No parking lot, but there was green curb parking in front. I just parked and hopped out to grab the food quickly. Everyone loved their dish. These are what we tried: -Salmon entree. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Nice and slightly crisp on the outside. Juicy inside. Garlic sauce was delicious too. Didn't care for the salad at all. 4/5 -Falafel. So crispy. After a long day today I ordered takeout from Taboon, one of my favorite local places. My husband picked up and brought back home, and I was so excited to dig in! Imagine my disappointment when I open the box and see the chicken shawarma severely overcooked/ fried. It looks and tastes like chicharron. I am used to tender flavorful chicken, and not just greasy over fried fat bits. I don't know if it was because it's the end of the day, but I am so disappointed that the quality control was not there today and they actually served this. Lesson learned, we will always be opening the box on site. I really hope the restaurant corrects this because I would like trust them and to continue being a customer. read more

Was so excited to try this place since I heard so many good things about it but was sadly underwhelmed. I did get a side of falafel that was AMAZING but the lamb sandwiches felt underseasoned and plain and the side of hummus was just ok and nothing to write home about. Service was fine. No complaints. My husband & I have been to many Mediterranean spots and we have to say that Taboon is definitely our favorite!! Everything we have ordered has been so delicious. My husband's go-to entree is the Taboon Mx Grill Plate and mine is the Chicken Shawarma. Every part of the plate is AMAZING...from the meats to the hummus to the grilled onions & more! We've tried several apps which have been all good but our must is the Cauliflower. We always leave room for their Baklava a La Mode with pistachio ice cream...just the best! I have been meaning to check this place out for quite some time. I went in for lunch at around 12:15pm on a Friday. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it wasn't crowded. I sat outdoors and enjoyed the free coffee when you check in on Yelp. They have QR menus as well as traditional menus. Dennis was my server and he was friendly and checked in with me frequently to see if I needed anything. I ordered the Garlic potatoes , Falafel Wrap and Baklava togo. The Falafel wrap did not have enough flavor for me. Dennis brought me some Garlic Sauce and some Tahini sauce and that was a game changer. It was a lot of food so I ended up taking most of it home. The food was good but it wasn't great, hence the four star rating. I did like the fact that they had QR codes that accept Apple Pay on the check so you could pay the bill without having to wait on server. I will go back and try other menu items. read more

Fantastic! This was the only pic I could get because my whole table dug into the food immediately but it was amazing. This is the beef kabob plate and I thought it was a very generous serving for $21. My partner and I split the plate and it was a great amount of food for both of us. We also got an iced tea and the lemon mint drink. The lemon mint was AMAZING. It was more like a slush consistency which surprised us but it tasted fantastic!! Our servers were so attentive and friendly and the indoor seating was very nicely decorated. My only complaint was that it was a little warm inside but that's really it. I ordered 2 taboon mixed grilled plates (totaling $68) and my friend had a bug in his food. I called to speak with a manager and the guy who answered told me they're busy come in tomorrow. I explained I drove from the high desert (over 2 hours) so that's not an option, he then hung up on me forcing me to call back the next day. When I spoke to the owner of the restaurant and explained the situation his first response wasn't to apologize for the bug in my food or his staff hanging up on me, it was "So you're telling me you found a bug in your food? what kind of bug because my restaurant is always clean". which I didn't doubt, because it was! however I still found a bug in my food so his response was very alarming. after a back and fourth he agreed to refunding me since we three our food away. when the refund came it was a partial refund for $29 because I only found a bug in one of the plates Even though NOBODY would still eat from a place after their partner found a bug in their food. None the less from the bug in the food, to the staff encounter, and OWNER encounter I am disappointed and will never return back and i made sure I told everyone I introduced to this restaurant about it. If you choose to eat here check your food thoroughly before leaving or eating it, you won't get another chance to plead your case here! read more

I drive by Taboon all the time on my way to LBX. And for the longest time, I kept telling myself to try it out sometime. Finally, the wife and I did. Long Beach has a great selection of fantastic Mediterranean options. Ammatoli and Open Sesame for the more upscale spots, Panini Kabob and George's and for more casual spots, and Green Olive and Pita Pitaki for fast spots. All of those I listed I enjoy. Taboon joins the list. I decided to try a variety of options. Started with the fried cauliflower and the dolmas, both delicious. To compare Open Sesame vs Taboon's fried cauliflower, Taboon's I think has a better presentation and I like the tahini drizzled over the cauliflower itself. I will say Open Sesame has a crunchier texture (probably because the tahini is on the side there) but both are good. Dolmas are good. Nothing to write home about, but they're good. I was debating about getting an entree portion or a smaller portion for dinner. I decided since, we had 2 apps and a bunch of pita, I opted for the bowl of their version of a lule kabab. I enjoyed the bowl overall and it hit the spot. Filled me up perfectly. So good food, fast service (the food came out very quickly....may be concerning to some but I suspect that the meats are partially cooked beforehand so they can be finished to order, which I'm fine with), and, to me, Taboon's location gives this a good review because it's quite close to me. I also like that I don't have to wait 20 years for a seat, unlike some of its competitors. read more

Excellent Mediterranean food! I enjoy the fish kebab, beef kebab and salmon entree. I've tried the halloumi cheese and the Bixby choice but didn't care for either. The fish kebab is my favorite, it's marinated salmon and oh so delicious. I enjoy the beef, it's perfectly seasoned. I also like the two types of onions. The Yelp check in offer for the coffee is amazing. I like to go and eat outside with my dog. The server is always so nice, she gives water for my dog and checks on us often enough. This place has amazing ambiance from the strung lights to the live band that played when we visited Friday night. Service was quick and our waiter was attentive, suggesting great dishes that would go along with the wine that was recommended. The food portions were huge! I really like the side of red picked onion. I asked for seconds. There was a lot of food and I had enough to make it two meals.
