us, while verizon corporate sent us a new phone with express shipping for free because they actually care about the costumer. When we complained about the store to the agent on the phone from corperate, she confirmed that they were probably being unprofessional and unhelpful because we weren't looking to spend money and therefore they couldn't make commission off of us. we filed an official complaint with verizon corporate and i hope any higher up manager of the store would get in contact with me about this horrible rude experience.

The young man at BB was very helpful in answering my questions regarding my new phone. I appreciated his knowledge/expertise. I don't receive "knowledge and expertise" experience from T-Mobile customer service. A few years ago, I purchased a laptop at BB and had a positive experience with the young man from the Geek Squad at BB. Customer Service is NOT the best in many retail stores. Don't be passive-aggressive at BB or you will NOT get the service you want and/or expect. I went to the T-Mobile store inside IHIP mall. The young lady who tried to sell me the SAME phone saw me walk into T-Mobile. I told her I needed to have my data transferred from my old phone to my new phone. She was the same person who attempted to SELL ME the same phone at $300 MORE. LOL! My experience at BB was "OK" -- it was not over the top customer service, but I prefer having a competent person who is knowledgeable and has expertise in a product and can answer my questions than have "5 star" customer service. Two days after my first repair, I started having issues with the Touch Bar and the screen. That problem is still not fixed, despite multiple return visits. The camera worked fine after the first repair, but it later stopped working. On my most recent visit, an employee said the camera issue might be related to the logic board. The screen/display problems have also continued despite multiple repair attempts. On my last visit, I was met with an attitude, like they were doing me a favor by addressing problems with a device they had already repaired. I called customer service and explained that in the two years I've had this device, I've been in multiple times for the same issue, including three different screens, and it still isn't fixed. Then they keep your device for weeks no follow calls nothing. You call for follow up and attitude. I should not be doing customer service to them. I called the customer service number and was told they wouldn't do anything because the device was originally repaired over 12 months ago, despite my repeated visits since then for the same problem. The guy I spoke to just said yea sorry for what happened. We can't help. He had that on repeat. They use cheap replacement parts, and when those parts fail, they act like fixing their own mistake is a favor to you. They will LIE to you and tell you they use quality parts. They do not. I'm filing a report with the BBB. Do not take your devices here. /// UPDATE 8/25 One of their employees looked up my personal LinkedIn profile the day after I filed my complaint. He had my information because I was a customer in an active dispute with the store, and he used it to look me up personally on his own account. That is not normal, and it is not okay. Their response: denied any responsibility because the repair was "over 12 months ago," despite documented continuous, unresolved visits for the same issue this entire time. No replacement, no repair, nothing offered. When I told them about the employee going through my personal information, they passed it off to the local franchise owner instead of taking any responsibility. Their response to my original review was to tell me to reach out to corporate. Corporate then told me to go back to them. Nobody wants to actually take responsibility, they just want to pass you back and forth until you give up. If they're taking private information off of tickets to look customers up personally, what are they doing with the pictures and personal information that's on the devices people bring in? Filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Illinois Attorney General, and the FTC. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR DEVICE OR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
