Such a fun place that is like no other. We went on a Friday night and had an hour wait for a party of three. The wait time went by quickly with browsing the gift shop, grabbing a drink at the bar and people watching. We had Lisa as a server who was fantastic. We absolutely love this place when we go to Gulf Shores. The food is amazing. You have to get their crab claws as an appetizer if it's not too long of a wait asked to sit by the water. We saw dolphins in the water that evening as we ate dinner. My go to is a chicken quesadilla. It is a great size and you will definitely have leftovers. The chicken was very flavorful and don't forget the guacamole. The gumbo in my opinion is just OK. It could use a little bit more spices. Great atmosphere! We actually got to skip the wait for a table by sitting at the bar. It ended up being perfect because we had a view of the water with the boats coming in to the marina & the band from the bar. Food was great and there was a lot of it. I got the burger and my friend got fried fish. Even saw some dolphins. The band was great as well and it wasn't too loud where you can't hear each other speak. They have a game room for the kids and you can check out all the cool boats at the marina. Even a gift shop. I highly recommend for the environment alone! We had a great experience at Lulu's Gulf Shores. We dined on a Saturday night and were told a twenty minute wait. We waited a little less than that. We had a table with a great water view. Service was a little slow, but they were packed. Our server was so kind and delightful. I had a bushwhacker as my first drink and it was delicious. We started with queso and salsa and both were good. For my main I had the catch of the day blackened. I can't remember what type of fish it was, but it was light and flaky. Zero fishiness. The hush puppies that came with were also delicious. I asked my server to surprise me with my second drink and she brought be a frozen peach drink that was spectacular. We had a great experience at Lulu's. It was really helpful that there's a lot to do while you wait for a table. They also have free ice water available in the waiting area and we found this extremely helpful. This is a great spring break spot. Live music, lots of seating, and good food and drink. This is our second location of Lulu's restaurants and we enjoy visiting them. read more

We ate here yesterday. Wonderful experience for the whole family. Our waiter Zach was great. He was bartender and waiting. The margaritas were just ok (the first one I got did have a hair in it- that they immediately replaced). All of our food was delicious! I got the shrimp bowl and ate every bite. The WOW sauce!! WOW! The kids ate great too! Nachos were amazing. But even with the food- the environment was so fun! The kids had the best time playing in the sand. The arcade and gift shop are great. We had friends recommend Lulus so we thought we'd give it a try. It's a really large and popular place. Even with how big it is we waited 1-1/2 hours to get seated (we were told 45 mins). But they have it down with an arcade to keep the kids busy (and parents / grandparents spending more $!). Also several bars and live music to keep adults busy!! I knew they were on the waterfront and had live music, but I didn't know about the arcade or outdoor activities (sand volleyball, ropes courses, cornhole, face painting, etc). The menu is huge and has something for everyone. My husband and I ordered the Big Fry Basket for two ($58), which was the BEST value, and absolutely brimming with crab claws - which, by themselves, were listed for the market price of $40. I really hated that I have to give this review to a family favorite since about 2012, but it must be done. The prices for the meals here are ridiculous. My pictures show their bacon Pawmenna cheeseburger meal for $22. I cut it in half because I was sharing it with someone. The bacon was just gross!! It was barely cooked and 2/3 fat. It came off the burger immediately--not eating that. They skimped on everything: pimento cheese and fries were totally inadequate for the price of $22. Is paying about $8 more per meal worth it just for the atmosphere? Only you can decide, but we have decided it's not! Just be aware this is an open air restaurant so you may be hot! But the sand pit for the kids makes up for the lack of AC and helps make the wait seem not as long for the food! They told us we had a 45 minute wait but it only turned out to be 20, and there is plenty to do, even with kids, while waiting for your dinner. There's a very cool gift shop across the way and some outdoor areas for the kids. We bought some souvenirs and I bought one of her cookbooks.
