Had two old tractor tires for my small Toro WheelHorse tractor that were leaking air. These guys fixed one with a new valve stem and tried to repair the second as it had a hole in the tire. Tried to repair that with a plug but tire was too old. I'll need two new tires but for now these guys got me back in business. I will return and spread the word. They have a really good selection of slightly used tires that will save you significant $$$ especially in today's bad economy. read more

I needed new tires on the cheap (old car, buying a new one soon, but not yet!) and I found this place via Google. I took the day off of work to make the trek north (I work in Boston and live in metrowest- not local to Salem!). I drove by the address listed about 3 times and all I could see was a small plaza with "For Lease" signs on the windows. I had called the shop earlier in the morning to confirm they had the kind of tires I needed in stock, so I knew they hadn't closed. I pulled over and called them and they assured me they were there at that address... Their storefront does not face the street, FYI! So, I knew I definitely needed one of my rear tires replaced, but I had heard differing opinions on the other rear tire. I told this to the two guys at T Tire and one came out and checked out my tires for me. I told him I was only going to have the car until Fall at latest and I just needed tires to get me through until then. He confirmed that the one bad tire needed to be replaced ASAP, but he told me the other wasn't great, but that I would definitely be safe to drive on it the next few months. I was totally at his mercy and I truly appreciate that he didn't take advantage of me. 5 star customer service! Getting the tire on was fast and they were very friendly. The tire they put on my car for under $40 installed and balanced looks brand new and I haven't had any issues whatsoever with vibrations like other Yelpers have. Came in after work when I noticed my car was driving funny in the morning and noticed my hub cap looked really beat up. I didn't know where to go or what to do and I found this place was 3 miles from me so I chanced it after seeing reviews. I didn't call I just showed up with lots of hopes they would be able to help since they were closing in about 2.5 hours. They got me In immediately, updated me with everything that they found and asked me if anything they were going to do was okay. Didn't pressure me at all or push any unnecessary sales (or even necessary ones they made sure it was all stuff I wanted to do and was okay with!) even though it was very obvious I know absolutely nothing about cars, informed me thoroughly. Prices were SO GOOD. Got an oil change, two new tires, all tires rotated, alignment checked, and a new hub cap and I paid HALF of what I have previously paid for just two new tires at a different places. I was referred to T Tire by the guys at Spiro's Energy in Salem, MA. They told me I needed to replace a tire with a broken belt & instead of charging me the $120 for a new tire from them + the $25 installation fee, they said I should check this place out since they usually had good, used tires for around $35. I appreciated the honesty. After they looked at my car at T Tire, they told me I actually needed 2 tires. The belt was broken on one and the other was dry and liable to crack and blow up. They found me two used tires - one for $50 and another, which ended up not working. I had to buy a new tire for the second ruined one, but they only charged me $110 for it. Altogether, I paid $160 for one used tire, one new tire, and installation (way cheaper than two new tires from Spiro's). While I was waiting, the owner (I think he was the owner anyway), Rabih, made friendly conversation. He asked me if I went to Salem State and when I said no, he asked me what college I'd graduated from. When I told him he responded that it was a great, albeit expensive, school. I agreed and told him that I'd had scholarships and a ton of student loans. I also mentioned that I now work at a library (which isn't a super high paying gig). After some waiting, Rabih told me that they'd discovered that I also needed an alignment. But he didn't push or prod or even suggest that I do it right then (so I knew it wasn't an effort just to get me to shell out more money). As it was lunchtime, he also ordered food for himself from a local restaurant that he owns - White Dove - and offered to get me a free falafel sandwich (which was delicious!) and a soda. He brought me the sandwich and left me to enjoy it by my happy lonesome. Instead of taking advantage of a 20-something girl who clearly knew nothing about cars, he really paid attention to what it was I needed and could afford and he seriously helped me out. He told me he has 3 daughters, so I think he was just hoping that someone would show them the same kindness some day. So really, I paid $160 for one (good) used tire, one new tire, installation, and a seriously tasty lunch. It was an excellent first visit & if I ever have tire needs in the future, I know where to go. read more

Just bought snow tires for the winter from here. Very nice people, quick install. Tires are available on a first come first served basis. I came out with 4 decent tires and installation for $119. Not sure if it's because they're just unevenly worn used tires, or they just failed to balance them - but I'm getting a lot of steering vibration at highway speeds. I'm going to take the car somewhere else for a balancing and I'll report back. Can't really complain too much because it's not like T Tires charged me for balancing anyway. read more

I explained what happened with the tires, about the leak, etc., and told her I was bringing the tires back and I wanted a refund because we needed to buy new tires. She replied that they are used tires. She then told me that the owner would be there at 5pm and then she hung up on me. Run, don't walk, from this place. read more

I don't know if this place changed hands or what, but when I went to the website, I notice they now seem to be selling new tires. I had tried them before, but have never used them cause they never seem to have my tire size, but at least they would say they were getting another used tire shipment later in the week and check back then. Now when I called to get tires for my wife car, he immediately says he does not have that size in a used tire. (its a much more common size than my car, so I was surprised he didn't have it) but instead he has new tires in that size at supposedly a wholesale price and never mentioned waiting for another shipment of used tires. (I could get it cheaper at a more established tire shop) I just felt it was a bit like bait and switch, I'm sure they make a better profit selling new. Also they need to update their website, in one part they list tire disposal as part of their $35 fee, then another they say it $2.50. Which is it? read more

I am very happy with this place. The two guys working there were friendly. I called to make sure they had the correct tire size, and they told me to stop by any time. As soon as we got there, they started working on my tires, and they had no problem accepting the voucher I purchased through Yelp for $119. They did balance the tires. The only thing was one of the four tires we got was a different brand, but I was OK with this as they are used tires. I will be back when it is time again. read more

They quoted 25 min before my car would be taken back for 4 tires. 45 min later, 2 other people with smaller jobs (1 tire and 1 plug) who arrived after we did, were taken back first. Superb, I love this place too..my tires in stock,in and out of fast about 25 minutes, but well worth the wait if they get busy. The tires that go on my car are 18",most regular tires are 15"-16" but the ones that fit my cost $155 each and mounting ,balancing cost big bucks. I hope more people look this company up when short on cash and want quality tire repairs and to finish the place is run buy a family..(brother does the work and the sister runs everything else) and the are very knowledgeable on thier stuff .I'm sorry to forget their names. read more

Its a great store for cheap tires; the guy here really aims to please. It will be hard to find used tires as they only get a limited shipment with limited quality in at a time. highly recommend this guy for buying new tires (no warranty ...but who really needs it) spent like $300 to replace all 4 with brand new Firestones.
