The job was challenging because I'd worn them cuffed and wanted the new chainstitch hem in the area that was frayed from cuffing. They nailed it and I wore them for another 2.5 years. Then i got a pair of their house-made jeans in the new Switcher cut. All their online sizing information was perfect, and the jeans fit just right. They are very well-built and a bargain at the price. My only regret is that I've not visited the shop, due to living a 3-4 hour drive north of the LA area. Today is Chinese New Year, and we were heading to a nearby temple. She repeatedly referred to it as a "church" and was very dismissive and aggressive in her tone. My dad was parked in a handicap spot and does have a valid handicap placard displayed, so that made the situation even more upsetting. It felt unnecessary and targeted, especially since there were plenty of open spaces in the lot. There's a way to speak to customers with respect, and this wasn't it. The whole interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Definitely not the kind of treatment anyone should receive.
