Do not go here for internet! We set up the new Verizon tower. It appeared to be working but only had 1bar. As soon as cox internet was disconnected my entire house went down Including TV's, cameras, iPads, computers, WiFi and boosters. Phones were spotty, even though we have Verizon as a phone provider. Verizon troubleshooting on the phone could not figure it out. Needless to say, we returned the equipment and promptly hooked back up to cox internet. Our house came back to life immediately. I had a very disappointing experience at this Verizon location in Chandler. I came in simply asking for help connecting my Apple Watch, since I was unable to do it myself. I was told to wait, and that was the only communication I received. While I was waiting, other customers arrived and were helped right away, while I continued to be ignored. I waited for about 20 minutes without anyone checking on me, asking if I still needed help, or giving me any explanation. It felt as though I was not important because I was not there to purchase anything, only to get assistance with a device I already own. The situation made me feel uncomfortable and honestly felt discriminatory. I don't know if it was because I am Hispanic, but the way I was treated was not acceptable. My husband has had a Verizon business line for over 20 years, and we have been loyal customers for a long time. We have always had good experiences at other Verizon locations, but this Chandler location provided the worst customer service we have ever experienced. I had a sales representative lie to me and sign me up for internet and mobile. Realizing that everything they promised was a lie because I was already an existing Verizon customer, I canceled within 24 hours. Verizon has failed to keep to their word and completely cancel the account. I have received charges for services that I never received. I have been into this corporate office multiple times and each time am promised that it will be taken care of. I'm in shock of how incompetent Pablo and the management at the Verizon Chandler store on Frye are at 3401 W Frye. Pablo sold us the incorrect merchandise and made us wait another hour before being served. To top it all off the management tried to gaslight my husband and blame him...even though they tried to sell us the 13" screen protector. He also didn't apply any of the proper promotions. My husband had to call in order to get the order fixed. With management like that, no wonder employees like Pablo are a nightmare. DON'T GO HERE. They aren't competent enough to help anyway. My husband came to this location to upgrade his phone, was placed on a wait for a spanish speaking associate however was forced to be helped by some other man who only spoke english. My husband was inquiring about an upgrade to his phone to which the verizon employee stated "oh sorry, you would have to pay $300 in addition to the trade in, but if you come back tomorrow our system will allow it" They were rushing customers out the doors before their close time also. On what planet would one day make a $300 difference? When I checked on the app it stated his line was eligible for an upgrade, so why when we go into the store do they tell us some bullshit ass story? What it seems like to me is their lazy, pushy sales associates just wanted to close early so they were actively lying to customers. My only regret is that I can't give zero stars. Pablo is the WORST sales rep I have ever dealt with. When he isn't just avoiding work by flirting with another customer, he can't listen worth a damn. Seriously, the flirting was GROSS. This poor woman was basically a captive and was not buying what he was selling, but he kept leaning in closer and saying cheesy shit. It was painful and inappropriate. More crucially, he didn't know Verizon policies, didn't know how to cancel services, brought the wrong devices, and was just generally un-knowledgeable. When I had to return to the store due to him not listening to me, another employee tried to gaslight me and say that I hadn't said what I said. The store tried to claim later that my concerns were my fault and that I must have been unclear, which...of course they would. At one point, Pablo tried to sell me an 11 inch iPad with a 13 inch screen protector, so you tell me who the jackass is. One of the other employees later tried to tell me that hadn't happened, but dude, come on. I was there. It happened. I even anticipated problems and spoke slowly to him, carefully choosing each word. He also had such bad breath that my wife had to keep putting her head down so as not to breathe it in. It was BAD. Additionally, he tried to do all the usual Verizon hard sells on everything (as they all do). But my wife had to tell him FOUR times that she didn't want the god awful ausurion device coverage before he finally backed off. She just kept saying "That's a firm no," over and over again until he shut up. This place is the worst. Oh, also, the cherry on top was that my wife was turning in a device, but because of something something computer something something timing something something, they couldn't process the trade and told us that we would need to leave and come back later to do it, so we had to go kill time and return an hour later...only to be put back into a customer queue. Speaking of the queue...we got there about 11:30. Another couple came in around 12. When I went back to the store at 3, THEY WERE STILL THERE. Around 3:15, another guy came in to replace a phone, and the man with the check-in tablet told him that he would help him file the claim with asurion and then disappeared and didn't help him. When I left around 4, the customer was standing there, fuming. Just insanely bad customer service all around.Incidentally, when I mentioned to the check-in guy that I didn't love being put back into a queue to remedy an employee's mistake, he told me, and I fucking quote, "[Pablo] is with another customer. If you'd like to ask her to yield her spot in line, go ahead." OK. If Verizon doesn't incentivize its employees to provide good service, fine, but that doesn't mean they should be terrible, embarrassing humans. What a completely dreadful store. Edit: I just got home, and I'm still gobsmacked by how awful the experience was. I spent more than three hours at that store today. We bought a phone, a tablet, accessories, added a new line of service, and spent more than $500 in down payments and fees. And I was still treated like a nuisance, at best, and a liar at worst. Oh! And the best part - when I was on the phone with corporate, the rep realized that none of the promotions we were supposed to get were applied properly in-store, so she fixed that and refunded the BS restocking fee that I never should have paid because of THEIR mistake. We received very poor customer service from James, a "solutions specialist." He was rude from the beginning of our interaction when he realized that he wasn't going to be selling us a new phone or any products. His demeanor changed for the worse as soon as he figured out that he wouldn't be making commission off our interaction. He didn't seem like much of a specialist, and he didn't provide a solution! My boyfriend and I went to the store with my boyfriend's dad around 7pm. THERE WAS A 50 MINUTE WAIT! WHAT?!?! Ugh. We just wanted to take my boyfriend off his parents' plan, and take me off my parents' plan, and get our own plan for just for the two of us. So we waited and waited, and then we met James. I guess another employee told him we wanted to upgrade our phones, so he was expecting to sell us something and make commission off the interaction. Once we explained our purpose for the Verizon visit, he sarcastically said, "I wish someone would've told me correctly what we were doing here today." As soon as he knew he wasn't making commission, he immediately was rude and didn't care about providing good service to us. He was unable to remove me from my parents' plan because I am not an "authorized user" and they weren't physically there in front of him. He refused to speak to my parents on the phone to get their permission to make the change. He stated that they would need to call into the call center so it could be on a recorded line. Why is that necessary? I am standing in front of you and my parents could verify the account password over the phone. C'mon James. The kicker is that halfway through the process to set up a new account under my boyfriend's name, James' boss stops by to say goodnight as he was leaving for the evening. The boss said something like "James is my #1 sales guy, always #1 in commission." James replies, "Well, my whole night is shot..." and looks at us. What the heck? Just because you aren't making commission off us doesn't mean you can be rude. I'm especially upset because he said that comment in front of his boss and his boss didn't bat an eye. We had a very poor experience here with the lack of customer service. Overall, Verizon is expensive but they provide excellent coverage so we will continue to use them as our cell phone carrier. However, they need to take a close look at their front-line employees and front-line management and hire people with customer service skills who actually want to provide solutions to customers. read more

Goodness gracious great balls of....horrible and horrific customer service! Never have I ever had such a horrible experience and I can't believe a large corporation like Verizon would allow their employees to treat customers with such blatant disrespect. I went into the store to return the Hum system I bought earlier in the month because it wasn't working properly. I explained how the system wasn't logging my mileage correctly and that was pretty much the only reason I bought it as I'm an Uber driver and it would have been nice to have something track my mileage for taxes. The agent, R.J., asked if I had called customer service to try and troubleshoot it to which I answered no. He then suggested I do that because if I returned it, they were going to charge a $35 restocking fee. WHAT?! I paid $30 for the unit so basically I would have to pay $5 to return it! I asked if there was anything that could be done and he said no and that I could call customer service and see if they would do it. Way to pass the buck. I told him that if they were going to charge a fee then I was going to return my $1,100 iPhone I just bought and switch carriers. The agent showed zero empathy and instead decided to tell me how to make the switch. When I asked for a supervisor, my request was denied stating that there was no one in the store that could waive the fee. Such horrible customer service and talk about blatant disrespect and disregard for me as a customer. I wound up calling Hum customer service and they performed a reset on the device and told me to drive around for 10-15 minutes to activate it. I went outside, drove around for approximately 15 minutes and again, my miles weren't recorded. I then returned back to the store and spoke with Brandon, a different agent. I explained the situation and told him the device was defective and that I didn't think it was fair to charge a $35 fee for a device that was defective. He said the only thing he could do was exchange the item and if I wanted to return it without a fee I'd have to go to the store I bought it...which is in Seattle. Ok, let me hop on a plane to Seattle just to return an item. That seems like a viable option. I told him that I was going to call customer service while I was there so they'd refund the fee. He said, "Don't waste your time, customer service is going to tell you the same thing...it's a company policy yada yada yada." Meanwhile, the previous agent tried to pass the buck to customer service. When I reached customer service, the agent said it was ridiculous they were giving me trouble and credited the $35 fee. My favorite line by Brandon: "Sir, all I'm trying to do is help you..." When I asked how charging a $35 fee was helping me, I got no answer. While I was on the phone, a different agent decided to go around and close the metal window coverings, slamming them down loudly. How rude! I am just flabbergasted by the lack of customer service and blatant disregard and appreciation of me as a customer. I will not be returning to this location nor will I ever buy anything other than a phone from Verizon ever again. This took over an hour of my time and it was all totally unnecessary. The unit I purchased was defective and it's ridiculous to charge a restocking fee since the item won't be restocked. We obviously pay a premium to be a Verizon customer...I could get the same plan and same phone from Sprint for almost half of what I pay Verizon...and Verizon shouldn't treat their customers this way. I understand that people probably complain over restocking and upgrade fees all the time (maybe you shouldn't charge them) but Verizon should empower their employees to waive these fees in certain situations and if they can't...they should be able to call on behalf of the customer to have it waived. read more

It's that simple, sales people and customer service will say anything to get your money and get out of the conservation. Ok, now that you heard my complaining, read on if you're actually interested to know the case. I decided to get a Moto Z Droid, mainly because Verizon was offering them at half price. I actually didn't want to be on a payment plan for the hardware as I needed to be able to change my service in the future. Thus, I wanted to pay off the device, I was told this isn't a problem; I would just need to call in a couple months and pay it 100% off to close the transaction. I then needed to change carriers, so I went ahead and called again to confirm how this payment payoff would work. I was assured that I would be charged the remaining ~$247 against the initial price of $312. This matched my expectation since, of course, one still must pay out their phone and this represents the full remaining balance. Last step, cancel my service...to my shock, I'm charged double. So, after multiple confirmations from different company reps, I'm scammed out of $247. I'm open to suggestions on how to combat fraud in this way, let me know if you have any ideas. One last note, I really am convinced that no person I spoke to actually knew how the billing would work. It's not the employee's fault when then tell the story the company scripts, but then Verizon doesn't follow through. Telling me this isn't a contract on my line when the contract on the phone turns out to be line dependant, is just plain fraud. Especially when asked and answered so directly. read more

I've been to this location twice, and never had the service issues that others have complained about. Perhaps I was lucky? The first time I went, the store was pretty slow and I was helped quickly. I was upgrading to a new phone and the process was quick and painless. The second visit was much busier, but it was Black Friday... so to be expected. We put our names on the list and started to browse. After a while I realized there were only 2 seats in the building; a bit of a design flaw for a business where "wait times" is customary. When we did get helped everything went as planned, albeit a little more slowly than expected. I was getting confused by the plan options presented to me, the salesman would have done well to have a flyer or something I could look at to understand. Lots of people are visual learners, sir! Once we got everything situated and paid for (options to pay in the store or add it to the bill) we left pretty happy, with a new phone, new plan, and all the right things accomplished. read more

Usually I don't post about going into verizon because let's face it, most the time it's like the MVD-tons of customers and a really long wait. My old phone, yes an iPhone 5S was finally going out. I was worried because I didn't have my phone backed up since January. That's when the great customer service started. José patiently listened as I frantically told him my issues while my phone was about to die for good. He took his time and worked with me, told me it was going to take a little bit if I wanted to wait for the backup. I said that's perfectly fine. I currently have boot on my foot and he offered me a chair and water which was awesome-definitely went above and beyond.
