Ive ordered new baits just for them to call me and tell me one of the colors is backordered and I won't be able to get it. Then next day they ship it and guess what another color is just not shipped because I assume it also got backordered and they ain't care to even tell me . Last month I wrote a review for American Legacy Fishing Co, and it made me realize that I had never written a review for Tackle Warehouse, my "usual" online fishing tackle supplier. Over the years, I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of fishing tackle & gear from Tackle Warehouse. Hands down, they have the best selection of tackle, there's no argument there. Prices are competitive with other tackle retailers, but honestly, I usually just wait for sales, which often happen on Holidays, like Christmas or the 4th the July. Everything is always packaged correctly, occasionally, my orders are spilt into two separate shipments, but that's no Big Deal to me. And I always get Free Shipping, because I make sure my orders are over $50. Sometimes the order will take a few more days longer to arrive, than say LandBigFish.com, but that's only because TW is on the West coast and LBF is closer to me. Again, no Big Deal, I'm happy with Tackle Warehouse and will continue to order from them when I need more fishing tackle, I'd say a good 75% of my fishing tackle purchases every year are from Tackle Warehouse. I don't get the all negative reviews for Tackle Warehouse, it certainly hasn't been my experience for the last 15 years of being a customer with them. read more

On 12/22/25 I received an email stating that one of the items, for which I was charged $10.12 plus tax, was out of stock and that I refunded for the item. However, when I checked the refund, I found that TW refunded me only $8.43. When I contacted TW about the short refund, they informed me on 12/22 that the error would be corrected and the full amount refunded. On 1/7/26, weeks after the correction was to have been made, I again emailed TW about the missing money. On 1/8/26 TW responded that the refund of $8.43 had been made and the issue considered closed. Worst Customer Service EVER Paid for UPS 2 day with the intention of getting my gear prior to my Northern Michigan Smallmouth trip. I ordered on a Wednesday morning. On the intended delivery day (Friday), I received an email stating that the 2 day delivery is now arriving on a Tuesday (instead of Friday). That's 6 days from my order day...and I paid for expedited delivery! That's an UNACCEPTABLE level of customer service from a company that bills itself as a leader in fishing tackle. Long time customer of Tacklewarehouse, ending my relationship with this retailer today. Paid $15 for overnight shipping for an item I needed for a fishing trip. Confirmed the correct shipping address in PayPal, submitted payment through Paypal, Paypal email receipt shows correct shipping address. Tacklewarehouse sent to the wrong address. Mistakes happen, no problem! Called up customer service. They refused to waive the overnight shipping fee. Refused to even waive priority shipping on a replacement order. Basically told me they have a website design flaw where they don't accept the PayPal shipping address and tough shit. They did offer to reroute the shipment for an extra charge! The nerve! Their screw up and they want to charge me more to make it right. I know this is a big name in tackle, but there are better places to get your gear. The Hook Up tackle will get all my business now. Was real hesitant to give them a shot from these reviews. Made a small test purchase. Items shipped quickly, they were in constant contact throughout the process and items showed up several days later with no issue. Made a much larger purchase after. Through my fault the billing address was incorrect and they were on top of it emailed me immediately and received multiple responses within the hour getting it handled and shipped off just as quick as if I had done it correctly. Their prices were lower than all the stores in my area and I would highly recommend them. I'm glad I gave them a shot and they will have my return business from here on out. Absolutely HORRID customer service. When you call they will promise you the world, but BEWARE!!! After over 5 attempts to have just a tracking number for a high end fish finder that was supposed to have been shipped over a week ago they make up ANOTHER story about fraud and order cancelation, wrong phone number entered, and then no tracking number. If you are expecting to receive anything from these guys DON'T just get a refund and go somewhere else... I talked to not only their customer service online but also by calling the store and even spoke with management, they simply don't care and you can hear it in their voices, and see by their actions. Where do i begin!!!!!!!!! I heard a lot of good things about this company and i had the worst experience. My experience was soo bad It got me wondering about the type of people that work their. I placed 2 orders i cancelled one of them. (Problem1) They managed to withdraw money from my bank account for the cancelled order and not the order i actually wanted. (Problem 2They tell me they will ship out the order i wanted yesterday but i call today and now they tell me its on back order and it wont ship till next week ( my advice) work on your online system to make sure tbe orders in stock state ( back order) to eliminate false postings and confusions. Problem 3- the people on the phone need further training. One lady suggested i email the customer service. I emailed customer service, they called me back but i didnt answer. When i called them back they recommended i send another email about my orders?!?!?!?! As you can see people their is a lot of unorganized business going on.
