Oolong tea with cream too watered down, both cream and the tea itself. Basil popcorn chicken too salty, barely any basil leaves. I will take an extra 10-15 mins drive to dublin if i want to go to t4. Okay, small caveat. I recently moved up here from LA county, so three stars isn't too bad for boba. It means it's average and the boba itself has good consistency ("qq" and all). I wasn't too happy that they didn't have what I normally view as egg pudding (they had some... really yellow pudding instead--could be egg pudding), but hey, what I had (earl grey milk tea) was good. I like that you have options as to sweetness and ice level. I don't think toppings cost extra. Service was a bit slow. In Modesto, I can really only compare this place to the boba place close to Costco (are there any others? I need to explore more.). It's comparable, which makes sense that they would have this restaurant this far east. It's too bad it's not closer, because I'm not sure I'm willing to drive out to this place for other selections. In any case, I rated it a three, because I just got back from visiting my parent's place, but it's probably actually an above average 4.0 in this area (given that a three star is average to the location and type of restaurant). read more

My go-to drink has shifted to the Snow Globe milk tea (it has both regular large boba and white agar pearls and used to be called the Panda), though I will occasionally switch it up. This place is actually so cute. Just the vibe and ambience is really quirky and fun. I was in and out but I'll definitely come with friends and sit next time. The service was eh. The cashier wasn't too friendly. She wasn't rude, but she wasn't super nice either. Also they take their super sweet time making drinks. I ordered a taro milk tea and it was delicious. Taro is my go to drink and I order it anywhere I find a boba shop, the bay area included. And this may be one of the best taros I've had. (my loyalties are to a different mom and pop shop). Nice option for bubble tea treat. Fast and friendly service. Selection is a bit on the small side (as far as jellies, boba and the like) but nice variety of drinks. This place WAS good when it was new. Now, it lacks consistency because I went on a Saturday for my usual oolong milk tea and the boba was sweet, which is fine. I went again on a Tuesday and the boba was lacking in sweetness. It has happened before where the boba was not sweet at all...Same issue with the popcorn chicken. It was good at first, but after eating it a couple of times, it was lacking in seasoning. HORRIBLE service. Came in at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan 17, 2018. There were three girls standing behind the counter, NOBODY greeted us, said one word or even acknowledged us. Every time I come to this place they're out of something. Today I came in and they were out of 5 different types of pearls and they were also out of large cups. That's just ridiculous. Sounds like horrible management who can't properly order and plan ahead. Their service is absolutely unaccommodating. For example, I asked for for 100% ice in my drink and there were about four ice cubes. I asked if I could please have more ice added to my drink, and was met with rolling eyes and refusal. So I asked for a separate cup of ice (clearly they are annoyed at this point with me) and begrudgingly they gave it to me. This is not the first time either I or my family have been met with service like this at T4, but it will be the last.
