Came in for dinner a couple weekends ago. We made a reservation and I'm glad we did because it was quite crowded. We got the tabla kofta, chicken biryani and naan. The kofta was so yummy, especially the sauce! The biryani came with so much food and was pretty yummy! The naan was so fluffy! Next time, I'd love to try the butter chicken. Overall a great spot to try!

I met family at Tabla while in Atlanta for dinner. My brother in law is Indian and so I trusted that he picked this place because it was good and it was. They are mainly vegetarian so all we ate was vegetarian. Everything was delicious. The neighborhood was cute and it was easy to find parking. The staff was so nice and the setting was modern. I want to come back and try meat options.

Tabla is an exquisite dining place for Indian food. There is indoor and outdoor seating that is decorated in an elegant manner. In addition, there is a bar which is not common in Indian restaurants. We got there a bit late so we ordered takeout which arrived quickly. We ordered Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, and Palak Patta Chaat. The Mango Lassi was very creamy and smooth! I enjoyed dipping the Garlic Naan into the Chicken Tikka Masala, which had a nice kick to it as well asked for medium spice level. The chicken was easy to bite through and the sauce was delicious. I also enjoyed the Palak Patta Chaat, which were essentially fried spinach fritters. They came with some sauces to dip them in. Overall, I liked Tabla and I would come here again to actually dine-in as the food was great (although a bit pricey).

I think this is the best Indian menu and restaurant in Atlanta!! I've been a few times now and I'm never disappointed. The ambience is modern, but could very well be romantic. The service is usually really good and they make excellent suggestions. I have tried things with sweet potato, pomegranate and various spices. Everything is delicious! The one thing I always suggest is the Naan! They have a truffle naan and it's beyond delicious. I definitely recommend this place!

I loved the sleek decor of this restaurant and customer service was great. I absolutely enjoyed the Mango Mojita ($6)! It was spicy but also sweet. I could've probably drank three glasses of this beverage in one setting, but I'm sure that would've been detrimental to my health due to all the sugar it had! I ordered the Lamb Biryani ($26) for my main course. I would've been fine with the small portion had the biryani tasted amazing, but it was lacking flavor, including salt and any sort of spiciness. This was the most disappointing lamb biryani I've ever had.

What a great experience! We loved every minute of our experience at Tabla.. We started with the cauliflower appetizer that was definitely a winner from the start. It's a must try. We ventured out and tried what our server recommended and it was a homerun also. I always get paneer tikka masala, but he recommended paneer lababdah (sp?). And I enjoyed every bite of it! I forgot what my husband's dish was called, but that was really yummy too. I Already loved the modern and well decorated ambience from the minute i stepped in. It felt very upscale. But it was the experience with Our server Mantesh who was absolutely attentive throughout the whole evening that still kept it warm and very comfortable. Needless to say, we will be back!

This small spot is really great! It's taken us far too long to get here. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. It is pretty small inside so get a reservation if you're definitely wanting to sit at a table, but we grabbed a bar seat at prime time on the weekend. The cocktails were also very good.

Excellent Indian food. We were visiting from Los Angeles where good Indian food is in abundance. Found this on Yelp near our hotel. Started with a refreshing Rupee Indian lager. So refreshing on a summer night. Then moved onto the garlic and naan. The naan was perfectly baked and seasoned. I could've just ate that all night. Then we also ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb shank. The sauces for each were amazing. The chicken and lamb were cooked just right. Nice and soft. Just perfect to go with the Indian white rice. The service was also outstanding. The waiter was very helpful and constantly checking in on whether we needed anything. The indoor seating area has a nice ambience, but we preferred to sit outside where the weather was perfect. So glad we found this place. Will definitely come back next time we stay at this hotel.

First time at this location. Parking was in the lot behind the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. Modern decor and white tablecloth. Service was friendly and prompt. We were pleased. We ordered the palak patta chaat appetizer which was excellent. It was a large portion as well. Our main dishes were the paneer kurchan masala and subz Milano. Both were nicely prepared with just the right amount of spice for us. Both came with rice we also ordered naan. We had a nice meal and great experience dining here and plan to return. I don't recall any music in the background.

Came in as I kept walking by this place and the smells attract you. The decor is nice and simple. The staff was very helpful and seemed to really enjoy working there. We tried a few different dishes and nothing was a disappointment. All the food was fresh and just delicious. This is now my go to Indian restaurant.

Chicken Karahi and Rajasthani Rabbit Plate (one with the orange slice in it)
    Ishara F.

I like that they have whole wheat roti options since people who have blood sugar problems can eat too. The food honestly does not taste that great for the price. The karahi chicken had a sweet taste that threw me off (I asked for Indian hot) and all of the appetizers that were supposed to have a tandoori taste was really lacking flavor (shrimp, octopus, and chicken). I never go to these "high-end" looking Indian restaurants mostly because the prices do not reflect the taste or portion sizes. I was hoping this place would be different but it was not. Also, when we asked for a second mojito and to not put lime in it the second time. I could hear the bartender yelling at our waiter saying "why did he ask for a mojito then because it is the base of the drink." The bartender could just tell the waiter to tell us it cannot be made like that and we would move on with our lives. He just yelled so we could hear him at the table. He ended up making the drink anyway but that could have been handled better.

Came here for dinner to catch up with a sister friend of mine who picked this place since she saw it in passing as she was here for a short visit in the area. Great choice! This place is great for a birthday, business, anniversary, or just because dinner night! The ambiance is super classy yet not too super fancy to where everyone has an heir about them lol Very swanky, very posh, very laidback yet high end. You basically get high-end without the high-end prices. The service was great and our servers tended to our every need, even down to suggestions and fan favorites. This was helpful since I'm still learning Indian cuisine and I had lots of questions about the different types of curry and sauces. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken and my friend ordered the Eggplant! Both were bomb! Each entree came with rice and we split garlic naan which paired well with the sauce that came with the Tandoori! We both stuffed ourselves and wanted to finish our meals down to the scraps because it was that good! Oh as an honorable mention, my Jack and Coke was made to perfection! Definitely give this place a go because you won't be disappointed!

We come here for the ambiance and the food. This is the second location we have tried and it never disappoints. For gen first time we sat at the bar and the recommendations we got were amazing! Thank you Mike for the wonderful stuffed mushrooms. We will see you soon!

Lamb Biryani, delivered by Uber Eats. I love how well they package each item.

But this past time I got takeout, the chicken tikka masala really blew me away. The flavor was very rich and well developed, without just a surface level flavor of tomato. Each bite of chicken was also very tender. To be fair I haven't had Indian food in a while and was really craving it but I was pleasantly surprised. Garlic naan could've been a bit more garlicky but was very good texturally, nice and chewy. The parking garage entrance is right next door (to the right of the restaurant) and you can get validated inside. If you're getting takeout, they text you a link you have to prepay through before they start preparing the food which is a bit annoying, but I get it.

This is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 3/5: The place from outside looks contemporary and chic. The bar looks inviting but as you enter the dining area, the place is dated. The decor looks shabby and I feel they should renovate for they have a reputation to maintain 2) Service 3/5: This was a hit and a miss for me. Though they are gracious enough to validate your parking, the service was at times good but at times slow and bad. One person was good at suggestions but the other person was really lazy. I went their for my birthday but they took about 10 minutes to get me a candle which was disappointing to say the least. 3) Food 4/5: This is where they excel. Although everything was pricey. The taste made up for it. We had: a) kaala khatta : This is basically shikanji but was refreshing b) mango chili mojito: My wife loved it. It tasted like you were eating raw mango with salt and chili powder. c) palak patta chaat - it was crispy and flavorful d) Chicken curry: Loved the taste. The accompanying rice was so less that it looked like a joke e) Chur chur naan and garlic naan: Pricey and ok f) Carrot halwa with ice cream: The combination was good but carrot halwa in general was ok. Tasted like the heated store bought frozen halwa 4) Value for money 3/5: Really pricey. The taste was look but for the amount, everything was pricey I would only return if I a really craving for Indian food with nothing in the vicinity and someone else is paying. The good: 1) Food and flavor Not so Good: 1) Decor 2) Prices 3) Service

A genuinely refreshing addition to our West Midtown rotation is here - and it's de-licious!…read more We planned our visit to give time for any opening friction points to smooth out, because we wanted to love this place right from the start. An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!

Our server prefaced taking our order with the fact that the food is more fusion style and non-spicy. And I think what he meant was more that it might have spice in terms of heat, but non-spiced in terms of having the typical boldness of Indian flavors. 3 stars for food overall Everything is served family style. We opted against the 13 item $65/pp tasting menu because it didn't have a lot of the stuff we wanted to try specifically. The green papaya salad, which I'd consider more a fusion item, was excellent 5/5. The charred corn 3/5 was kind of like an elote with south Asian spices and the potato samosa 4/5 was standard but unremarkable. The chicken tikka masala 2/5 lacked the previously mentioned rich Indian flavors although it had a bit of a kick. Garlic naan and rice were fine. Friends loved the smoked lamb neck, which had an osso buco style preparation. They were less impressed by the duck biryani - which is served in an enormous casserole dish of the rice and two duck legs sitting on top. Cocktails were fine but unremarkable. 2 stars for service - this was bizarre. Our server could never keep track of what we were trying to order - when a friend tried to order a glass of Malbec (red wine), he asked if it was a specific type of cocktail. They were very eager to clear plates that clearly had food remaining, but when we were finished and asking for takeaway containers, the guy basically walked away (after saying, anything you need, I'm here for you) and we had to ask a busser - who struggled to find them. While we were finally packing leftovers, the original server took plates that still had food in them. Service makes all the difference in many dining experiences. Ambiance and location were both just fine 4/5 - right on Howell Mill next to the Sweetgreen. They validate parking in the garage, for which the entrance is kind of on the back of the block and may be a bit confusing at first - just drive around the building!

Masti Indian Street Eats in John's Creek, Ga is by far the best at executing Vegetarian Indian Street Food. Do not be put off by the name "Street food". Vada Pav is a potato based veggie patty that has a buttery overtone. Savory and delicious. The best dish of the night is Palak Chat, a dish that excellently combines fried spinach in a cool salad format with a Tamarind dressing. Absolutely delicious. They have freshly made naan bread that is delicious. My wife ate the Chicken Alfredo and she said it the best "alfredo" that she has had. Of courses, it is with a South Indian taste. The saag (spinach) paneer is fresh and IS the best Indian spinach dish in Atlanta metro. The spinach tastes as fresh as the spinach that I have tasted from any farm. Highly recommend.
