Have been here many times since it has opened, and this place has never disappointed us. This is a great addition to the Happy Valley area and would highly recommend. Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: Everything that I have tried here has been good. Believe it or not garlic naan is the best of any Indian restaurant that I have tried (curries, appetizer, lassi, bread, biryani) etc. Curries are very delicious and close to authentic flavors. They do keep tea container in the restaurant that is complementary. Service: Good staff here and they do good in the overall experience. Not even a single time we saw a delay or any issues there. Ambiance: Small and squeezed seating but overall ambience is not you should be going here. It's just basic but that is not what this restaurant is trying to accomplish in my opinion. Everything is new including furnitures and restrooms. Hygiene: Overall cleaned but their restroom can be done better. Last visit had some restroom issues. Price: Very reasonably priced, not sure if this is soft launch prices or will stay like this forever but some of the dishes price will surprise you. For the value factor, this is a great restaurant.

Ok This is my new favorite Indian restaurant. Service was very attentive and made excellent suggestions over the menu. The music was a vibe. I was singing along. You can order at the counter or dine in. We need more of this in Norterra.

Amazing food. The bitter chicken was melt-in-your-mouth, and everything we ordered was simply delicious. Highly recommended!

A unique place with its own style. Clean, comfortable, with a friendly staff. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Andhra chicken.

The food tastes like someone cares, and it's kept fresh and rotating instead of sitting there dying under heat lamps. This is one of the few buffets where I don't feel like I'm compromising quality just because it's a buffet. The garlic naan deserves its own paragraph. It's legitimately great, and it's dangerously easy to keep grabbing just one more piece. Easily one of the highlights and clearly something they do right consistently. Menu-wise, the usual favorites show up for a reason. Chicken tikka masala, saag or palak paneer, biryani, vindaloo. Portions are generous if you order off the menu, and they're generally willing to adjust spice levels if you ask. Service is friendly and straightforward. No attitude, no upsell nonsense, just people doing their jobs well. In short, solid food, great value, and one of the better lunch buffets around.

We arrived around 530pm on a Friday night, and were the first people to arrive, but when we left around 630pm it had definitely picked up! The inside was clean was lots of places to sit, and a small bar area in the back! We started with an order of samosas which were delicious! After that, I ordered the chicken tikka masala which really delicious too, lots of flavor! We also ordered a side of paneer naan which was awesome! I'd never had stuffed naan before and this stuff was amazing. I would definitely order it again. A really great place to eat Indian food at, definitely recommend stopping in for dinner or lunch, I think they have an all you can eat lunch buffet.

A girlfriend and I had a lovely patio meal on a quiet weekday, and I finally took some photos and committed to writing a nice review. Truth be told, this is at least my third visit so it's due. Friendly counter guy was patient and answered our many questions. I chose my favorite standard order, the chicken tikka masala with rice. After getting more details about the preparation I decided to try the mango side salad, too. I could not have been happier with my choices. The Tikka masala has a lovely ratio of meat to curry sauce and was a mild spice. Very creamy with tender chicken fully hot all the way through. The basmati rice is fluffy and seasoned perfectly the compliment the masala. The surprise star of this meal was the side mango salad! Tons of fresh spring mix lettuce, chunks of mango, shredded carrots and a delightful sweet dressing. It was very bright, with perfectly ripened fruit and crisp greens. This is not a small side salad, so it is definitely a high value bargain, and could easily be a meal with a protein added. GF ordered a paneer wrap with fries. She raved about the flavor, took two bites more bites of the wrap and then picked at the fries and confessed it was all going home for her son. GLP1 appetite? Anyway she ended up ordering a mango side salad for him to go, after we finished eating. I did taste a chunk of the paneer at her urging, the cheese was in small cubes, with a flavorful sauce. I prefer chicken myself. When the to go mango salad was ready, friendly counter guy brought it out to our patio table, and had a nice chat with us. An articulate upbeat good ambassador for the company, he was helping at our location for the day and was very positive about the Tikka Shack brand's future. I fully agree!

At least on a Tuesday when you can get your choice of chicken, tikka or butter tikka plus rice and a drink and plain naan for around 12 bucks. They were not that busy when we came in around 4 PM. But it still took them over 20 minutes to get us our food Togo. You order from a screen - although the team is right there to answer any questions. They didn't greet me and were not friendly. They seem to be pretty standoffish and definitely not trained in a Customer Service. We tried both the butter, chicken and the tikka chicken. And got one regular naan and paid $1 extra extra try the garlic naan. I absolutely love garlic. And And would never pay the dollar extra again for the garlic naan it was not very good and not worth the up charge The butter chicken was surprising and ended up being my favorite over the regular tikka chicken. We also tried the masala fries (the fries themselves are slightly spicy but when you put the masala sauce on them, it tones it down) , which were incredible!!! And the coconut curry wings. It would've been nice to be warned that the coconut curry wings are extremely spicy. It did not mention that anywhere, and I was not expecting to have that level of heat. Also got the glub juman for desert. Don't sleep on this. It is so good!!! I should mention that for their drink selection, soda, wise they only have one of those Coke freestyle machines which I find disgusting (once you see what they look like on the inside and how they're never cleaned you would agree too) . I opted for one of the three teas that they had instead in a separate fountain thing. Overall, we will definitely be back just might order ahead of time on the app since the service is so slow... or rather non existent.

Let's skip the parking drama and get to the food and restaurant. Well stocked bar although I didn't partake of adult beverages today. Instead I did the non alcoholic mango lassi (I had this drink for the 1st time at my new favorite Indian buffet & it was phenomenal there) so I tried theirs and it was banging too. Interior is nice Indian music playing and multiple TVs going some with Indian cooking, Indian dance, and news. When you come in greeted and seated quickly. If you see my other reviews when I go to any special ethnic restaurant, when I see their culture eating there you already know it's going to be TASTE BUD HEAVEN. I did the chicken curry Tika masala, the bao bun, and garlic naan. Yup it was good as Heck. 5 stars every dish. Very pleased. I'm so relaxed with the music I want a coffee but I'm full. You don't have to order rice in addition to the chicken tikka masala if that's what you order, which is nice. I am glad that this is the case because it was a little more than what I was expecting to spend. However, I do think that the price was okay for dinner. Another note that I will offer about the food is that they do allow you to customize the spice levels, which is nice. The service was more than I had ever expected, especially for just having placed a to go order. They allowed me to sit inside the restaurant while I waited for my food, noted that I was waiting on my order so that it would come out in a reasonable time, and also offered me a to go water while I was waiting. The containers that my food came in are honestly ones that I could reuse. The ambience of the restaurant is also nice. There is a nice patio with different types of seating to accommodate all needs. The inside has a nice bar and they have music playing at a volume that allows you to listen, but it's not too loud. There is also a separate parking lot across the street that is reserved for customers of the restaurant, which is really nice since it is located in downtown. I will definitely be coming back to dine in.

Much like many nicer restaurants in the area, they have both indoor and outdoor patio seating. Interiors are modern tastefully done. We started off with mango lassis and an order of chicken pakoras. The mango lassi (5/5) was delightfully refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness and mango accents, with just a touch of rose syrup added to make it more attractive. The chicken pakoras (4.5/5) were delicious and tender, served in a generous portion and in a very mildly spiced chickpea batter. For meals, we got the vegetable kolhapuri and paneer tikka masala lababdar along with some butter naan. The vegetable kolhapuri (5/5) the waiter recommended was a hit, as was the paneer tikka masala lababdar (4.5), both served with sauces/gravy that weren't too sweet or loaded with excess cream. The butter naan (4.5/5) was also delicious and served in a generous portion as well. We especially liked the complimentary rice (5/5) that accompanied the meals, as it was a bit different from the standard rice you get at other Indian restaurants. Service (5/5) was incredibly kind and gracious throughout the meal, even though the one waiter (possibly the owner) was attending to all the guests. He kept checking in to see how everything was, and promptly provided us with additional rice upon request. We really enjoyed this meal and would recommend Curries to anyone looking for high quality Indian food at reasonable prices in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area.

Dough was light and fluffy, filling was flavorful. Sauces were well done. Tandoori Chicken was very good, but they put raw onions on top instead of on the bottom so the vegetables didn't really get cooked well enough to eat. The chicken was delicious, well marinated, and tender. Excellent. We got a lamb curry which was well done but slightly on the salty side. We were missing depth of flavor there but the lamb was tender and juicy. The garlic naan was solid, and the Peshawari naan was almost like baklava! Very sweet. I liked it but the sweetness overpowered the flavors. A dessert more than a naan. Third dish was mixed vegetable in tomatoey/chana like sauce. Bland, wouldn't order again. They said their signature dishes are the Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken so we will try those next time. A solid choice for Indian fare!
