This place is the closest thing you can get to in Arkansas from Memphis. It is in the middle of nowhere and it is great. The place is huge and there plenty of parking. There is literally all kinds of different foods for your liking. The menu is immense! From burgers to grilled chicken, patty melts to the options for desserts. It was a little hard to choose on what to eat here. I had a fish sandwich because it is was they had just made fresh and with a Yelp check-in they had a free small smoothie or milk shake..and with that there were so many flavors to choose from. The sandwich was tasty and you can taste the freshness of the fish. I wanted to get sides, but I also wanted to possibly try a dessert. For my free shake I got Nutter Butter flavor. I don't typically get shakes, but what the heck right? By this point I was full and didn't get anymore dessert like I had anticipated. We stopped in for lunch and it was tasty. We had the open face roast beef plate lunch. The cornbread was moist and sweet. The potatoes were real. The Lima beans were seasoned perfectly. Last but not least was the beef. It was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It's definitely a stop for lunch again. Price was reasonable as well. We tried the shakes. These are 5 star also. This is a very cool retro diner/burger/shake shack. The interior is in 1950s/1960s motif with pictures of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe on the walls. Appropriately themed music was playing. They had a small buffet with country fried steak or chicken, mash potatoes, Brussel sprouts, etc. the burgers were awesome, as were the fries. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This is what an old school style shake shack is all about! The vibe is fun and nostalgic with a very clean feel unlike some diners we've all been to lol. The food? Oh yeah. Super solid. I had the catfish sandwich and tried two burgers that my family got along with the tots and onion rings. All very good. The catfish sandwich was for sure my favorite thing we got though. This spot is right off of the freeway too which makes it easy to visit on road trips and get fuel next door etc. Go get you a fish sando!!! Oh! Country style diner. Lots of stuff on the menu especially burgers and fries. Homemade deserts and ice cream shakes. I tried the Mac and cheese burger. The meat was seasoned well and good. The Mac and cheese was a little bland and bacon wasn't as crispy as I like after requesting extra crispy. The bun was thick and wasn't soft so removed it. Sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. Friendly service, paper plates and plastic utensils. Read a lot of good reviews about the place. Got here about 45 minutes before closing. Will have to try something else next time. read more

This family-owned and run barbecue restaurant was an ideal spot for me to stop and begin my quick self-guided tour of the southeast. After giving my order to the wonderfully-polite kids, I had an excellent conversation with the father, whose parents founded this great establishment in the 1970's. And just listening to the conversations going on at the adjacent tables, it's obvious that this is one of the places in town where folks can come just to say Hey, chitchat and generally have a great time with their neighbors. And their food will make the experience a great one. I enjoyed a BBQ plate with a complimentary small milkshake (Yelp members' check ins are appreciated here). Though I have to say I probably should have gone with their chicken or fish. I'm not a huge pulled pork fan, though theirs is real good. Anyhow, Big John's (or Tacker's) Shake Shack is an American original and a class piece of Americana. We read the reviews and were excited to get a shake here. We pulled into the parking lot at 8:20 pm on a Monday and watched the kids/ employees turn off the lights inside. We saw the flashing green open sign and checked the hours as more lights turned off inside. There were two cars in the drive through and the posting said they were open till 9.
