Little T Burger & fries

First visit T-Ray's snd it was a pleasant surprise. Small hometown feel, friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. I had a Little T-Burger and fries and it was fresh and tasted awesome. If you want a good burger, this is your place.

Many locals recommended T-Rays, and we can see why! We came for breakfast and wished we also had time to return for lunch. Simple breakfast items with a homemade touch! Not pictured were biscuits which are a must have here; If you stop by, just try them at least!

Food was fresh and very tasty. Will recommend for a quick lunch. Outside and inside seating and the service was fast and friendly. This local gem is something to behold.

Honestly one of the best diners I've eaten in !!! The food was fantastic... The preparation was really good and the portion size was generous. I love how the place has been set in an old gas station. You better get cinnamon rolls early because when they sell out, there are no more and they are fabulous. The staff is very friendly, helpful and seem happy to be there. This is a don't miss if you're in the Fernandina Beach area.

There is a server that runs everybody's food to them. You order at the counter. Please make sure you tip so that your brother gets

This place may be a greasy spoon to some people and for the hipsters, it will be a cool spot to take a selfie while on the island. This place is a local iconic spot for the every day man. As a native Floridian and Southern, are these places are few and far between these days. The average guest I would say when I was there this past Monday was about mid 60s. You can tell some people had money and then some people were describing a lunch in the middle of their blue-collar day. This place does close at two we got there at 1:15 and there was 10 people in line ahead of us. We went with their special which is a burger. We got the smaller quarter pound burger, which was more than enough once you added all the toppings that they suggest the fries were perfection. They were thick and crispy at the same time. Clearly they are fried but not greasy. I saw there Monday special of fried fish go by and I wanted it so bad but I had to start with the burger . Every day has a different special . I could not believe how fast they get your food out. The kitchen is literally behind the register, and they are hustling. Please make sure you bring cash tip to leave at the counter. Your food will be brought to you, but there is no tableservice per say. Bring quarters for the miss Pac-Man game which is $.50 . And I almost drove past this place because I was looking for a diner but it's a literally a gas station that looks like a closed in the late 70s and nothing has been altered . When you arrive, all the tables will be packed, but because they have a high turnover due to getting their food out so fast, don't worry you'll get a spot . They serve Mr. Pib and Pepsi products with free refills. Cannot wait to go back. Parking is at a premium. We got really lucky. This place is a hidden gem.

Sorry, this is the worse burger I have ever bitten into. Its a no from me!

This is a tough review for me as i know T-Rays has been noted as the best burger in the area. Well this burger was so bad that I spit out the first bite and was unable to eat it. Why oh why you would season the meat like that?? What the heck. I cant even describe it. I guess I just love a good burger with simple salt and pepper, and smashed on a seasoned flattop. We also ordered the shrimp platter, it was good but the more we ate, the more we saw the huge black poop vein. I know this is safe to eat, but I prefer to have my shrimp cleaned before I eat it. And who puts pickles in coleslaw, they do. UGH! I will leave this place to the locals.

Luv these local places. Fast and friendly service. Very affordable $30 for 2 sandwiches, drinks and fries. A bit too salty for me but friend luv it.

We started with the cheesy bread, which was super flavorful and the perfect appetizer to share. For mains, our table tried the shrimp scampi, short rib, and redfish--all of them were excellent. The shrimp scampi was buttery and delicious, the short rib was incredibly tender, and the redfish was cooked perfectly with great flavor. A big shoutout to Holly, our waitress, who made the night even better. She was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations without being overbearing. Anyways, our server was pretty friendly, and we can't complain about the ambience. Here's what we tried: -Crab Dip: 10/10 - SOOO YUMMY! Perfect crab dip, so rich, so flavorful. -Lobster Bisque: 2/10 - This wasn't bisque, it wasn't even chowder. It was so thick and had no real taste to it. -Goat Cheese Burger: 9/10 - creamy, goat cheese was the star, overall delicious. fries were good too! -Lobster Ravioli: 7/10 - disappointing, to be honest. Sauce was great but the ravioli itself kind of tasted like frozen lobster ravioli. -French dip Sandwich: 6/10 - super salty, very savory, but very little depth of flavor. Could've used something zingy. -Chocolate Cake: 9/10 - no one can argue with a chocolate cake. I mean come on! I loved that it came out cold and dense.

Our server was kind, but not overly friendly (I don't want a performance, you know?). And our food came out maybe 10 minutes after we ordered. We were early enough to order the Sunrise Special and the egg portions seemed surprisingly large! The grits were lovely. The bacon was not the best, it's thin cut (reminiscent of microwave bacon) and I prefer it to be thick. I ordered the eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it. The hollandaise could have had a touch more seasoning, but the texture was great. I actually preferred the Canadian bacon that came on it than the regular bacon that came with the Sunrise Special. It was perfectly salty and crisp. Oh! And it came with crab meat on it which was a special twist I didn't expect but really appreciated. The potatoes are cut into large chunks, but they are well seasoned and cooked nicely. I can't stand when a potato is undercooked, but this place didn't have that problem. And the cherry on top was the water. Florida locals may not be bothered by the ocean-y taste that comes with their drinking water, but for our family it is something that's hard to get past. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this water tasted as if it was filtered and the ice is that soft kind that's pleasant to chew. This might seem like a silly thing to add, but it really stood out to me and I'm grateful for it.

We started with a bottle of Albariño, caviar, and I had the soup, which was absolutely out-of-this-world delicious. For my entrée, I selected the Valentine's preset menu, which included the soup, a perfectly cooked NY strip, and a dessert that was outstanding. I actually told them that dessert needs to be added to the regular menu -- it was that good, even if it was just a one-night special. My husband ordered the scallops and was very pleased -- he said we definitely need to come back again. It's definitely a place to celebrate something special.
