I would have definitely given it more stars for the food but the service was beyond horrible. Valentina was about server and from the very beginning she had the worst attitude. We went to brunch, just a group of girls, and decided to try this place. I had it on my list of places to go to for some time and was really looking forward to it. The restaurant is smaller than I expected but was really nice inside. There is a. Ice outdoor area that we said maybe we could try another time when the weather allowed... maybe not. There was only one other table dining while we were. The server came and took our order but never asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered the Guacamole and Aguachile de Pescado to start. We asked several times before ordering if the fish was cooked and was told every time that it was. The fish came uncooked. The Guacamole came with a large chip and a half, there were 4 of us dining. We had to order extra chips which only came with 3 chips and unbeknownst to us, it cost $3. For the meals, we ordered the Caesar Salad with shrimp, Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, TABÚ Tacos but only with shrimp, and the Steak and Eggs. The food was really good! We ordered Other than the uncooked fish, there was no complaints about the rest of the food. Everything was really delicious. We even ordered the churros and they were amazing. When the server returned to take the food, we told the server that the fish was uncooked and she kept telling otherwise. Out of the entire appetizer there were 2 pieces missing. The server then told us she couldn't remove it from the bill. We asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager. She appeared to be the only server. Valentina was so rude, she walked away from us after rolling her eye and started talking about us to someone behind the counter. If not for her and her attitude, we would have definitely returned. While the food was pretty good, the experience was not.

Delicious tres leche, flan not good at all!

To start service was great and drinks were delicious. Started with the guacamole which was excellent, followed by steak shrimp tacos and Baja fish taco both very good. I had the branzino for my entrée, which was flaky, soft, and very flavorful with a cucumber salad on the side. My friends ordered the skirt steak which was good, but the refried beans were served on top of the steak. Personally I think that should be on the side unless noted on the menu. For dessert we had tres leches and flan. Tres leches was a big hit! Unfortunately the flan was not good, but the staff handled it very well. They replaced it right away and the manager came over to apologize and explained they're working with a new chef. He even brought over a complimentary creamy coffee liqueur shot which was a nice touch. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely be back, especially in the summer as we were told that's where their larger seat area is. The space inside is on the small side.

Came here with my aunt last Thursday and it was great! We came around 7pm and it wasn't super busy which was nice. Noticed they had an outdoor bar area that wasn't quite open yet but will definitely check out in the summer! The pistachio guacamole was absolutely amazing, I've never had anything like it. I honestly would go back JUST for that. I only got margaritas to drink and they also were amazing. Only stopped in for some drinks and snacks but will definitely come back!

A nice date spot for some good food & drinks. We tried the Pescado Zarandeado which comes with torillas and a fresh salad. You can make some tacos with that. The Tampiqueña also amazing. Overall food was very good and refreshing. The Waiter was very friendly and serviceful. They have nice decor and outdoor seating. Make reservations if you plan to go late as it fills up quickly and happy hour at the bar 4-6pm Wed-Fri.

What a beauty! Came to celebrate, left a fan. It was empty on a Saturday at 6pm. However it worked in our favor because we got all the attention. Our Server was great and we had the whole beautiful backyard to ourselves for pictures. It felt like a beautiful oasis. Food was yummy. Tacos, corn, drinks, rice, guacamole. All tasty but need just some salt. Only thing we all stated it needed. Will be back hopefully in the summer when I know it gets lively.

My favorite Mexican restaurant used to be down the block from here, but if Ajay Devgn is having an affair with Tabu, then I let myself cheat on For All Things Good with Tabú. The prices are high, the automatic gratuity gives off a certain impression, and the Tulum-esque ambiance serves to remind me of perhaps my least favorite geography of Mexico. But the cocktails are nonetheless well-executed, and the guacamole with a bit of charred queso fresco was excellent. It may not be my vibe, but Tabú could be your vibe the next time you need a solid patio for a bout of daydrinking in South Willy B.

Tulum vibes run strong at this visually stunning Brooklyn restaurant , where lush greenery, moody lighting, and a thoughtfully curated aesthetic transport diners far from the borough's bustle. A promising start--courteous front-of-house staff were accommodating despite a fully booked Resy schedule, and worked to seat us promptly and in a desirable spot. Drinks set the tone, with the Embrujo and Tulum Breeze impressing both visually and on the palate; the tamarind in the Breeze was particularly well-balanced, and the Embrujo offered a sweet, fig-forward profile with a satisfying kick. The beet salad appetizer shone--vibrant, well-prepared, and generously portioned--while the guacamole, though fresh and accompanied by perfectly crisp chips, fell flat flavor-wise, lacking the expected punch of herbs, citrus, and seasoning. Unfortunately, the evening took a nosedive when, over 90 minutes after placing our order, we were informed that the kitchen had run out of food--yes, entirely out. No alternative entrées were offered, and the meal ended with complimentary drinks and only one appetizer on the bill. While the gesture was appreciated, the experience left much to be desired, especially considering we had ordered entrées alongside our starters. A beautiful space with potential and a strong cocktail menu, but kitchen operations and communication need refinement. A return visit might be in the cards for me because I really want the full experience --but I would hope the back-of-house gets in sync with the front.

Ambience is elegant and classy. Service was speedy and attentive. Food was delicious. Esquites was so tasty & hanger steak was juicy even though I order it well done. Drinks were strong! I tried the Embrujo & Flor; both delicious but a little strong for my personal taste. Highly recommend.

This is supposed to be upscale Mexican. Pricing and portions and taste are all terrible. The restaurant is well decorated but the portions were small except for the chicken enchilada which was all shredded dry white meat with a slop of salsa verde. Staff was not desirable only beautiful servers.

Great experience.. the establishment is so pretty and lush. They have a great outdoor spot but obvious it was too cold.. I had a great night with my cousin who brought me here. Elevated mexican food, cool drinks and lovely host. We had the tartar to start, which was fresh and so tasty. The glaze on bottom was different and elevated the dish. The guac was cool, 6/10. The maduro with cream and crumbled cojita cheese was 12/12. It's the epitome of comfort food. THE FISH TACOS!! Stop and listen... they were 12/10 the best ever WOW.. a must !! The enchiladas were good too but they were cold when it got to table. I am giving them a pass on this because everything else was so good. Need to go back and try some other staples.

Good food!! I enjoyed everything that we ate, from the guacamole, fish tacos and tuna tostadas for appetizer to the Branzino for entree. The tostadas were a hit at the table and a must try. The sangria was a nice fruity, not too sweet balance of wine and fruits. My only disappointment was that we went on a Saturday night, hoping to see/hear from live entertainment, as advertised online and on their website. But for some reason, Carlos, our server, said they did not schedule any entertainment for the night, but did not elaborate why. It would've been nice to know as we chose Tabu with that in mind. Overall it was a good dinner night and will return to enjoy the full Tulum experience.

Vibey interiors, tasty food (pork tacos were the standout, skirt steak was pretty tasty, tres leche cake was so-so), strong cocktails. Wasn't packed on a Saturday night. Music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. Final bill was quite expensive. A nice night out but I don't think we'll be back.

Great experience terrible server and terrible service. The waiter was on her phone more than taking orders/talking to the customers. Ordered a bunch of drinks and waited over an hour to finally get them. Food took nearly 2 hours. Unacceptable.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive all the way through to the bar. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of seating options and a great atmosphere. We tried the recommended octopus, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. The sangria was okay, though it wasn't the experience I was hoping for. The empanadas satisfied the craving, and the taquitos with their dipping sauce were definitely one of the highlights. We also ordered a few mixed cocktails and several of them were very good. Where this place really shines is the nightlife. The dance floor had a great vibe, and the DJ absolutely killed it by the end of the night. While the food was a mixed experience for me, I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere, drinks, music and overall nightlife.

The Ambience: The physical space and decor were very nice and well-designed. The Bad: The Gatekeeping vs. The Reality: The restaurant tries hard to pose as a high-caliber, fine-dining establishment--even going so far as to request that guests remove their hats and sunglasses before entering. However, this "elite" illusion was immediately shattered when we were welcomed by a hostess aggressively chewing gum like a cow. If you're going to enforce a strict, upscale dress code, the front-of-house staff should match that level of professionalism. The Vibe Dissonance: While the decor was lovely, the music and the DJ completely clashed with the overall look and feel of the venue. It felt confused about what kind of establishment it wanted to be and loud. The Food & Drinks: Mediocre: The food was just okay, and the drinks were simply alright. Nothing stood out or justified the high-end posturing. The Verdict: It was an interesting experience to try once, but between the mixed signals and average menu, we wouldn't go back.

Especially when the weather is nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I started with the tostones and guacamole and empanadas. I've had tostones plenty of times but never with guac and it was pretty good. Thin Tostones paired with fresh guacamole. Then I had the cheeseburger and oxtail empanadas. They fry them fresh and the fillings were tasty but small in size. Sadly they sold out of the elote. For the mains I got the jerk chicken taco, salmon taco, oxtail tacos, jerk chicken burrito, and Mexican burger. My guy tried the salmon taco and I had the jerk chicken. That was a bit spicy. The oxtail tacos were juicy with a crispy tortilla and decent amount of oxtail. I seen a jerk chicken burrito on the menu so I had to check it out. It's packed and that jerk chicken was spicy how I like it. You can even order it as a bowl. The Mexican burger is your classic thick burger but they spice it up with guacamole, pica de gallo, and sauce to give it a Mexican twist. Shout out to Amare and Bairam. They were very helpful.
