Good food. Great service. Beautiful view at sunset. Disappointed to get the bill and to see that the slushees our kids got were $14 each. (There was no price on the menu and we should have asked.) We were told after asking about the price on the bill that you can get them with alcohol and they actually cost less. read more

Great location overlooking the beautiful bay. Watch the fishing boats come in! Food is frozen though, not fresh off the boat, and just average. Not the place for you if you have food allergies. If you order take out, check it before you leave. read more

First impression was a little off as 4 in our group of 8 arrived and we were told to go wait for the rest of our party before returning to the line. She even asked us to walk away. Then a ton more people came before the rest of our group arrived and we thought we could have just moved back to wait but after all that we probably only waited in line 5 minutes. So their process seemed to work. Sat quickly and had a server come right away to take drink orders. She forgot one drink and some limes we requested, and I was a bit annoyed I had to ask her twice to bring a cup of water. It seemed like she had a lot of tables and wasn't able to fully handle them all. However when the food came- wow the steamed Royal Red's shrimp really was the best shrimp I've ever had!! I don't usually like peel and eat when I'm dining out- too much work! But this I was ok with after the first bite! Also good to mention the seafood salad- pleasantly surprised by the crawfish in it and how strong a good flavor it added! read more

Atmosphere: Cool little place next to a marina. Good outdoor views and a funky fun vibe overall. Great place to have a drink if you're in the area. Food: Meh. It's just aiight. Basic kinda beach bar menu. Fish tacos are nothing more than a basic cold tortilla, lettuce, shredded cheese, and a strange kinda sauce. Comes with some straight from Walmart corn chips, and a little fancy out-of-the-jar salsa. Nothing seemed real fresh - but again, it was bar food. Those sucky tacos we're $16.95 tho!!! Service: bar tender was super friendly and so were the other servers around. The hostesses were very rude and I almost turned around at the door bc of it. I am a local. I went to Tacky Jacks Ft Morgan Al to have a beer and an appetizer tonight while I ordered food for my wife and I for dinner to take out. I was told by the bartender upstairs (Dexter) that I could not order take out. I was extremely confused and left the restaurant. This has now happened to me twice. This time I called and spoke to the manager Leslie. She stated that since I was not calling it in and ordering numerous covers that should not be a problem. If you need something simple and are dealing with an employee(s) trying to be the manager ask for Leslie. I have told local friends about the issue and they have quit eating there. About an hour wait, which we expected. Once seated our waitress was nice and promptly stop by to get things started. The food (gator bites app, and then four entrees) came out quick, which was nice. The royal reds were some of the most difficult to peel I have ever had. Either not cooked long enough or too long, I do not have a clue. They tasted fine. The gumbo was OK. The prices were somewhat high for the food. The annoying kicker was the upcharge for using a credit card (3-4%). Probably less than 3% of patrons pay in cash, so it is more or less a nice way to increase the average check. read more

Had a great experience at Tacky Jack's!! The location is on the water and just the view we were looking for! Their patio is dog friendly which made for the perfect lunch spot for us! We watched the boats while grabbing down on some good eats. My husband got the wings and said they were great!! I got the firecracker shrimp wrap which had great flavor and was huge! Our waiter was kind and even brought our pup some ice water. Service was fast as well! Highly recommend for your time in GS! read more

I do recommend this place, with conditions. It's a high volume tourist trap. The locals go here for their burgers or wraps, which are fantastic. Just had the double smash burger and it was on point. Service was great because they were not slammed busy. If you're waiting an hour plus to eat at this place when it's slammed, you need to go somewhere else. Food is awful, atmosphere is terrible, service is at a snails pace, management doesn't give a crap. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes to be seated, we waited another 20 minutes to get our drinks. During the wait for our drinks, we saw the manager holding up the wall - just propped up against the wait station with no sense of urgency to assist his staff or customers. Appetizers were delivered without sauces. The crawfish was all breading on a bread of lettuce creating the illusion of plenty. When our food came, almost an hour later, they left off one of our entrees. As for the entrees, you can better from Captain Ds seafood. Tiny portions, bland and rubbery breading. Fried oysters were barely done. The fish is SWAI FISH, which is an insult to the Gulf Coast and the fishermen who bring in fresh seafood 100 yards away. The sweet tea was good, and in the south, that is BARE MINIMUM for somewhere to stay open. The cocktail sauce was okay. read more

Firecracker shrimp poboy was indeed firecrackin. Probably check the market price of crab claws before you order or be prepared to take out a small loan. Out for a Sunday Drive and decided to check out Fort Morgan this afternoon. Stopped in to Tacky Jacks for a cocktail. Greeted by a hostess with little to no enthusiasm. I told her we were just having a cocktail and she said we could get it at the bar. Walked into the bar and was met by a man who just walked up to me and said Nothing. Not Good Afternoon, Not How May I help you, I mean nothing but a stone face. Like he just wanted to Kick my butt. Very strange. I figured out he wasn't going to speak so I proceeded to place my order for a beer and cocktail for my wife. Still nothing from him until he returned my credit card and the tab and then he almost reluctantly said, "have a nice day". Unbelievable!! Terrible experience and only the second time I have stopped there in about as many years because my first experience with TJ at that location was very similar. I know Tacky Jacks hires Jamaicans. Not sure why unless they are paying them very minimal wages, but I have never received excellent service from any of the Tacky Jacks locations. I think they really need to teach these immigrant workers how to treat Americans. I probably won't be back for another two years!!! read more

Tasty seafood and burgers in a beach- casual atmosphere overlooking the bay. Lots on the menu to choose from. We enjoyed the oyster po-boy, fish po-boy and the cheeseburger. All were very good and the staff was friendly and quick. Good spot to eat in Ft Morgan. read more

Party of 4, arrived at 7:20pm. We knew there would be a wait and that was fine. Waited longer at the table though than we did for the table. No one said anything to us. Finally was greeted and he took out drink order, then we watched him take someone's food order, deliver food, and get side plates and stuff for people before getting our drinks. If you order a hurricane, ask for a floater bc they don't put much alcohol in it which kind of defeats the purpose of a hurricane. Food was mediocre. Not the place it was last year. Not sure I'll return, at least not happily. read more

Went to Tacky Jacks in Ft Morgan last night, 9/19/24, and had a great time in the downstairs bar. I'm a big karaoke fan and they didn't disappoint with Tony from 6-9 and he's also there on Saturday same time. Bartender, Kim, was fabulous!! Saw to our every need. Will be back. read more
