Cashier goes to ring up my credit and says "Corporate refused the refund because they did not capture my phone or email info." Manager said to call the 800 # that's all he could offer . Went to Flat Out Auto and they literally gave me the correct part for free! See the difference here? Real folks who see solutions vs corporate employed shoulder shruggers. Won't happen again . Don't bother with the canned response either unless you have a remedy.

Typical selection of what you would expect at this Advance Auto Parts store, but only 2 stars for…read morethe mediocre service. Went in and there were 2 guys at the counter talking and they saw me standing there, had to say the "excuse me" to get their attention. I asked about a part I needed and one of the guys was like it's on isle 3 and went back to talk to his buddy. It would have been more helpful if he had showed me where on isle 3 it was, instead I had to go search it out. After finding what I needed and going back to the cashier I had 3 different workers walk by and looked at me before I finally got one to ring me up. AAP needs to work on their customer service skills.

Straight forward and direct…read more I've worked in the auto business for 20+yrs, and I've worked with some shady folks in those years. I've heard every line, and just about every excuse for not following through. I've dealt with junkyard and salvage yards hundreds of times, and these guys have been there for me multiple times (in both the old and new location). I needed an engine for my personal car this go'round, and of the two people I spoke with on the phone, they both genuinely seemed to care about what I was looking for, and when I needed it by. There was some confusion over one engine this, and another engine that, but that's because there was a communication gap between phone calls, and HPC cannot be blamed for this. Donor arrived at their site, then they pulled the engine and had me an engine the same day the donor arrived, and then a phone call to let me know it was ready for pickup. Cool. Being an old technician, I do all my own work, so I just needed them to source the engine this go'round. The mileage was written on the valve-cover, and the VIN plate was still attached so I could do some background check on the car it came out of. Neat. My only gripe is that the parking lot can be tough to get in and out of when they are busy, but that happens at every business, so it's no biggie. I'll be back when I need something else.

Horrible customer service! We ordered a battery online for pickup and installation at the store…read more After we show up, the man working tells us to "Remove the battery and bring it in." We asked him wasn't he supposed to do that if he's installing the other? He shrugged and said he'd "take a look." He glanced at it and told us that he "couldn't" do it. We cancelled the order and went to the next Advance Auto, who DID remove the battery and installed the new one. This location was just being lazy. I won't shop here again.
