Highly recommend Tablas Creek Vineyard to anyone who is looking for a tasting experience at an unhurried pace, from an admirably sustainable and regenerative vineyard, and from staff who are incredibly knowledgeable of the history of the vineyard and wines. Jules was friendly, experienced and made our tasting fun, memorable, and educational. It was an eye opening experience for a novice wine taster. The weather and outdoor seating were lovely. The vineyard harbors a rich history (from the Chateauneuf du Pape) with a mission to sustain the land, wine, and their staff into the future.

What a beautiful winery! It's far from town, but where all the big wineries are. Make reservations on online, and it's prepay but they reimburse you once you show up. We did the full red tasting. They had a lot of Rhône style blends, like GSM style. Wines were more affordable then a boutique winery. We like GSMs. The wines are on the lighter and tart side, pairs well with like pasta or Italian food. I don't know if they serve food but I wish they did. We sat on the patio, it was such a beautiful day. Kid friendly as the grounds are big. They have 2 electric car charger (one Tesla and one general one) however just one parking space, so if a non Tesla was using it, you can't use the Tesla one. But plenty of parking and beautiful scenery.

Oooooo my favorite winery in Paso Robles so far!! I loooove a good dry white and they had some really good ones. The location was stunning and we enjoyed the shade and the table outdoors. I ended up with a case of wine and on the wine club haha but I really loved most of the wines I tasted. I enjoyed our sommelier and the pacing is nice and slow as many other wineries. No idea about prices I was just splurging (whoops). I really loved this winery and the wines, and I would hope to get a chance to return someday. For now I may just enjoy the wine club HEE HEE!

Great service from Pixy today. My husband and I shared two tastings. Wine was very good, really enjoyed the ambiance, sitting outdoors under the umbrella with a beautiful view. It was a hot day today 92° to be exact, the misters and the umbrellas kept it very comfortable. Enjoyed the education about their wines from Pixy.

Came to Tablas Creek on a warm weekend during Memorial day. It was a busy time! They have a nice setup with some umbrellas and some coolers. Be aware that it is much warmer up at Tablas Creek than some other wineries in Paso. The wine was very good, and prices for bottles were all reasonable. Our friends became wine club members on the trip, so i'm sure that we will be back again in the future. Our server was a nice guy and very knowledgeable about their wines. They are mostly all Rhone varietals, and were pleasant. We had our kids with us, and it was not a problem. There was a slight bit of attitude with the hostess, who gave us a hard time for having 2 reservations. Even though I had emailed and texted them about this prior to arrival, she still made a comment of "you need to tell us next time if you have 2 reservations." I had known this and previously went out of my way to let them know. Regardless, they were accommodating, but didn't seem too happy about it. I'm not sure what else I could have done in advance (besides just not going with a group of 4 adults and 3 kids). This did not ruin the experience at all though, and we will happily return.

Great service; Jules as the greeter/host. And then Terrance the pourer. Great ambiance; Beautiful outdoor patio. Fun lobby/gift shop/tasting room. Wines; throughout our 16 years of California wine exposure from Healdsburg/Sonoma/Napa thru Los Gatos/Saratoga/Morgan Hill/Gilroy through and all around Paso Robles, we've never heard of most of these wines let alone tasted them. Each of our party of 6 liked one of them. Overall pleasant experience.

Looks like we have a drinking problem but I promise these only had splashes of some of their very best.

Let's start with WOW! This location has such an interesting and rich history - Jonathan shared it all AND made sure our flight was enjoyable and casual. THIS spot was like relaxing in a beautiful park with amazing views of the vineyard-covered hillsides. Perfect pours and great service! It was just Jonathan's second day working solo and he NAILED IT! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful vineyard and lovely wines. Highly recommend the walking wine tour (starts at 10am and finishes with wine tasting). Ray (our guide) was very knowledgeable and a fantastic guide. The tour finished with a tasting where we tried a mixture of whites, rose, and reds. All the wines were very smooth and enjoyable.

Lovely tour and tasting with Heidi- she was great!! We've tasted at Tablas Creek 4-5 times; this was the 1st time for a tour. Heidi was knowledgeable, down to earth, and we love her... almost as much as the wines. Fabulous wines, locale, and concept. Thanks Heidi and Tablas Creek

Classic Flight and Red Flight: $25/tasting for 5 pours (fee waived with two bottle purchase). Tablas Creek is a must visit when experiencing the Paso Robles wine region. This was our second visit, and we had a fantastic time on both occasions. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and provide an energetic tasting experience. The property has both head trained and trellis vineyards, and includes a beautiful, terraced patio to sit out on and enjoy your wine selections. Inside, you can see their super, large barrels called "foudres", which hold 1,200 gallons. NOTE: They do have several EV charging stations in the parking area. WINES: Their wines are made in a classic French "Rhône" style and defy my usual heavier mouth feel palate. We shared a Classic and Red tasting flight. The white wines are crisp, smooth, and delicious. The Esprit de Tablas Blanc is based on Roussanne, with additions of Grenache Blanc and Picpoul varietals...definitely a favorite! The Esprit de Tablas is based on Mourvèdre, with additions of Grenache, Syrah, and Counoise varietals. I haven't met anyone yet who doesn't love Tablas Creek and their wines. I highly recommend you make it a point to visit them.

Ask the Community - Tablas Creek Vineyard

Is the outside area puppy friendly?

    Yes

Is food served? Are we allowed to bring our own food?

Thanks, Mary. We don't serve food at Tablas Creek, but we do have picnic tables where you're welcome to enjoy anything you bring.

Is this winery kid friendly/ allows small children?

Normally, we very much are. We have a kids coloring table in our tasting room, and kids are welcome on vineyard tours. But with our activities restricted to outdoors because of Covid-19 precautions, and with groups responsible for maintaining… Read more

It was described a place: with a guy, his dog and goats, a shack, delicious wine, and that's exactly what it was. Super down to earth host, outdoor seating in the shade, with a backyard vibe. The owner was a super cool dude, playing classic rock on the radio, who makes sure your glass is always full and you have everything you need. And while we're all about a relaxed wine tasting experience, especially when animals are involved, the wine still has to be good, and luckily that was the case here! We came in without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon and were warmly greeted by two of the winery dogs - already a big success. We checked in at the tasting room and were greeted by Greg, the owner and our host for the day, then grabbed a spot outside. Greg brought the wines from the tasting menu out 1 at a time and told us a little about each. We even got an extra pour of an off menu wine. We ended up taking two bottle home from the tasting - the rosé and the R'own blend.

The views here are just WOW and it's even adorable driving in. You see the little train tracks they have as well as the small but mighty runway where planes can actually fly in and land. So unique! The views from inside or outside are both spectacular, and I enjoyed the ambiance with live music while we were here on a Sunday. Service was great and the food was even better. We ordered the caprices salad which typically comes with tomatoes, but since the chef only works with what's in season, it came with peas. I can't even tell you how amazing it was -- even my boyfriend wanted more! We split the Halter Ranch Burger and Chicken Sandwich and both were great, but the chicken was just so fresh and delicious. We flew in (!!!) to the airstrip on the property, where we were then given a short ride to the main winery. Landing here requires advanced notice and some paperwork, but wasn't too much of a hassle. We also split the charcuterie board and chicken sandwich. The charcuterie was alright, but nothing amazing. Same for the chicken sandwich, overall pretty good but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it here. The service was really great, and we enjoyed walking around the property after lunch. The tasting menu consisted of 9 wines, 1 white and 8 reds. Since we had another winery or two ahead of us, we opted to share. My boyfriend was skeptical about sharing at first, but he ended up glad we did because the pours were a pretty decent size. They also had a wall of olive oils and balsamics that you could taste.
