When I first mentioned I was changing carriers from T Mobile to Verizon I was warned about the…read moresevere drop off in the quality of service I would receive. I should have listened. From my first visit to a Verizon wireless store to transfer my family's phone lines from T Mobile to the new carrier things were wrong. I was told my mother could get her number activated remotely only to find out they disconnected her T Mobile line without starting the Verizon one, and were shipping me a SIM card instead. This was a problem because until her retirement, she worked as an educator in a high-crime area of Glendale. The same thing happened to my fiancée; who thankfully worked from home and was largely unaffected by this snafu. When I went into the corporate Verizon store I was once again lied to by an agent named Jonathan, who told me he would be able to activate the lines over the phone after the SIM cards arrived. I waited, and when the SIM cards arrived I called Jonathan only to learn that I would have to go into the store anyway. After taking time off work to get this done it was finally achieved, a week after it should have been resolved. Unfortunately, the promises Jonathan made to me regarding the discounts and waived activation fees for the lines were just as empty as the rest of the words I've received from Verizon agents. I had to pay an $800 bill just to get my family plan started. Six months later I made the mistake of calling my local Verizon Wireless store to attempt a surprise phone upgrade for my fiancée. The agents I spoke on the phone with, Renzo and Jah, both told me that my local store had the specific iPhone she wanted in stock and would be able to upgrade her phone today. I took time off work and we made a morning of it, but when we arrived at the store they not only did not have the iPhone in stock, it isn't in stock anywhere in the phoenix valley! I spoke with a corporate customer care representative and they confirmed that model is on a 10-day back order, and is not available in Phoenix. This company is inherently dishonest and I would not recommend them even as a last ditch option. If there is a better option for cell service in the city Maricopa please reach out to me. Verizon's best competitor has a family plan waiting for them. If you are on the fence about starting a plan with this company and have another option, I would think again.

DO NOT SWITCH TO VERIZON!!…read more No one knows what they're doing and customer service reps will create more problems when you call in to fix the problems the sales reps created! Switched over from T-Mobile in January to take advantage of the free phones deal. BIG MISTAKE. It's now April and I'm STILL on the phone multiple times a month trying to fix their mistakes. Sales rep opened 4 new lines. I wanted to switch around the colors of the phone and assign them to different numbers on my account. Sales rep says ok, can be only be done once. I say cool. I trust you to handle it. He opens up a temporary line to do these transfers. Says the temp line will fall off once everything settles. It didn't happen. He had me call into Verizon to have it handled. Still unsure if it was?? Fast forward a month, I port in a number to one of the existing lines and add an iPad line. Service rep says, "ok, everything is handled. You'll see a buy-out charge on your account for the number port in, don't worry it will fall off." I say ok, whatever... I don't work for Verizon, I don't know how any of that works. The bill comes, the buy out charge doesn't fall off and is already charged to my Verizon visa on auto-pay. I call in MULTIPLE TIMES, each time no one knows what's happening as if they don't have notes nor read them. Finally, an agent with enough brains told me to dispute the charge with Verizon visa. Ok, done. He says the buy-out charge will be refunded and the service contract (that IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A "BUY-OUT" because it was a number PORT-IN) will be reinstated and everything will be fine. Ok, cool. Once again, I don't work for Verizon, I trust the reps to do their jobs. Fast forward a couple more weeks, the buy out charge is back. My auto-payment has been turned off by Verizon. I call YESTERDAY to have this issue fixed. She says everything is taken care of. I put my auto-pay back on. This morning, I wake up, my auto-pay was unenrolled again and my service is disconnected. I've been on the phone for TWO HOURS so far with about ten different reps... STILL trying to figure out how to fix it. They are telling me they need to reinstate the old phone number before the port-in to fix the agreement and remove the buy-out charge. Ok!? I've been told this about a hundred times by all your reps already. Then they say it's fixed and yet here I am, still on the phone, still waiting for it to be fixed. DO NOT SWITCH TO VERIZON!! Their reps have no idea what the f*@k is going on and you will be stuck with new problems every time you go in for help to fix the last problem. I NEVER had issues like this with T-Mobile and deeply regret ever switching. F*!K VERIZON.

She has enough aggression to be coaching an MMA class instead of selling phones. I walked into the Verizon on 16th Street right at 10:00 AM with my two young sons because my phone was damaged. I was a dream customer, I knew exactly what I wanted and was ready to hand over $1,200 for a new phone. Apparently that wasn't the assignment. Instead of listening to what I was asking for, I got what felt like an infomercial. Apple Watch. Promotions. Different plans. More promotions. More Apple Watch. Meanwhile, I had two little boys slowly turning the store into a daycare. When I politely said I just wanted the phone, the mood shifted faster than Arizona weather. Suddenly I was reminded I didn't have an appointment and she "wasn't prepared." Since when does a Verizon store require a reservation to buy a phone? Is this a steakhouse? I spent seven years in sales, so I completely understand offering promotions and looking for opportunities. But the best salespeople know when to stop talking and start listening. I wasn't there to be convinced to buy something--I was already buying something. I eventually left and drove to the Lincoln location, where they sold me the exact same $1,200 phone in a fraction of the time without making me feel like I was negotiating a hostage release. Hopefully Angelina was just having an off day, because if that's the normal customer experience, Verizon is sending paying customers straight to the competition.

I am new to Arizona and have had Verizon for as long as I can remember on my mom's plan. It was way past time for an upgrade and My mom who is the primary on the account , was visiting from Texas so we went to this store here 4901 E Ray Rd, Ste 110, Phoenix, AZ 85044. This day we took home a new IPad, 2 watches and my new phone. The horrible experience started with the advisor Daniel not being upfront about a set up fee for each device we left with that day! He kept saying an activation fee will be billed and you pay the taxes on all items . We understood that fine . We also accepted the fact that he charged us the 35 additional fee for my phone iPad , my watch and my mom's new watch. However nothing was actually set up in the store. I returned today July 15 to turn in my phone and my mom's watch . I did not have my mom's password for her watch. He kept saying he can't do anything until I get that. I understood that, I was frustrated with my mom for her not answering the phone and causing him to wait since he was talking about he needed to go to lunch. My frustration then began with him and the General Manager who just sat there as Daniel keeps telling me how many days I have left and just come back. I repeatedly said I will wait until I get the password I work long hours and 6 days this week I need to leave it here. So I turn to Brenden who is obviously not general manager material because not once did he say . Hi it's cool I can take care of it you just go to lunch! I had to ask him can't you help me while he goes to lunch . He says I don't know you or who the watch belongs to , I'm like clearly he knows and clearly I'm a customer return items! The disrespect my mom received from Daniel in regards to the fee as if she was complaining about it being too much , it was the fact he never explained it then was degrading about us mentioning it. The nonchalant treatment I experienced today from not just the employee but the manager also is not a good look and I've never been treated that way in any other state I've lived in and got service. I could see if it was close to closing but at like 1 o'clock in the afternoon and me being the only customer in the store as a black woman with 3 white male employees, and I'm being told to just come back . Ten minutes later I got my mom on the phone and left the watch. I will never go back to that store. The whole vibe gives discriminatory , entitled and lazy! What kind of manager wants to actually have someone leave there store with that experience . And if the set up was actually done why did we have to Leave the store with the product we were exchanging! He convinced us to get the extra items and I was happy to have them but my moms been a loyal customer for years but for some rude employee to try to make her feel like she should be happy she got the deals if it's coming from him is unacceptable! I think my mom is owed those set up fees because he didn't fully set up anything I had to finish setting my phone up while mid transfer he sent us out the store and told me to keep it close. So I had to go about our day into the next store trying to finish my phone set up . I'd fly across the country before I step foot in this store again because when they go low , I don't go high! I match the energy times Sent from my iPhone

I waited for about 20 minutes without anyone checking on me, asking if I still needed help, or giving me any explanation. It felt as though I was not important because I was not there to purchase anything, only to get assistance with a device I already own. The situation made me feel uncomfortable and honestly felt discriminatory. I don't know if it was because I am Hispanic, but the way I was treated was not acceptable. My husband has had a Verizon business line for over 20 years, and we have been loyal customers for a long time. We have always had good experiences at other Verizon locations, but this Chandler location provided the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Very poor, very disappointing customer service.

Why do I always feel like I just left a Buy here, Pay here car lot when I've visited a cellular…read morephone store? Today was no different. We went in on the 27th of June to inquire about their "free" iPad deal with additional line. Let me say that 3 different workers that in the same area as us told us, "someone will be right with you" while 2 of those workers were literally doing nothing but left us standing there. We actually left after several minutes and were going to say screw it until one of the workers came outside and said, "I was just getting ready to help you" That was Cody. BTW, we were just there a few months ago and purchased 3 new iPhones and activated 2 additional lines. Anyway, we were told on the 27th that we needed to activate yet ANOTHER phone line in order to get the iPad for "free" even though the iPad has its own cellular line. Ok we got you, we were actually thinking about another phone and line for a business phone so ok let's do it. We go through everything and agree to the new phone and iPad and new lines of service but we were told the iPad needed to be ordered (because we upgraded the size and color) and it would be in in a week and we could not pay for it yet. So the iPad shows up and we get a call to go in and when we get there, the promo had changed so we now had to pay a small monthly fee for the iPad. Wait, we set all this up on the 27th of June. So you're not going to honor the deal we made BEFORE the promo changed? WOW, that doesn't sound like a bait and switch now does it! We said screw it and left without anything just on principle alone, I mean the 5 bucks a month is only like $180 but we should not have to pay that! We placed the order prior to the promo change! We went ahead and went back because we needed the product and don't feel like changing service right now. So we got the iPad and the additional phone and phone line. We are going to be getting charged that extra 5 bucks but I'm going to contact customer service to try and get that fixed and will update once I do. Now the other thing is that Cody also upsold us on getting a service pack which included MAX and Netflix added to our already service of Disney+, HULU+, and ESPN+ which already did not work. He told us he would go in and get those three working and also make sure the two new ones would work so I could cancel my stand alone services I already have to save me money since getting all 5 through them is only $20 which is cheaper than what I currently pay for 3 of them. Well, THEY DON'T WORK! So now I'm being charged the $20 on my bill and I'm still paying the $30 or so I was already paying. I'm telling you, it's like going to one of those shady car lots. Everything about this entire interaction seemed like a scam, right down to the part where they give you a free "last years model" of iPhone if you sign up for an additional line yet they are out of stock on them so they try to pawn off an even older model on you. And listening to everyone else working here deal with their customers makes me feel even more gross, like I need to go home and take a shower. Bad service, bad experience that hasn't even finished yet.
