As I was about to sell or trade in this vehicle, I did not want to put much money into repairs. Jonathon was able to help me find an comparatively inexpensive battery and said he would test my old one while I took the new one home to try since the charge and test could take up to 45 minutes. Within minutes of leaving, he called me and said the old one registered as bad as soon as he put it on their charger. The new battery worked, and so I called back as he suggested so he could refund my core charge for the old battery. He was with another customer at the time but called back about 10 minutes later and took care of the refund without my having to return all the way to the store.

The condition of the engine effectively required extensive rebuilding. Despite clear documentation, the total refund issued was only $375. The final cost, including parts and labor, exceeded $10860. Despite the plethora of bad reviews, I took a chance and purchased it. It was shipped out from Oregon en route to my place in Virginia on March 23rd. Two weeks later when I checked the shipping status it had only made it to Utah. I called Atlas and they explained that there were "driver issues" and that they would be resolved shortly. Another three weeks passed (now over a month from when it was shipped out) and it was still only in Missouri. I once again called Atlas, and they told me that it was actually scheduled to be delivered to my mechanic by 4pm that day. I informed my mechanic that it would finally get there that day. Four days later my mechanic called and said nothing had been delivered. I once again called Atlas and they told me that the truck had been in an accident all auto parts were destroyed. Huh?????? What????? Accident??? All auto parts destroyed??? Made ZERO sense. They did refund my money, but what a complete waste of a month and a half and I still don't have a running car. STAY AWAY!!!

Less than 1000 miles on it since the initial repair it still has a coolant leak and they are not able to get it repaired correctly at all. We ended up having it taken to another shop who is able to do the work and is more knowledgeable. Jason w-MTR tried to tell use that they didn't touch one side of the engine, but yet they charged us for 8 injectors. While in their shop one of their mechanics ended dropping metal spring or something down into the engine while they were working on it. Not sure if they ever got that out and after all this, now we find out we have cracked heads and need a new motor. They closed the hood on something and bent the hood. We will be taking them to court over all this. Now we are looking at 15K in repairs after the monkeyed it all up, Don't take anything to have them work on it. I am tired of the excuse's and delays dealing with them.

I had issue after…read moreissue during the repair process on a 7.3 with low miles, they replaced part after part (or so they claimed). the issue was not fixed. They passed the blame to their part provider (injectors they got where bad two times). They had my truck for 7 weeks and finally it appeared to be fixed almost $10k later. Fast forward to when the injectors (they claim they put on this truck) are just out of the 12k mile warranty and it is the same issues all over again, almost identical. I refused to go back to them after the less than speedy or professional performance prior. I went to another diesel repair shop (with all my receipts and documents in hand to show all the work). They ran diagnostics on it and said bad #8 injector and a relay. They actually called me to come see the original injectors in the truck. According to them there is no way for sure 4 of them have ever been pulled from the truck. Here is a even bigger sign. When I first bought this used truck, the shop I just had do this work replaced the #6 injector and it was different than the other 7 in the truck. So I now know I was scammed by this place for thousands of dollars. Never again will I go to MTR, I will make sure everyone knows this story. Shame on them. I see in another review I am not alone. I wish more folks that had an issue would take the time to post, it would help others from getting scammed. By the way truck is running like a champ with the #8 replaced.

Don't you just love when your check engine light comes on out of no where while you're driving on…read morethe road? Well, that happened to me recently and with my baby girl in the car. Normally, I wouldn't be so quick to take action, but with this new precious cargo in my backseat, I can't take any chances. I was almost home and remembered this AutoZone is right in the Publix shopping center I always go to so I thought, why don't I just go see if they have a code reader so I can at least get the code to help solve the problem. Or at least get to step one and help me know what the costs are going to be. When I walked in, no one was behind the counter but a gentleman quickly came over and asked how he could help. I told him my check engine light just came on and asked if he could plug in a code reader for me, and before I could even finish my question, he had already pulled it from the drawer below him and was ready to help. We walked out to my car in the parking lot, and he got everything all connected and quickly read off the code to me. He even wrote it on a post-it note for me to make sure I had it, which I then took a photo of in case I lost track of the post-it. I asked him what I owe, and he quickly told me I don't owe a thing, and to be safe. The sweetest guy and great experience!! I will certainly be back here for any future auto needs!

I told Cecil what was going on and he told me he had a duralast gold (new, not remanufactured) waiting for me at the store. He remembered my name when I came in 30 minutes later and swapped the alternators, the difference was about $230 in price for the new alternator, but he didn't charge me anything! I was shocked and really appreciated that he understood the situation. I went into the original location I got the two prior and they told me they'd charge me the difference for the next best (remanufactured) alternator plus a small discount (10% ) so I would've still been paying out of pocket for one. Needless to say, I know what location and who I will be getting my parts from. Cecil, thanks for helping me keep my wife and daughter safe.
